Bluewater group opening new beach resort in Bohol

Alenter Hotels Corp., operator of Bluewater group of resorts and hotels owned by the Alegrados of Cebu, will open a P500-million leisure beach resort in Bohol next year.

Benjie Reyes, the designer of Panglao Bluewater Beach Resort, said in the groundbreaking ceremony held Tuesday the entire project consisted ofthree phases that will develop the 5.5-hectare property.The resort hopes to attract elite local tourists and foreign travelers.

The first phase of the project, expected be completed next year, will require P250 million in inverstments. It will include 46 deluxe rooms, four family rooms, 10 honeymoon villas, a spa center, a restaurant and an oasis pool.

The second and third phases will have a total budget of P250 million and include 90 deluxe rooms, a bar and restaurant and another oasis pool.

Reyes said the resort would have more water features to complement its narrow beachfront.

He said the management of Panglao Bluewater would hire at least 100 local workers to complete the construction of the leisure resort.

“It will be a long journey for me to design and work on a resort like this,” Reyes said, adding that the property would showcase works of art made by Boholanos.

“Panglao Bluewater Beach Resort is more of a luxurious resort among our three beach resorts,” Bluewater president Julie Alegrado-Vergara told reporters.

Upside, more jobs so more money coming in.

downside...well, nganong mangandoy man ta ug artificial, superlandscaped nga resort nga daghan man mas nindot ana nga dili nila makit-an.

Maybe I'm just weird but when Panglao Island Nature Resort first opened, I was really curious and I visited with my highschool barkada. Ofcourse, libre, anak man sa VP sa OG Holdings akong barkada. Then in 2006, akong gidala akong bana didto, kaon sad mi. ok bya pero dali ra ka ma bored...ang akong bana ray nalingaw.

Sa linya sa Panglao Island Nature, kadtong karaan nga Jules Resort and naa pud beach nga walay tag-iya, walay bungay. Adto mi sa akong Papa ug Mama maligo sauna. ang sagbot,magsugod sa taga hawak bisan ug taob kay wala may bungay....pero sus, kung naa lang kay antipara, malingaw jud ka ug tinan-aw sa mga isda nga pagkadaghan.

Yes, pareha rang dagata, but the people who go to our resorts are paying to be treated like royalty and for their privacy. Syempre...kitang mga ordinaryong taw, we have privacy on demand, sila tawn, wala so they pay exorbitant prices to R and R. We are blessed in a way nga pwede rata magladlad didto sa Kainggit walay magsinamok nato.

Kung sa service pud, let us remember nga kita sa pilipinas, we don't need to be filthy rich para naa tay maid mo tabang2 nato ug mosilbe nato....sila raba kasagaran diri sa gawas, jamu intawn. Mao na nga kanang naay mo-asikaso nila nga hand and foot jud, malipay gyud na sila. Its not too special natong mga tubong pilipinas kay naanad naman ta.

Bao lang pud, this is my 2 cents. I haven't been to all the top resorts but I've been to a lot, between field trips to Plantation bay or backride sa barkada, or laag with the husband. Wala pa jud ko nakita ug resort nga nalingaw ko pag-ayo like sa loboc river cruise or mag-aso falls kauban sa mga barkada ug mga ig-agaw.

diri, nitawag ko ug maid service kay mo ari akong in-laws unya patabang unta ko palimpyo sa akong 3 bathrooms. bathroom ra gud pud kay kuwang2 man lagi tawn ko ug alamag sa panglimpyo. Ahak, ang gi quote kay $80...3 bathroom ra !!!

Pahuway jud ! gi kamagan nalang nako ug limpyo oi. Maayo nalang nang $80 padala nako sa bohol, makapalit na ug usa ka sakong bugas, pakapin pa de lata! hahaha !

maka imagine nalang ta ug pilay bayad anang mga live in maid diri nga preha sa ato.
