Last time ning adto ahong Ante Beth ug Uncle Steve sa Pinas, ning adto man to si ahong Uncles, Engr. Roy Lucino, and Engr. Roger Lucino back to Pintuyan to attend a family wedding. They videotaped everything, jud, from taking a banka to pintuyan and to the arrival of the island.
I remember watching the video in my Ante Beth's house because i could see the palms of pinuyan, the lush waters, and the beaches of Pintuyan. Immediately in my mind I could imagine my papa titing who left pintuyan by himself on a banka when he was only 8 years old to seek better/greener pastures in cebu. I cried in my heart when i saw the videos because i never saw my relatives before in pintuyan face to face. Seeing the videos i could see my distant cousins, my titos, titas, goodness there is a town in pintuyan where there are alot of Lucinos. In fact my titos sat as a mayor in some towns in pintuyan before. i never knew it until my ante beth and my dad told me some years ago.
Very very luuy ang way of life didto sa pintuyan, from what my dad and ante beth tell me, but somehow i find it beautiful how they can be content in living their lives there. A sense of simple contentedness.
Gusto jud ko mo balik sa Pintuyan in the future. I want to visit that island jud. That is where my Papa Titing came from. I want to visit the grave of my Lolo Bernardo (Andot).
