SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) SEPTEMBER 16, 2019

(September 16, 2019) – Measurabl is proud to team up with two forward-leaning San Diego organizations to increase access to technology training for under-represented communities. Measurabl, the world’s most widely adopted ESG (environmental, social, governance) software for commercial real estate, has partnered with LEARN Academy and Girls in Tech on separate initiatives to empower the next generation of diverse technology experts.

LEARN Academy is an organization aimed at helping mid-career professionals transition into tech careers in the San Diego region. Measurabl and LEARN are teaming up to provide 3 candidates a year who identify in under-represented communities with $6,000 scholarships to support their training. Additionally, scholarship recipients will receive a 3-month paid internship with Measurabl following completion of their course as well as consideration for full-time employment.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Measurabl to provide even more ways for our students to succeed,” said Chelsea Kaufman, CEO and Co-Founder of LEARN Academy. “These scholarships will remove one of the biggest barriers to a student’s opportunity to learn tech skills, and Measurabl has proven to be a committed partner in ensuring our student’s success.”

Current Measurabl employee Janice Zosa, QA Engineer, graduated from LEARN Academy in February 2019. She joined the team as a QA Intern and, with her significant contributions to the team, was promoted to QA Engineer 1 in August.

“We’re supporting all three aspects of ESG through our actions, and the new partnerships with LEARN and Girls in Tech advance this mission,” said Janice Zosa. “LEARN Academy provided me with confidence when it came to interviewing with Measurabl. Not only do they have great instructors to teach different programming languages, but they also have an amazing Career Services Manager, Bryan Banville, who helps each student with resumes and their search for an opportunity to work in the tech field.”

Girls in Tech (GIT) is a global non-profit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls and women who are passionate about technology; the San Diego chapter celebrated its two-year anniversary recently. Measurabl is partnering with GIT to support women in tech through programs like learning workshops, speaker series and a hackathon focused on social good.

“Measurabl has been a great supporter of GIT, and we are excited to formalize our partnership,” said Lisa Rosenfelt, Co-Managing Director of Girls in Tech, San Diego. “With our ongoing collaboration, we look forward to continue to unite girls and women in technology.”

Measurabl will host the upcoming Girls in Tech event on October 10. The speaker event will be hosted at Measurabl’s new headquarters and all are encouraged to attend.

“In order to provide a global solution that can measure what matters, we must create and nurture a company culture that mirrors the world we serve,” said Dana Arnold, Chief Operating Officer at Measurabl. “We believe this is what matters, and in fact, we believe the impact is measurable.”

The Diversity Scholarship at LEARN Academy is open for applicants through October 11, 2019. You can find more details here: https://www.learnacademy.org/blog/measurabl-diversity-coding-scholarship/
