Could you please tell me what you think of this eulogy?
« on: November 16, 2010, 02:15:49 PM »

Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate the life of my loving son Iago. He lived to the age of forty, but tragically died just last week after a long and tiring battle with cancer. I suspect he may have also died of loneliness from losing his wife Emilia five years ago.

Nothing wrong with that ! A grieving father who likes to celebrate the life of his son once had and shared the sadness he feels of losing him,and act as the voice of what his son feels after losing his wife...After the burial I'm pretty sure all the talk came out. :(

it is a great eulogy, an as-is-where-is statement, the kind that tries to put in perspective the cruel truth of man's mortality, unembroidered in its effort to cover one's sense of loss by putting up the brave front of knowing when and how to let go.

Nothing wrong with it.I think that it's a nicely said. Many couples when losing a loved one feel so bad and they just break down with-out that special person in their life.

It is sort of like when some people have had a routine of working and when they retire it takes a few short years to terminate as the person is out of their routine of having to be more active or feeling of less importance once they have retired....Psychological.......
