Ha,ha,ha... Yes, am crazy for holding those close enemies... why should I worry for that?  I could live without them loving me... because many out there are loving me anyway..

Crazy, I'm crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy, crazy for feeling so blue
I knew you'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you'd leave me for somebody new
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wond'ring what in the world did I do?
Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I'm crazy for trying and crazy for crying
And I'm crazy for loving you
Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I'm crazy for trying and crazy for crying
And I'm crazy for loving you.

ah ok, sorry for the interruption.  Those towns are in the interior part of Bohol.  And for agricultural products shipment you still have to travel a little bit far because it is located in the interior.  Buenavista town is along the coast also.  The lot I have been saying is not so far from the coast.  It is only 1.5 to two kilometers from the coast.  And a ferry boat is travelling from Buenavista to Cebu.  And Buenavista also is near Talibon and Tubigon towns where fast crafts are sailing also from Cebu to Bohol and vice versa.  So shipment of agricultural products is not difficult.  The hill where corn and coconuts are planted as of now is overlooking the sea.  The location is like Beverly hills in Cebu.  It is a rolling terrain.  Investors for agricultural products, housing, and institutional companies are very much welcomed to that area.

Plant rice and corn and fruit trees para dili lang kay buy and sell.  Ikaw ra pud mag sell.  Banana plantation, casava plantation and factory for these kind of products.  Kung mag mango plantation dried mango factory. I have 17 hectare lot for sale in Buenavista. A lot from our heirs... No one can cultivate and monitor the harvest of the cultivators we need to sell it.  If only I have enough capital it is nice ofr an Agricultural college and have a practicum having a plantation in the lot.  If partners or ventures are willing they are very much welcomed.

Angara hopes to solidify fight versus corruption in Southeast Asian region

MANILA, Oct 1 (PNA) -â€" Senator Edgardo Angara is hoping that the fight against corruption in the Southeast Asian region will be strengthened with the hosting of the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) and the regional meeting of the Southeast Asian Parliamentarians Against Corruption (SEAPAC) at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza.

Members of Parliament (MPs) and experts from thirteen countries gathered beginning on Thursday to affirm their commitment to the global fight against corruption during the two-day conference aims to equip lawmakers with tools to implement the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).

According to Senator Edgardo Angara, founding President of SEAPAC and the only Asian representative to GOPAC’s Executive Board, “the two-day conference will help strengthen the region’s fight against corruption.”

“The fight against corruption is a continuous struggle and is not limited by borders or cultures. Each nation represented here must help in formulating an international cooperative strategy to aid us in this fight,” Angara added.

Angara also said the gathering will show the world that the Philippines joins the international community in committing to combat corruption and to promote good governance.

Aside from Angara, members of the Philippine Senate were among the 36 parliamentarians who attended the conference and they are senators Loren Legarda, Franklin Drilon, Juan Miguel Zubiri and Francis Pangilinan.

Department of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima delivered keynote speech where she stressed the commitment of the new administration of President Benigno Aquino to eradicate graft and corruption as promised by the President during the election campaign period.

Together with leaders of multilateral institutions and members of civil society, the series of meetings focus on formulating strategies in combating corruption, promoting transparency and upholding public accountability and good governance among the organization’s member countries â€" with parliaments playing a key role.

Among the expected results of the conference is the ratification of all member countries of the UNCAC, which the Philippines ratified in 2006.

“We will assess the performance of every member country in their fight against corruption, their key strengths and weaknesses, as against their most recent anti-corruption initiative,” Angara added, referring to a Parliamentarians Toolkit developed by the GOPAC Global Task Force of parliamentarians, GOPAC and the Oslo office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), that brings together GOPAC policy positions and the UNCAC.

This Toolkit provides a reporting framework that can be adapted to regional and national circumstances for parliamentarians to assess their own roles in preventing corruption through legislation, oversight and representation.

It is also intended to facilitate the identification of strengths and weaknesses as well as areas for technical assistance and parliamentary strengthening in corruption prevention.

Angara led the passage of major anti-corruption laws including the Government E-Procurement Law and creation of the Office of the Ombudsman. He continues to push for the Political Party and Campaign Finance Reform bill which will transform political parties into public institutions and maintain transparency in their activities.

The event was made possible through the support of the Philippine Senate under the leadership of Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, the Asia Foundation, the United Nation’s Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Civil Service Commission of the Philippines, and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES).

In its 2010 Corruption Perception Index (CPI), TI said the Philippines was ranked 134th with a score of 2.4, better than its 139th ranking in 2009.

In 2008, the Philippines was ranked 141st with a score of 2.3.

Despite the improvement in overall ranking, the Philippines is still considered as "highly corrupt" country in the world along with Kenya, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Russia, Republic of Congo, Uganda, Timor Leste, Lebanon, Solomon Islands, Mali, Mongolia, Niger, Libya, Iran, Nepal, Yemen, Cambodia, Venezuela, Honduras, Syria, Nicaragua, Bolivia, Benin, Gabon, Indonesia, Kosovo, Kazakhatan, Modova, among others.

