School happy to be launching pad of pre-school feeding program
Iloilo City (29 June 2005) -- Jaro I Elementary School officials, teachers and parents are elated with their school being the launching venue for the Pre-School Education Nutrition and Feeding Program of government through the Department of Education and its allied agencies and entities.

School principal Ms. Bebianita Masna said they are happy that the activity will showcase the relentless efforts of government in addressing early childhood development needs and the rising cases of malnutrition.

Ms. Masna said that the program is a boost to their on-going Applied Nutrition Program (ANP) and assures the pre-schoolers of more attention in their nutritional needs, together with the identified malnourished Grade I pupils.

The ANP in their school serves about 251 children, through percentage sharing in their canteen and the produce of their local agriculture program, which grows many kinds of vegetables, cooked and served by their Nutritionist/ANP Coordinator.

Ms. Masna further said that the parents are all-out in their support and participation in the Pre-School Education Nutrition and Feeding Program considering the fact that their growing children need all the early care as to proper intake in order to cope with the demands of active, healthy living.

The launching of the program in their school is also a signal for all schools in the Division of Iloilo to put more vigor in their ANP and for all sectors to cooperate, Masna added. (PIA 6)

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
