Members of the City Task Force working under the city mayor's office were back in the limelight after they harassed a broadcaster at the premises of station dyTR recently.

Christianito "Boyet" Requeron reported that some five members of the task force waited for him outside the radio station last Thursday.

He identified two of the task force members as Gido Lopena and Jong-jong Garcia.
Lopena approached him in a threatening mode but was pacified by Leoncio Ramirez, companion of the radio commentator.

Requeron said these were the same persons who mauled his father, Boy Requeron at the height of the 2007 elections.

The same show of force met Requeron when he was about to board his radio program last Friday.
         
This time, the broadcaster called the city police for assistance to ensure his safety after seeing Ingles and Garcia waiting for him near the radio station. However, the responding cop, SPO2 Rodrigo Balatero, instead of gathering the details of the incident asked Requeron to go to the city PNP station to formally file the report.

Requeron informed the cop that it was already the second time that the task force members wanted to block his way from the station. Because of the indifferent attitude of the cop it would seem they were siding with the task force members during the brief confrontation at the station premises.

The indifference of the cop caused Requeron to call for assistance from Camp Dagohoy which dispatched a team to the station.

Requeron said that during the second incident last Friday when the task force members were waiting for him, an object which looked like a hand grenade was thrown towards him by the task force members.

Meanwhile, the two task force members likewise went to the city PNP to report while they were passing in front of dyTR, they were allegedly harassed by Requeron. They claimed that the motive of the incident was due to misunderstanding and past grudges.
