Latest round of monitoring on fish prices showed increase in the mark-up from the landing sites to the wet markets.
From the previous P20 per kilo, it now ranges from P30 to P60 per kilo.
Wholesale of anduhaw, for example, was only at P120 at the landing site of Getafe and P100 in Talibon. In Tubigon landing site, it's P100 per kilo in the early morning but already reached P130 per kilo by noontime.
In the afternoon, landing sites in Garcia-Hernandez and Ubay port sold it at P120.
It's wet market prices already reached P160 per kilo in Alburquerque, P150 in Garcia- Hernandez, Ubay and Pasil in Cebu.
The small anduhaw was sold at P100 per kilo in Ubay.
Bariles or panit was sold at P120 per kilo at landing sites in Ubay port.
It already reached P200 per kilo in the wet market of Tubigon, and P160 in Ubay.
Anchovies or bolinao was monitored to have been sold at P90 per kilo for wholesale at the landing site of Garcia-Hernandez, P160 per kilo in Talibon and P40 in Ubay.
However, it's retail prices in already reached P100 in all wet market of Candijay, P110 per kilo in Garcia-Hernandez, P70 in Talibon and, P60 in Ubay.
In the week's closing, the fish prices monitoring team recorded a price of mangsi sold in Ubay at triple the price in Dumaguete.
On Thursday, it reached P90 per kilo in Ubay, while it was only at P30 per kilo in Dumaguete.
Bangsi was sold at P65 per kilo in Dumaguete City that day, while it was just P40 per kilo in Cebu. But it reached P120 per kilo in Candijay, and Garcia-Hernandez and P100 per kilo in Tubigon.
Tamarong was sold at P80 in Carbon market, P150 per kilo in Pasil, P160 in all the wet markets of Tagbilaran City and Albur, P120 in Dumaguete City, P130 in Garcia-Hernandez and P140 in Talibon.
Bariles or panit that day was sold at P110 per kilo in Pasil and P100 per kilo in Carbon, but reached P200 per kilo in Tubigon and Dumaguete City, while it was only P160 per kilo in Ubay.
Katambak then was sold at P140 per kilo in Candijay, but it reached P200 per kilo in the wet markets of Manga, Cogon and Dao in Tagbilaran City.
