Hi Guys,

i would like to ask if where in Cebu can we buy a Brand New Computer na barato lang... because i will make a Internet Cafe in Leyte... so is there any one can till me if where can i buy? fill free to reply here... thanks

ad2 sa High Way, Mandaue...Fast Win ang name sa Store...Sakay lang og 21B or any PUJ basta para mandaue...Naa sa recent post nga ingon sa Five Jays daw http://tubagbohol.mikeligalig.com/index.php?topic=5641.0 ..Hinoon dool ra pier 3..pero laau ra ang five jays itandi sa Fast Win....mga clasmmate nko sa cebu og internet store owners ad2 mao ilang palitanan...daghan og stocks og barato ra jud kaau veronica....me nakapalit ko og hardisk pag 2004 pa, until now wala pa jud naguba.....

please take note that fastwin and 5J's puro ni sila namaligya ug mostly mga second hand items. some of the second hand products nila are modified to fit sa needs sa local market (e.g. power supply ug uban pa).

kung imong tan-awon DELL ang casing, pero try to check ang motherboard ug uban parts.

possible nga powered by HP... heheh or worst... tomato nga motherboard.

I can't help not to comment when you said G@len about the "tomato motherboard". Most probably hinog na na tomato ba? I was thinking of "lemon motherboard" but since nagamit pa man diay for how many years so "tomato motherboard" may be more appropriate. Bitaw, careful lang mo.

I think Nica wants to buy new computers so the question is where can she buy cheaper brand new computers for her internet cafe?

why not check the local shops in ormoc then make some arrangement for a maintenance contract as part of the purchased set of PC para at least safe ka sa mga maintenance nga issue then minus the shipment cost pa. hinoon, depende pud na sa imong setup ug imong plano sa cafe.

Veronica, I think G@len is right that you check your local stores. When I bought the computer for my family in Manga, I asked my friend who is running an internet cafe in Cagayan de Oro and also selling computers. He advised me to check local stores in Tagbilaran para di na mag wawing2x pa ug naay defect sa units plus of course the shipping cost.

its true majority sa ila gibaligya is mga 2nd hand and FYI wala na ang 5 Jays, ang new name is HMR and they transferred near Cathedral in Cebu, HMR AFAIK is also the supplier sa SOS kanang

Fastwin is not recommend for 2nd hand PC.

Reasons:

1. Branded pero ang sulod pulos clone
2. Pulos recondition ang mga spare parts sulod sa PC apil na ang Power supply
3. Technician diha, ambot lang! grabe kaayo mangilad.

Proof from my friend: Naay tiguwang nagdala sa iyang System Unit (CPU)
Tiguwang: Dong akong ipaayo ni kay dili nako ka open sa Windows 98. Naay mo gawas "DISK BOOT FAILURE"
Technician: Sige sir, ibilin lang ni kay amo pa ni e-format

* Akong amigo nakakita nga naay nakasalpak diskette sa FDD drive. Siguro bootable disk ang sulod sa diskette,

Tiguwang: Pila bayad charge pag format dong?
Technician: 1500 sir.

* Nakita sa akong amigo nga igo ra gi tangtang ang diskette ug nisulod na sa Windows 98. Tiguwang sad tawn walay alamag, bayad tawn sa walay kusmod pero ang problema ra diay ang diskette ra nga nasalpak mao dili ka sulod sa windows.

Gi-gabaan bitaw na sila kay gi RAID sa taga NBI kay namaligya ug pirated CD/DVD installers. Paksit!

4. 1 week warranty nya pulos 2nd hand baya ang gipangtaud, what if taga Bohol makapalit sa item, nya dili maka bisita dayon ug Cebu kay naay trabaho? TY imong kwarta kay lapas na sa 1 week warranty?

5. By piece, pwerting mahala! compare ilang baligya sa mga computer store like PCX/Gaisano Interface/PCQuickbuys for more info.

My Experience:

Nagpalit ko ug video card PCI 64MB php2500, pagtaud nako wala jud ni gana, akong gibalik sa ilang tindahan, wala ma ilisi kay last stock daw to nila, nya dili sad ko nila refund-nan. So akong gi buhat, Hard disk nalang akong gipuli, pag scandisk 24 kabuok bad sectors. Nagamit nako ang HD pero pang back up nalang kay mo hang-up man kong akong himoon nga Master. Nawad-an jud ko ug pagsalig sa Fastwin!

At the back of Bo's Capitol branch.. There's a building there.. hmm the store named Qube.. You get to buy comptuer parts, you can choose the specs.. customized. it's really cheap yet durable.
