The reason why there were a lot of cancelled flights, and unrefunded customers of cebu pacific..

This morning I went to a travel agency cause i inquired about flight schedules. Curiousity got the best of me so I asked the representative why Cebu Pacific is in a bad situatin nowadays, to think our family is a regular passenger since the airlines first flight and we were always catered with our needs (except for some delays). I was like "unsa ni? favoritisM?"

Her explanation is that ... Late last year or i think it was earlier this year, cebu pacific had to change their system so they had to upgrade their computer system that means all. On-line reservations, cancellations, purchases etc.  They were able to warn all travel agencies to print tickets cause by wednesday of that week, their system will shut down.  So travel agencies they still booked reservations for monday and tuesday. Alas. The system closed as early as monday without warning. so that's why there were alot of passengers that were not able to have a transaction with the airline. Only the passenger with printed tickets were able to ride the plane.

So here comes and rescheduling and refunds. Guess what? All records were erased.

I pity the representatives. Imagine the line of IRATE customers in person. One even went to SM cebupacific office as early as 11 and her ticket number for office transaction was already 500.. wew~ Even the travel agency representatives also had their share of irate customers. So sila napud na irate, and when they call the C.P. office, the reps were like "please ayaw na ninyu dugangi ang kasaba.. dia pa dre taas kaayo linya ug mga irate"..

Well at least. That is what she told me..

Ngek!  If I am to believe the rep's explanation, Bem, their IT were incompetent!  How could they have not forseen this?  Before they have a new running system, dapat tested na.  Naa pa nay mga temp re-runs ana sa system before ilang i upload ang new system.  And did they say na erase ang records?  that's really so bad!  What happend to their back-ups?

Diri sa Merika dili man refundable ang tickets! unless you will buy a business class nga refundable...

I have so many tickets unrefunded as well si Mike kay kani usahay among ka tralala mag-usab-usab ang utok...

when i was still dating him, murag 5 tingali ka ticket wa naho masakyi...no refunds made and no regrets...
