OFW Jailed in Saudi Arabia For Bribing Saudi Police
« on: May 31, 2008, 07:51:48 PM »
The Bohol Chronicle

Now seeking government help, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) is jailed allegedly for bribing the police in his desire to drive in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

His case is undergoing investigation by the Jeddah Investigation and Surveillance Office (JISO) while the migrant worker remains detained.

OFW Reynaldo Exclamador wished to get a valid driver's license in Jeddah. He took a driving test given by the Arab authority last April 18 but failed.

Exclamador allegedly tried to "bribe a police officer so he could be issued a driver's license."

The OFW, said to be a good man, is an uncle of DYTR Manager Lito Responte, the CHRONICLE gathered from the office of the solon where it also secured a copy of the consulate letter-report.

Grabe ang ilang allegiance to the King. Walay under-the-table process bisan pa ug briban nimo ug one million dili mo dawat.

I like that Mackz, kay abi nimo diri sa Merika daghan man mga kalaki nga illegal.

I am wondering if your country is more peaceful than our country, Macky!

His body is in other country but his mind left in the Philippines.  As an guest worker,he must have to respect their law and orders. If that is the penalty, he must have to take it and hope he will learn out of that mistake.

As I was reading the first post, what struck me was that the alleged suspect wanted to have a valid driver's license.  Too bad he wanted it thru thru invalid ways.  It also says that he is a good person.  He must be but he realized the hard way that some Pinoy short-cut and corrupt ways are not tolerated in most places in the word.

This is another tragic fate of an OFW hero.
Kung didto pa lang ni siya sa ato ga drive wa jud problema kay gani akong amigo nga usa ray mata, nakakuha man og "professional driver's license" from the LTO.

Dili man ni angay kabalak-an kay minor case man lang ni diri sa Saudi ug ubos ubos ni sa Theft. Siguro may 3 days to 1 week imprissonment lang.

Your parents know you came to Saudi?"

It reminds me of our eldest sister.  She was driving an SUV and one time, I was with my Aunt and cousin Alyssamarie aka smiffy and we were following Manang's vehicle.  Suddenly, Alyssamarie said, "Oh, where's Ate Meye?" hahahaha Di man tawon makita si Manang kay taas pa iyang lingkoranan.  She's hardly 5' tall! ;D
