As the city girds for the annual feast day on May 1, in honor of St. Joseph the Worker. the City Government of Tagbilaran is in full swing of preparation for the different fiesta activities, especially the series of nightly entertainment which will start tonight at the Island City Mall multicab parking area.
The opening night in the nine-day novena is the "Halad-Hadla sa Siyudad" by the City Schools Division of Tagbilaran tonight, April 22, featuring the famed Bukang Liwayway Dance Troupe of Dr. Cecilio Putong National High School, Diwanag Dance Troupe of Holy Name University, and other talents from students of the different schools in the city.
Tomorrow night, April 23, is a variety show of the Bohol Federation of Disabled Persons, Inc., and followed by a cultural show of the National Anti-poverty Commission and Ludabi on Tuesday, April 25.
On Wednesday night, April 25, the Alturas Group of Companies will present "Gabii sa Pasiaw," featuring Dos Machos with Visayan comedian actor known as Kosme of "Milyonaryong Mini," plus the Funny Crazy Acrobats of Cebu and other talents.
The Bohol Gay Association sponsors another variety show on Thursday night, April 26, featuring Miss Gay 2007, doble kara and gay boxing. On Saturday night, April 28, San Miguel Beer presents fiesta concert at the park.
Cruztelco will have another concert dubbed as "Cruzin' at the Mall," on Sunday night, April 29, featuring the best of the 60s, 70s and 80s music with Versatile Band, while Unitop treats fiesta revelers with a night of fun and laughter with Dos Comediantes of Cebu.
The City Government of Tagbilaran will also present "Boxing at the Park" on May 1 at the Island City Mall carpark.
The nightly entertainment at the Island City Mall will start 8 PM, and admission is free to the public.
