The Philippines suffered heavy losses in the on-going 2010 Guinness
World Series of Pool 10-Ball Challenge on Friday after Dennis Orcollo and Antonio Lining lost their respective assignments at the Mal Taman Aggrek in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Orcollo yielded to England's Darren Appleton (8-3), while Lining bowed to Japan's top seed Naoyuki Oi (8-6). Both Filipinos were unbeaten going into the final 16 round.
Lining was actually leading over the Japanese early in their match, 5- 2, but an error by the Filipino from a rushed approach in the 8th rack saw Oi return to the table and chain 3 consecutive racks.
