Published by the Sunday PostA brother was brought to the hospital after he was hacked by his own brother while a father was hacked by his own son as violence reared its ugly head in two separate incidents of family feuds.
In Danao town, a man identified as Diosdado Auxilio, 50, sustained hack wounds courtesy of his younger brother identified as Remigio, 49.
Diosdado sustained injuries on his head and other parts of his body after he was assaulted by Remigio who was armed with a bolo.
The incident took place about 3 pm last June 1 when the suspect went on the attack while the victim was walking home in Sitio Sta. Ana, Barangay Concepcion, Danao.
Police investigators said the suspect immediately fled the scene of the attack while the victim was brought to the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital in Tagbilaran City.
It was gathered that the sibling violence was a consequence of misunderstanding over a land dispute.
Meanwhile, two elderly men were brought to the hospital when they figured in hacking incident in Alicia town.
It was gathered that the incident took place about 8 am last June 5 in Sitio Calingganay, Barangay Poblacion, Alicia.
The son, identified as Teodolo Salo, 69, single and a farmer residing in the said place, was assaulted by his own father, Andres, 95, married and a resident of the same barangay.
Teodoro was reportedly in his rice field for the harvest when his father arrived suddenly armed with a bolo.
According to reports, Andres attacked his son with the bladed weapon for no apparent reason.
Teodoro however managed to wrest the bolo and hacked his father three times, hitting him in different parts of the body.
Andres was brought to the Candijay Medicare Hospital but was bused to Tagbilaran for further treatment.
Teodoro meanwhile sought treatment at the emergency hospital in Jagna after the incident.
Investigators are still trying to determine what triggered the violent incident between father and son.
