After a series of trainings and seminars, 20 members of San Jose Women Association of barangay San Jose, in 'Talibon finally received SEA-K funds taken 'from the Revolving SEA-Funds (RSF) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development regional office.
The total amount of P100,000 was deposited at Coastal Bank in Clarin, Bohol and the P60,000 was withdrawn to be distributed to 12 members as first release.
The amount of P40,000 will be withdrawn a month after the first release and will be distributed to nine members of San Jose women who are chairmen and secretaries or treasurers of each group.
This is to enable the officers of each group to religiously monitor the weekly payments of the seed capital.
While it is payable in two years, no interest is imposed on the funds received.
Teresita Diez, manpower development officer of DSWD-national based in Tagbilaran City turned over the money to Municipal Councilor Virginia Item, on behalf of the mayor who was out-of-town for official business, to Municipal Social Welfare Officer III Sosima Gabisan, to barangay captain Alejo Balundo, to the president of SEA Association then to the members of each groups.
