A combined police and task force operatives in the city aborted an attempt of the hold-up gang of four to bring with their loot on Friday night.Police identified the rob suspects as Vincent Arcales, age unknown; Mechor Peligro, 22; Ken Sabihon, 19 and a teenager (name withheld) after the operatives blocked their way to escape during the chase.
They were onboard L300 van with license plate number GKV 917.
The report said suspects just victimized three persons shortly before they were cornered by the police.
A certain Nesa Panganduyon, 22, reported to the police that she was robbed at about 12:45 Saturday dawn. This prompted the police to respond and chased the said van up to barangay Ubujan, this city.
Panganduyon was robbed of her belongings including a cell phone and unaccounted cash.
Meanwhile, the authorities concerned intensified the campaign against illegal possession of drugs and substances that proliferated in some towns, assured Intelligence Officer 3 Felimon Ruiz.
Separate report bared that a couple are facing charges before the court of law (R. A. 9165) for possession of illegal drugs after operatives raided them in the island of Nasingin, Getafe town. The spouses were identified as Danilo and Diosdada Torrejos of said island.
The province of Cebu was pointed to be the source, if not the transshipment sites of drugs.
