The management of Coco-cola Bottlers Philippines Incorporated (CCBPI) this city has issued clarification last Friday on environmental concerns like flooding in its vicinity along CPG north avenue and dumping of waste water in Taloto district.
In a short program turned into an instant press conference during the opening of bowling tournament of the Bohol Tri-media Association (BTMA), plant manger Louie Itol said that it's not the fault of the soft drink company when overflowing of water from drainage occurred during rainy days.
The company said that its "tank" aimed for treated waste water deposit can be filled by runoff water during rainy season.
This scenario is aggravated for the fact that the drainage system along San Jose street that connects the same (drainage system) built by Hanjin company along CPG avenue has not been finished.
It was learned that the stretch from CCBPI to corner Peñaflor Street is low-lying, and water overflows when rain comes.
