Local TV show explores destinations with potential, eco-adventure spotsRCTV channel 36 at SkyCable introduces another program to its growing list catering to the adventure travel and eco-tourism market.
Produced by Media One Creative, Inc. and Lyndon Angan, Make My Trip brings televiewers never-been-shown footage of popular destinations. It also showcases “the other side†of what is up and coming, travel packages and what has yet-to-be-explored in a destination.
The pilot episode, which aired on Jan. 11, featured Bohol minus the Chocolate Hills of Carmen and tarsiers of Loboc. Focus was on the eco-adventure side of the municipality of Danao.
Cebu’s Sinulog visitors, as well as local residents, can maximize their visit when they start exploring Bohol, both its countryside and adventure aspect.
With less personality presence and more destination focus, Make My Trip aims to present the not-so-known aspects of certain destinations. By working hand in hand with LGUs, it hopes to benefit lesser promoted places, that also satisfy the show’s security and accessibility considerations for visitors.
Traveler and marketer Angan says it’s more than just a tour, it’s a cause. “Right now, we are leaving the country in droves because we think there is no future here, but the Philippines, not just Cebu and Bohol, has so much hope and promise. It is a psychological thing that we think that we are a basket case. We have to get over that.
It’s a blessing to have RCTV bigwigs like Mike Solon and Johann Young that believe in it. I try to change people’s opinions one person at a time."
Make My Trip is shown daily on RCTV channel 36. Episodes are updated every two weeks.
