NEW YORK (PRWEB) JANUARY 02, 2019

Helping to better incorporate and empower todays freelance workforce, MediaPlanet today announces the launch of their first ever “Empowering Freelance Workers” campaign. This campaign will look to empower the freelance workforce and portray these ever-growing opportunities for them in today’s gig-economy and provide them with inspiration as well as tolls and resources for safety and success.

Freelancers, contract workers, and independent workers currently make up about 34% of the workforce in the United States, equivalent to about 57 million workers. With this new and expanding gig-economy, freelance, contract, and independent workers continue to increase in numbers, but their type of work and choice of workplace still is not provided with the same benefits, treatment, and tools that typical workers have. Because freelance work will only continue to become more popular as time goes on, it can and will become more normalized, and there are products, tools, benefits, and solutions being made for these types of workers. This campaign will empower them despite these difficulties so that they can strive and succeed in their careers.

The print component of “Empowering Freelance Workers” is distributed within today’s edition of USAToday in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington D.C./Baltimore, Houston, Atlanta, and Philadelphia markets, with a circulation of approximately 250,000 copies and an estimated readership of 750,000. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. The Freelancers Union’s director, Caitlin Pearce, graces the cover of the print publication. Inside, she provides insight into some of the hardships faced by this workforce and provides exclusive statistics on the industry. Additionally, famous graphic designer and creator of the FedEx logo, Lindon Leader, shares his advice and experiences on creative freelancing. This is to inspire as well as assist new or current freelancers in this industry that many just be starting out. And to assist all freelancers, #1 Life & Business Strategist, #1 New York Times Best-Selling Author, Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Tony Robbins offers incredible advice and coaching for anyone in industry or looking to join-in. He not only provides financial advice, but also tips and tricks on the attitude one should embody, being your own boss, self-motivation, and more.

This campaign was made possible with the support of the Freelancers Union, the American Society of Journalists and Authors, the National Association for Female Executives, the American Writers and Artists Incorporated, the Small Business Association, GEICO, Ubiquity Retirement + Savings, Trusted Choice Inc., The Mom Project, Tony Robbins, and Lindon Leader.
