Alternative Answers: The Class Divide in Investing, and How You Can Close It by Bob Rice

“A class system has developed among investors over the past few decades. Elite money managers have used a proprietary set of tools to ride economic cycles … Meanwhile, the rest of us thought that “investing” was synonymous with buying stocks and bonds … Fortunately, times have changed.”

John 3:16-18 ESV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son (Jesus Christ), that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Sa ahong pagsabot:

Investing = Buy stocks and bonds, invest in mutual funds and then let time do the magic by increasing the value

Trading = Buy stocks and sell when it reaches your target level

i hate both words now.  whatever they mean, i invested in prudentialife and look what i'm getting in return after 7 years--- 5% of my total investment for the college education of our youngest and 33% of my total investment for my pension fund.  i read the news that there's some kind of near-riot at the law firm that's handling the receivership of this erstwhile pre-need company because of the throng of claimants.  i'm not about to join that throng only to be crushed.  i wish i simply saved all that investment in the bank.

This Company even asked us to audit their financials, we simply declined from their offer knowing their current financial status. Until now naa pa gihapon sa receivership.

Bonds, in simple terms, is just like a promissory note. You receive in equal intervals return of investment in the form of interest and principal payments.

Daghan ang nag offer ug mutual fund investment sa Pilipinas. You can start here: https://www.bdo.com.ph/business/trust-investments/unit-investment-trust-funds. BDO ni sija. Althouhg, I know naa pud ang MBTC.

I read somewhere nga may mga company's offering gani for as low as P5,000 initial capital para macover tong mga tawo nga way pangcapital pa nga gusto mag invest.

i'll consider that, labi na tong ubos kaayog initial capital.  meantime nalingaw ko sa akong apil-apil ug informal neighborhood savings and loan association.  invest ug minimum of 500 a month, pagka-december 15, uy, ang akong 6k nahimo nang 8k.  ambot giunsa nila, basta kahibawo lang ko nga patas ang ganansya sa tanan.

thanks, tigs.  i gave the two sites a once-over.  what glared as a risk was only the fact that unlike deposits, mutual funds are not insured.  it's interesting, the world of finance.
