Identical twins do not have identical finger prints

The Earth is the closest planet to the sun to be orbited by a moon

Theodore Roosevelt was the youngest person ever to be president of the United States.

If the earth were the size of an apple, it would feel as smooth as a billiard ball.

One horsepower is equal to about 746 watts.

Presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were both impeached by the House and acquitted by the senate.

Catgut is made from sheep, Hog, or Horse intestines, not from cats.

Identical twins do not have identical finger prints.

Tigers have striped skin as well as striped fur.

CAN TWO PEOPLE HAVE IDENTICAL FINGERPRINTS?

If you press your thumb on an inkpad and then on a sheet of white paper, you will have a print which no one else in the whole world can make!
The same would be true of each of your fingers. Your ten fingerprints are absolutely unique, and they
remain practically unchanged from birth to death!
Nature has simply created a different pattern for the ridges of the skin on every single human finger. This
fact was probably first discovered by the Chinese more than 2,000 years ago. At that time, Chinese
emperors were signing important documents with their thumb prints.
In 1892, an english scientist named Sir Francis Galton was the first to prove that no two fingerprints were
alike. And in 1901, Scotland Yard adopted a system for identifying criminals by their fingerprints thats was
developed by Sir Edward Henry. This system, with a few changes, is used by police departments all over
 the world today.
Here is how Sir Henry worked out his system. All fingerprints were divided into "types" of patterns: loops, central pocket loops, double loops, arches, tended arches, whorls, and accidentals. By counting the ridges betweentwo points in the pattern, each of the ten fingers could be classified into a certain group.
Then you take all the groups together as a unit, and you have a complete system of classifying
fingerprints.
It works so well that fingerprints can be filed away by these groups, instead of the name or description of
the criminal. And even though millions of prints may be on file in an office, the right one can be picked out
in just a few minutes! ;)

Reason:

Identical twins happen when a single fertilized egg splits into two embryos. Each of the embryos has identical DNA, so surely the new-born babies should greet the world with identical fingerprints?

Fingerprints are laid down between the 13th and the 19th week of growth in the womb. There are at least two factors that can give different fingerprints.

First, the DNA doesn't make a perfect copy of itself every time it divides - it picks up mutations. To get from one single cell to the 10-100 trillion cells of a grown adult human, the DNA has to divide many many times. This gives ample opportunity for many mutations to accumulate.

Second, the mathematicians tell us that if the foetus had flattened finger pads, the baby is more likely to have the simpler arch pattern, or the slightly more complicated loop pattern. But on the other hand, if the foetus had swollen finger pads, baby is more likely to have the more complex whorl pattern of ridges. The two identical twins might grow in the same uterus, but they have different lengths and diameters of umbilical cord, so they will each get a different blood flow. The twin with the lesser blood flow will cut down the blood flow to the lower body, to preserve it for the brain. By an accident of anatomy, this gives more blood flowing into the arms. The baby ends up with proportionately bigger fingers, and more whorls in their fingerprints.

Developmental patterns will vary from person to person. Determination and 'shaping' of an organism is not only genetically-based, but also determined by the environment. Environmental cues causes genetic degeneracy and or even genetic evolution. Hence, environmental factors will affect development as in the development of the basal layers, the epidermal layers of the hand. Ultimately the development and shape of fingerprints.

Everyone, therefore, is uniquely created and manifested.
