As an addition to the string of activities for its 14th year anniversary celebration, the Talibon Federated Women Association Inc. (TFWAI) has scheduled the induction of its new set of officers on October 2 at the Productivity Skills Capability Building (PSCB) with Municipal Councilor Virginia Item, chairperson of the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Committee on Women, as the inducting officer.

Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer Zosima Gabisan will also grace the activity.

The oath-taking has been set in time of the group's regular monthly meeting.
Members of the TFWAI elected the new set of officers on the first Tuesday of this month.

The newly-elected officers include Vivina Dinoy of San Roque as president, Cipriana Padenof Cataban as vice president, Analiza Garcia of San Francisco as secretary, Helen Eronico of San Jose as treasurer, Mila Espiritu of Burgos as auditor. Eleuteria Pañares of Bagacay, Rosalinda Cabanes of Suba, Maria Tura of Nocnocan and Enriqueta Llena of San Carlos were elected as Press Relation Officers. Angelit Cajes of Sikatuna was appointed as bookkeeper and Jay Lee Garcia of Balintawak was appointed as business manager.

The SB granted accreditation to TFWAI to be included in the local special bodies of the local government unit of the municipality.

The women's association was organized in 1993 with Eleuteria Pañares of Bagacay as the first president. Seven years later, Trinidad Flores of San Francisco took over. Ninda Buno of San Agustin replaced Flores in 2002.

TFWAI current president, Cyd Angeli Auxtero started her stint in 2004.

The association was registered with SEC on November 23, 2004.
