There will be a series of basketball games involving the most popular and colorful former superstar athletes of the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) to be held in California . This is a project of the PBA Legends USA Foundation, a non-profit corporation registered in Washington state and recognized all over the U.S.A. The purpose of the Foundation is to advance and propagate the principles of charity and sportsmanship, particularly among the youth, under the leadership and guidance of former athletes of the PBA.
 
The 2008 series will raise funds for the Foundation. The funds generated will in turn support our educational and charitable projects
in the Philippines and in the U.S.A. Such projects include scholarship grants to needy and deserving students n high school and college levels; medical and dental missions for then poorest of the poor involving volunteer Fil-Am and Filipino doctors; basketball clinics and other philanthropies, including assistance to former athletes in dire straits.
 
Some of the athletes participating in this project are PBA Hall of Fame members, Robert Jaworski, Ramon Fernandez, Francis Arnaiz, Bogs Adornado, Atoy Co and Phillip Cezar. Also participating are Abe King (President of the Foundation) Bernard Fabiosa, Allan Caidic, Alvin
Patrimonio, Samboy Lim Jojo Lastimosa, Hector Calma, Johnny Abarrientos, Vergel Meneses, Bong Alvarez, Jerry Codinera, Manny
Victorino and many others. As a side event, there will be a three on three competition between, Mon Fernandez, Abe King and Philip Cezar.  Also a one on one  competition between Francis Arnaiz and Bernard Fabiosa.  This will be on all venues.
