Happiness is man-made construct to describe the feeling of ecstasy and euphoria that is felt after an impressive act, or a memorable moment. It is socially constructed; typical of socio-psychological interaction.
'Happiness' is manifested when a human completes a feat that is considered 'acceptable, preferred, romantic, great' in society. The biological explanation is that the brain works precipitously in that the hypothalamus region of the central nervous system produces the hormone called endorphine, which saturates the body with ecstasy after a great event. The brain will also secrete the hormone called serotonin, which is responsible for euphoric feelings, which results in a sense of "contentness", "happiness", "reassuredness".
Happiness is all in the mind. Literally. Specifically in the interior of the basal neuroglia within in recesses of the hypothalamus.
