Security Problem with Friendster
« on: December 04, 2008, 11:34:03 PM »
Dear Friendster Members,

I notice that Friendster is sending thousands of garbage messages to thousands or perhaps millions of accounts. This occurs when an account has been hijacked by a script/malware. People would think it was you who sent those ***b*sh*t messages but of course it wasn't you - and you don't know that your account has been compromised. Examples of these meaningless messages have titles like "Hahaha" or "Is that you" or "I saw you in this video" - all embedded with evil links.

Friendster has to do something to stop this security hole ravaging its site.

It is enormously embarrassing when people are believing that you were the one sending those ***b*sh*t messages to them, but the truth of the matter is that you're completely unaware of such friendster disaster all this time.

I hate it and the endless application invites.

We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing.
