Here in Thailand there is an increasing number of Boholanos seeking greener pasture. I should acknowledge Mr. Gilbert Montera, who invited me to come to Thailand. Gilbert and his wife (Lilibeth) and and his son (Geebee) are now based in Vietnam.

I am working in the smallest province in Thailand and guess... We are three Boholanos in our province. I do hope that Boholanos in Thailand will find time to see each other for a get together party.

Mike, I was the stranger who was exchanging messages with you at friendster. I do hope that we will meet here soon...

I was in Thailand for a weeklong vacation and I was so fascinated with the beauty and its culture.  Well, it wasn't convenient for me to go around town asking for people if they speak English but I admired that they kept their own language, no matter how many tourists come and go to their country.  It's nice when there's a place in Thailand where, any day of the week, they can showcase their culture.  However, has things changed now?  I was there more than 5 years ago anyway!

My husband and I love Thailand. If it's not because of a long fly, we would have love to keep going back.
During our stay in Bangkok it was the 80th Reign Anniversary of the King, so in his honor we bought yellow shirts with his logo. Thais appreciate when they saw us wearing it.
We also like Chiang Mai. Of course we didn't miss the elephant ride. Such an adventure, on the elephant's back, we're sitting on a bench and we went up the hill, went down, into the stream and back up again. And some part of the trail was muddy, so when the elephant took a step, we swayed up there, whew! pretty scary. After the ride, we caught up with our funny, well spoken tour guide Nui fallen asleep sitting on a chair with his head up, mouth wide open that look like he's waiting for something to fall into his mouth, only, his eyes were closed, hilarious! Overall, we had a great time.

Last December 30, some Boholanos in Thailand had a chance to meet each other for a sumptous party prepared by Net and Bert. I commend them for their innitiative. As revealed in the guest sheet, about 35 Boholanos were there. That was a great party! Boholanos in Thailand, COME ONE COME ALL.....

We were in Thailand for 2 weeks vacation last Feburary 2006. Yes, the weather was nice, the hotel in Bangkok very clean, food was okey, met 5 Pinoys perfect entertainers/singers in that Hotel,  an interesting drive to Koh Samed island where we stayed for a week and  8 of us from 11 persons  from our vacation group were really very sick, was shocked from that countless numbers of young prostitutes in Pattaya but it was a part of our tour to watch it. Men  tourists were anyway amused. Nice country with interesting culture but it was the first and the last to be there. I love that  "Feet  and whole Oil body Thai massage"....missed it.

The people of Thailand (Thailanders) are nice too.  During my visits in Bangkok ( on two occasions ) I had the opportunity to meet a Thailander during my stroll along the main avenue and got befriended whose sister worked with Thai Airways.  Can't imagine them treating me the whole evening for bar hopping ....  and I love their food.

Even here in Saudi (AlKhobar in particular ), Thai restaurants have sprouted. We have Nakonsawan, Bangkok, Thai House, Chaing Mai, Phuket... puro sarap ang luto.  Lalo na sa Bangkok along the sidewalks....
