Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila De Lima on Monday said that she sees no problem with the investigations to be conducted by other government agencies in connection with the expose' of former military budget officer retired Lt. Col. George Rabusa.
De Lima said that the investigations have different objectives such that the Senate is in-aid of legislation, fact-finding is the target of the Department of National Defense (DND) for their ongoing internal operations while the DOJ is for the prosecution and to hold liable the responsible generals.
However, De Lima clarified that she would only create a panel which will receive the affidavit of Rabusa.
Earlier, Rabusa divulged before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, chaired by Senator Teofisto Guingona III, about the alleged P50-million "pabaon" (send off gift/token) to retiring Chief-of-Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Rabusa particularly pointed to former AFP Chief-of-Staff retired Gen. Angelo Reyes as a beneficiary of the P50-million token. (PNA)
