Come December, international flights using Airbus 320 directly from Puson, Inchon and Seoul all of South Korea will commence at the Tagbilaran City Airport until such time the Panglao International Airport Development Project shall be completed and operational.
In preparation to this, the request for a temporary assignment of Customs personnel were discussed by Gov. Erico Aumentado and Congressman Edgar M. Chatto with Bureau of Customs Commissioner Napoleon Morales during their Panglao Island Tourism Estate Inter-Agency Task Force Meeting at the Bohol Beach Club on August 17, 2007 and official communication thereto was made and received on August 22 and 30 respectively.
In a reply letter dated September 4, Morales granted the request and further informed Aumentado and Chatto to advice the South Korean Travel Operators and the Airline Companies that they will charter to apply for Special Landing Permit from the Bureau in accordance with the law.
