Where do you go to book flights?
« on: May 17, 2010, 09:47:03 AM »
Hi all,
do you have any good advice about where to book regional flights?  I sometimes have to fly to neighboring countries, eg Malaysia, Cambodia.  So far I have used the PAL and Cebu Pacific websites, but perhaps you know of better and cheaper options.
thanks
Ben

Thanks Mike.  How is it in Thailand right now?  A few years ago I had to delay my return for a few weeks because the red / yellow shirts (I forget which) were occupying the airport.

Ben, it was the yellow shirts who occupied the airport. Thailand was in a total mess lately. The red shirt protesters burned down malls, banks, and other buildings. At least the government had succeeded in cleaning up the streets of protesters. My vacation there last April was ruined by those violent protests.

P.S. Ben, Bangkok Air is another budget airline in Thailand that flies to many parts of Southeast Asia.

What a shame for that country - just think a few years ago they were the envy of their neighbours.

By the way I did a little searching for flights recently and found some good offers via Vietnam Airlines.   Kudos to PAL though, their 2D flight time / day / price selection web page is a great idea.
