My niece is a first year High School Student at Holy Name University High School in Tagbilaran. 
(Well, actually now a 'Seventh Grade' Student.) 

She tells me her next semester tuition is being paid by a scholarship.

Can anyone tell me who is funding this scholarship?

I'd like to extend our gratitude to the persons or organization who is funding it.

The New Pablo O. Lim Memorial Astrodome was Number One: -  really not needed, we had a perfectly adequate community center. and Number Two: - financed by our former mayor and now Lt. Governor who pawned Badian Springs.  If the town defaults on the loan, you will have to go to Panglao to swim.

The restored Dome and interior of the Holy Infant Church, and the stained glass windows were paid for by US, Manila, Davao, Cebu, Saudi, UK, and USA balikbayans.  (There are plaques at the entrance to the church)  The LGU had nothing to do with this work.

I think the reason you do not see any negatives is because you have not spent any time here.

After reading Mr. Lorenzo's responses, it appears he is one of the 11.53% of school drop outs.  Assuming a HOUSEHOLD of seven people, Mother, Father, and five children, multiplied by 3,048 HOUSEHOLDS comes to 21,336 PEOPLE. .  21,336 is actually 71% of the town's population.  If the Provincial average below the poverty line is 42.3% then Valencia is leading the way in poverty.

The house was sold for as much as $659,000. (Php 28.4 million)  Also re-sold in Forclosure.

The House in the picture is 1240 Cabernet.  It sold for as much as $600,000. (Php 26.2 million) in 2005, but has resold in Feb 2011 for less than $446,000. (Php 19 million) Market value is about $418,000.

Don't we have more important things to worry about?

"Former city Mayor Jose Torralba"   is that the same guy that re-built the Agora Market?  We will not see an Airport on Panglao in my lifetime, or even yours.
