Engr. Nilo Sarigumba was at it again when he brought last week the Probe Team, an investigative TV program of ABS-CBN hosted by Cheche Lazaro.

At the receiving end of Sarigumba's expose' was Engr. Modesto Membreve, project manager of the multi-million Bayongan Dam.

This project in San Miguel town was in the news after proponents asked cost overruns amounting to P1.3 billion. Already consumed by the project was P3.6 billion. The National Economic Development Authority under then secretary Romulo Neri balked at the idea of requesting more funds saying that any approval for additional money was tantamount to making the project the most expensive irrigation facility in the entire country.

The coming of the Probe Team came at a time when Engr. Membreve has his hands full parrying criticisms from all directions arising from the request for more funds of the NIA project.

Compounding Membreve's woes were accusations about a vehicle purchase amounting to P7million.

Asked to confirm the allegations, he said he asked for an appropriation of P15 million in as many vehicles but Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo only P7 million and good for seven units.

Membreve's critics zeroed in on allegations that two of the vehicles-an Isuzo D'Max and Isuzu Crosswind were for use by Gov. Erico Aumentado and Cong. Roberto Cajes, respectively. The rest of the fleet is now being used by NIA.

ngek. sarigumba who claimed himself "watcdog of public funds" wala gani siya kabayad sa iyang advertisement sa sunday post!!! it was just 4,000 pesos for the advertisement. siya lang daw ang maningil s amga contractor. hangtod karun wala pa siya kabayad...2 na katuig!!!

sa controversy sa dam atat na atat siya..daghang mga anomalya nga iyang gipangsabog... but when he was given another poject nahilom siya kadiyor.....now, whistle blower na pud?

when he ran nag-email siya sa GMA 7 nga ipaimbestigar ang "dayaan" sa eleksyon. he didn't accept the fact nga napildi siya.

when his program sa radio turned another year, he had a full page add nga mingreet niya... including GMA 7's host mike enriquez, imbetsigador's producers, etc... why iyang giapil? name dropping nga kunuhay trusted siya sa GMA 7 as a reliable source.

now, wala na nagpalalo ang GMA 7. ang iyang pagka whistle blower or pagkawatchdog is para sa iyang personal interest and investment.

pareho na siya sa mga tawo nga dili motan-aw sa iyang kaugalingon.

hakog! nasilaw sa bahandi!!! nagmamalinis ni siya... kinsay walay sala kan-a ang lapok!

Even if it were a monster who exposed the imaginary dams in Bohol, it doesn't change the fact that there is so much corruption in Bohol dams.

Whether Nilo is an angel or a devil, it doesn't erase the truth that in Bohol we have useless dams worth billions of pesos.

A long, long time ago...

Deep into the forest he went, his sword and shield he held mightily in his hands.
At last he met the ogre, and in a mighty battle that ensued, the youngest prince succeeded
to slay at last the foul beast.
And as the lifeless carcass of the ogre lie on the ground, it shrunk and transformed into the form of the second prince, his elder brother, who only days ago had also slain the eldest prince.
And as the youngest prince stood there, he became the ogre that he slew.

There is always the danger that we become the ogre we were sent to slay.

I saw the PROBE episode.

So what's new? For the objective mind, sounds like it was NEDA who screw it. Why didn't they move immediately when the contract was awarded to Hanjin if they really think it was an overprice? Don't tell me they just knew about it now. Were they born yesterday?

--> para nako ayaw nalang og pasanto santo unya labaw pa diay ka. it's the question og kinsay isog nga moexpose sa mga anomalya....walay moexpose kay nalipay man sila. if wala na malipay, mogara napud.

ingana jud na...weather weather lang. karaang laygay sa kasaysayan sa bohol.
