Certified true copies of the Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALNs) of Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Renato Corona were presented on Wednesday to the Senate Impeachment Court by Malacanang Records Office Head Director Marianito Dimaandal, the prosecution's second witness.
Dimaandal confirmed the existence of the SALNs of Corona from 1992 up to 2010.
As custodial of the documents, Dimaandal said, the certified true copies of Corona's SALNs are the faithful reproduction of the file copies in the office.
When cross-examined by defense lead counsel retired SC Associate Justice Serafin Cuevas, Dimaandal told the Court that as to the accuracy and correctness of the entries in Corona's SALNs, he is not in a position to certify it.
He said that he came to the Court to produce the SALNs of Chief Justice Corona.
Dimaandal said that he has the duplicate-original copy of Corona's SALNs duly signed by him.
Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, the Presiding Officer of the Impeachment Court, ordered the remaining witnesses of the prosecution to be present at 10 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) for the markings of the pieces of evidence. - PNA
