Bohol's only public secondary school that offers night classes has finally new eight rooms to accommodate its growing number of students.
Teachers and parents had long wished for the upgrading of the Cogon Night High School (CNHS) in Tagbilaran City until Rep. Edgar Chatto helped them fulfill it.
Many CNHS students work at daytime to help their poor parents raise their respective families.
There are even children of broken families who have to labor, sustain their schooling and survive by their own.
Because they should work at daytime to earn, these young Boholanos would have no other practical option but get free public education thru night schooling.
Chatto, vice chairman of the education committee in Congress, felt the need of these children for more school facilities, or they may lose access to free night education just because there are no more rooms for them. - source: Bohol Chronicle
