Why Did Alexander Weep?
« on: August 09, 2007, 04:56:50 PM »
Alexander was a great military commander, leading his troops into every encounter. A bit of an over-achiever, the historian Plutarch wrote that Alexander wept upon learning that the universe was infinite. When asked what was wrong, he replied: "There are so many worlds, and I have not yet conquered even one."

Romans 10:9
"That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved."

That shows to tell you, no man either he be a peasant, a senator, councilman, a noble, a King, an Emperor or even a "God-King" can truly conquor and rule the world. All civilizations and empires rise and fall and no one can stay in power for ever.

Sands in time. That's what we are. Sands in time.

Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
