FBI Warns On E-Mail Scam From The Philippines
« on: December 18, 2007, 02:01:20 PM »
No, you are not a recipient of a large sum of money from the Philippines — no matter what a recent e-mail scam may promise.

The FBI is warning people not to respond to an e-mail from Amando M. Tetangco, a supposed banker from the Philippines. The e-mail asks for personal information, such as addresses and phone numbers.

People are then asked to send bank account information to receive the money.

The FBI cautions people to guard their personal information and not to reply to unsolicited e-mails.
