Just last week I received a message from a Bol-anon who has been browsing Tubag Bohol for quite some time.

She said that she did not register and join our discussion because it seems that everyone knows everybody and all appear to be close friends with each other.

I told her that my friends in Tubag Bohol were completely strangers to me before. I said that I haven't seen and touched most of them. The same with others: they have not met and seen each other personally.

Admittedly, she feels like an outsider. I told her that she should not feel that way because we welcome anyone that comes to Tubag Bohol and we don't discriminate anyone and that we just want to build stronger friendship and camaraderie among each other while we live away from our homeland Bohol.

This brings me to the question: why are we friends?

My answer to that is: he/she who sows friendships will reap friendship.

Let me cite one of the many models of a friendly Bol-anon. His display name is Lorenzo. When he first came here, he was totally a stranger to us. I remember that on his early days in Tubag Bohol he just kept on replying to comments though he has not been part of the thread and he relentlessly shared his thoughts on many topics. Now, he's a friend to all in Tubag Bohol. Why? Because he opened his world to us and we came in.

Whether you're online or offline, the principle is the same: ang magpugas ug panaghigala mag-ani ug panaghigala.

I remember, pag bag-o pako diri sa TB, as in naghimo ko akong kaugaligon Thread, kay nag practice practice ko unsaon pag himo, then, somebody post a comment sa akong thread... and onething sauna, dili pa sad ko ka sakay sa ilang mga gipang hisgutan, until makasabot naka later on...
so, mao to naka pa agni nako why I invited some of my friends to join sa TB, kay nakita man nako nah, malingaw jud ta diri, plus maka gain ta ug new ideas & friendship.... so, diha say mi sanong...
This December, as in... grabeh nakong kalipay when Santa PM to me and telling me nga magpadala sya ug gift for tb tshirt thru me... and when I got the bucks.. as in nalipay kaayo ko... kay na prove nako nga, gisaligan diay jud sad ko niya, eventhough dili jud me kaila ni Santa... and dili sad ko ka interact nya jud sa TB... Sangku sa langit akong kalipay sa tinooray pagkadawat nako sa money... and I shared this to my classmates.. laliman kag gi saligan ko sa kantidad nga 9000+ pesos? and dili pajud mi kaila ni Santa...
Santa salamat jud kaayo sa imong pagsalig kanako...
to All TB members salamat sad kaayo...
these past few days, happy sad ko kay nag confe mi sa YM nila ni Ginger, Ms Da binsi, Graziely & Glen... kay nag ila ko gitabangan sa pag segregate sa tshirts.. happy sad ko nga na belong ko sa ilang crowd... like, outside world na baya ang YM, hehehehe... thank you guys...

and.. sa pag labay sa mga adlaw nga nag post ko nga nag padala si Santa ug money for tshirt, mag pusot-pusot sad ug PM ang uban nako, nga basin makapadala sila for help... noh>? naa juy magic bah..?

Now, let me share with you about C2H4.

She was a perfect stranger to me. That was before she joined Tubag Bohol.

I don't remember myself reaching out to her (now I feel guilty; I should be the one who should have reached out to her), but I often read her comments (and i would think: "Hmmm, she writes well). Then there were afternoons (Thailand time and midnight for her) that she would send me PM (personal message), saying (I don't know if it was a grumble or whining): "Mingaw kaayo ang payag, Mr. Admin." And I would reply her with these words: "Please, don't call me Admin. Just Mike." I didn't know her and I kept asking myself: "Kinsa man kaha ni siya ha?" But one day I sent her a PM: "Tell me, what is your real name, C2H4." And the rest is history.

She was doing that all the time: sending PMs informing me (though I already knew) nga mingaw lagi ang Tubag Bohol. And I would say to her: "Bibo man, lahi man gud atong time zone." Usually, the European girls (led by Ginger and Asianfairy) would be feasting on Tubag Bohol at dawn time (work time for C2H4).

Looking back, I could say that ang magpugas ug friendship mag-ani ug friendship.

Si Ethyl ang nagpugas adto kay siya man ang tig-PM nako at first. It was Ethyl who planted a hybrid seed of friendship but we both are reaping the joys of friendship. I believe siya gyud ang nagpugas ug ako ang tigbisbis. How did I do that? Ako siyang gisungog sauna nga akong pangitaon every information about her. In our first chat at YM, I told her: "You live in --------, -------- . And your relatives are -----------." She replied: "Mike, you scare me to death. How did you know that? This is really scary." Until now I haven't told her how I happen to know something personal about her.

Today, we keep on exchanging many personal stories - bisan unsa lang. No need to scare her. Apil na ana ang mga secrets.

When I go to heaven, I will ask God nga magsilingan mi ug balay ni C2H4.

Els, I'm guilty! I know I was hard on you when your were a newbie here. I still remember, it was me and belle who complained a lot about your postings. I must admit, you ruined one of my days. But that was past and you open yourself to us. Most of all, you didn't hold any grudges.

I am a kind of person man nga murag bata, diba kon bata kasab-an sa mama, later on ana, friend lang gihapon siya sa iya mama, kay gi limtan raman...? as long as nangayo ko ug apology sa kong gibuhat sa una, mawala rajud nah... ako raman sad ang mag suffer kon dibdibon sya.. kay magsakit man atong dughan ana sad woi... kabantay ka... nag "soweee" ko?

I find that picture without malice man gud... that was sent by my bro sa London.. kalog man ni ako bro.. he always send me jokes sad... so kay na katawa man ko, mao to sya akong gi post... not knowing, it would hurt somebody else... Self centered ra sad ko adto.. "sowee guys... if I hurt you that way, and I ruined your day... sowee jud.."

well, things has past...

and yes! I am happy we have this bond this time... I am happy to call you "MY FRIENDS.."

and.. sa pag labay sa mga adlaw nga nag post ko nga nag padala si Santa ug money for tshirt, mag pusot-pusot sad ug PM ang uban nako, nga basin makapadala sila for help... noh>? naa juy magic bah..?

I met her sa pikas, nya ni-migrate mi sa Cebu, nya napadpad mis laing pikas na fud... nya nia na fud mi dere nag-wara wara... bitaw... C2 is a very down to earth person, she's a very good listener (ang-ang nga di man sya ka-tingug kay ako na man lang ang nag-sige ug estorya... toinkz! hehehe)
