There was even one time in the 70's or 80's that they are licensed to operate in Tagbilaran. I even remembered when I was in high school that one complained to inyong alagad why her license is not renewed.

My young mind then was baffled why police enforced closure to Melrose Theater for showing adult movies, while they are giving license to the real one.

The length of its existence and the reasons some try to justify it will never make prostitution an acceptable thing because it is about selling something that is not supposedly for sale.sex is supposedly holy and the human body is supposedly the temple of God. It just takes political will to rid of it. one LGU just got to check the bar fine record book of each KTV bar. if you really care for the future generation.

the bottomline is dignity.if we value dignity then having sex anytime, anywhere, and with anybody for any reason will be avoided and we solve the problem on population-health-environment, reproductive health.moreover if we value dignity, we, in a way value the sanctity of human body and we unknowingly monitor sex. we have to consider that each commercial sex worker is a positive contributor of abortion cases, transmission of sexually transmitted infection and wrecked home.Most important, Each commercial sex worker is equivalent to one case of human life wasted. So if we talk about population, the problem is not the numbers. it is the quality of life in every number.

if we don't make commercial sex available, then we are gradually teaching each child not to long for it.Sex is just for people who have relationships. and relationships are only for people who are genuinely in love- -no discrimination of genders.Sex is supposedly sacred.

but we are just human.so each day is a chance to change for the better.and death is also available each day to deprive us of this chance.until death comes, we are lucky to have this chance.but we are sadists to make this chance wait, clinging on a cliff.

yup.why can't we try to start, in our little ways, to straighten up what have grown kinky rather than watch...

Recently, prostitution is legalized here in Europe for medicare, pension, etc. and some other future benefits. This is mostly in a well known establishments but the numbers of unregistered prostitutes remain a problem.  Global prostitutions is  unstopped  virus but sorry to say, that children are the most victims of this.

I know that there are people in this world that use that form of service to provide food and clothing for their family--desperation can lead men and women do do many things. And its great that Franklin mentioned that part in scripture---do not judge lest you be judged---and it is the Lord Our God who will judge us all in the end of times. I say--lend a helping hand to those who need your help. Random acts of kindness--thats what I say.

Frank, it is sick how people use religion as a premise to commit violence---specially seen in these recent bombings in the southern philippines and in the middle east.

When will all of this just end...

I think prostitution will happens all over the country even in bohol because this an influence and  a given agenda among countries who had economic crisis...this is the system that some people think that this is one way to escape poverty,,, Although some women are absorbed into prostitution for many reasons and in ways in which the whole notion of real "choice" is put into question.The system is there so the birth of prostitution starts during the history of crisis begins...

Just tax the workers--if they're making money of it--why shouldn't government? Look at whats going in Thailand.

In my opinion and based on our lessons in religion 11, Jesus did not protect magdalena to promote prostitutions nor commend prostitutes. His point was for us not to condemn sinners.But we can help lead others away from sins.and God is so patient for to us to reduce our tendencies towards sins.

nganong dapat sumpoon ang prostitutions?because it leads to several problems in society and reproductive health. being traumatized people, they tend to use drugs, then later sell drugs to customers. or they get pregnant, not necessarily from sex with customers, and have abortion because the baby is not welcome.or reduce themselves into psychologically bothered people. since lies is part of their job, they become confused about reality and even become psychopatic or schizophrenic or paranoid.

naa diay ni sa Tagbilaran? abi man nakog wala. well, it's a biblical thing. it exist many years ago, sad to say. kusog pa nakong storya sa akong mga english friends na wala sa Bohol unlike Bangkok.
