Hawaiian Airlines has announced it will begin a nonstop service to the Philippines in March.
Hawaii’s largest airline said it will operate four weekly flights between Honolulu and Manila using its existing 767-300ER aircraft.
The new route, which requires approval from U.S. and Philippines authorities, will double the current capacity serving Hawai’i to Manila market.
About 170,000 passengers traveled between Manila and Hawai’i last year.
Hawaiian’s current international routes include Sydney, Australia, Pago Pago, American Samoa and Papeete, Tahiti.
