a plane trip from chicago, illinois to newark, new jersey will cost me $300 (roughly around 13,200 pesos). :P

diay example, per my latest roundtrip (manila-cebu-manila).  kun promo ang basihan, the total would have been only 2,377 pesos.  (one-way ra ang promo fare kay wa ko kaabot sa promo fare sa pabalik sa manila.)  thus:

BASE FARE:                           PhP 2,377.

TRAVEL FEES AND TAXES:
other taxes                                       79.20
PH-VAT                                           383.04
aviation security fee                           15.
fuel surcharge                                  800.

OTHER FEES:
web admin fee                                  160.
travel insurance                                250.*
seat reservation                                200.*
prepaid baggage (15kg)                     300.*

TOTAL                                           4,564.24

*optional

another thing, mas mahal ang plete ug pet/live animal sa cebu pacific compared to pal.  and it's more inconvenient.  at cebu pacific, one has to go to another place (the old domestic airport in manila and the compound for cargo companies in cebu, both quite a distance from the airports) to claim one's pet.  with pal, one only has to wait at the cargo conveyor.