The Philippines also continued to lag behind most of its neighoring countries in Southeast Asian countries like Malaysia, 56th; Thailand, 78th; Indonesia, 110th and Vietnam, 116th.

Denmark, New Zealand and Singapore tie for first place with scores of 9.3.

The 2010 CPI measures the degree to which public sector corruption is perceived to exist in 178 countries around the world. It scores countries on a scale from 10 (very clean) to 0 (highly corrupt).

The 2010 results were drawn from 13 surveys and assessments published between January 2009 and September 2010.

This year’s index ranks 178 countries by their perceived levels of public sector corruption, as determined by expert assessments and opinion surveys. All sources measure the overall extent of corruption (frequency and/or size of bribes) in the public and political sectors.

The CPI helps to highlight the propensity of domestic corruption and its damaging influence.

TI defines corruption as the abuse of entrusted power for private gain.

“These results signal that significantly greater efforts must go into strengthening governance across the globe. With the livelihoods of so many at stake, governments’ commitments to anti-corruption, transparency and accountability must speak through their actions. Good governance is an essential part of the solution to the global policy challenges governments face today,” Huguette Labelle, chair of TI said.

Labelle said allowing corruption to continue was unacceptable; too many poor and vulnerable people continued to suffer its consequences around the world.

"We need to see more enforcement of existing rules and laws. There should be nowhere to hide for the corrupt or their money,” Labelle said.

To fully address these challenges, TI said governments need to integrate anti-corruption measures in all spheres, from the responses to the financial crisis and climate change to commitments by the international community to eradicate poverty.

The report said unstable governments, often with a legacy of conflict, continued to dominate the bottom rungs of the CPI.

Afghanistan and Myanmar share second to last place with a score of 1.4, with Somalia coming in last with a score of 1.1.

“The results of this year’s CPI show again that corruption is a global problem that must be addressed in global policy reforms," Labelle said.

TI said the 2010 CPI covered two countries fewer than last year’s edition.

The slight change resulted from individual sources adjusting the range of countries they assess. These adjustments in coverage made it possible to include Kosovo for the first time, but led to the exclusion of Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname, for which only two sources of information were available this year. A membership fee of TBN gives only the right to vote and be voted upon at a meeting and to receive reports of the charity’s activities, unless such reports are also sold. If the reports are available for a fee to non-members, they are valued as an advantage (benefit) and may affect the amount of the official donation tax receipt.

The purpose of the registered charity is to provide hospitalization assistance through the radio program. For a membership fee of 100 php, a member will receive:

        * the right to notice of, and attendance at, all general assembly or membership meetings of the charity organization
        * recognition as a donor on all activities
        * prioritization of hospitalization benefits / discount through endorsements of TBN Volunteers Club officials

It has to do with the issue of MEDIA CORRUPTION, a subject you will never find discussed very much at all by the Main Stream Media pundits, broadcasters and other "professionals". Yet it is no secret at all that the Mass Media as an institution is not very different at all from other institutions in the Philippines like the government. Although they like to congratulate themselves over how they are the institution people turn to for justice and retribution, the truth is that the Mass Media are just as corrupt as any other government agency, and far more cunning and hypocritical in denying and hiding the fact. Like any good Mafia, omerta is an unwritten rule never violated by members of the media. Even if reporters, broadcasters and pundits are on the take at many--no, ALL--media organizations, you won't ever hear a word of it mentioned in...the Media! Try as hard as people like Doronila might to portray the media as selfless defenders of Press Freedom and the Public's Right to Know, the reality is, the Mass Media is just as corrupt and dishonest as the people and institutions they attack, criticize, expose and defame.

Right now being election campaign season, for example, money and favors are raining down on the Media. What are the chances I wonder, that among all those deals and arrangements that have been made between politicians and officeholders on the one hand, and reporters, broadcasters and station managers on the other, that none will go sour? That no one will be betrayed or disappointed? That no one will be killed or revenged upon as a result?

We must allow for the possibility that not all of these journalists involved in drive-by shootings are also involved in deals gone sour or are the target of local warlords and illegal interests that they have indeed exposed. But it stretches believability for Doronila to claim that they are all the result of a state failing to protect defenders of Press Freedom from exposing local venalities and corrupt officials. Perhaps too cynically, many Filipinos actually believe these journalists deserve what they get, or have it coming to them from enemies of the friends from whom they have been on the take. Extortion, blackmail and influence peddling are clearly not the exclusive province of the warlords and the politicians. Increasingly, the power of mass media is being turned to personal profit by journalists and other media practitioners. The violence we see, is at least in part, the result of all this business that really has little to do with journalism as such.

The analogy I really like is that between modern day Journalists and the Spanish era frailocracy--mainly because the quality of the hypocrisy and the degree of self-righteousness between these two groups is roughly the same in that whilst both were officially fighting social evils and working for the common good, the reality was, and is, that many of their members and adherents were as much participants in that evil and venality whilst outwardly denouncing them.
There is a deeper connection between Mass Media and the old frailocracy too. It has to do with the Separation of Church and State, which the Spanish Taliban clearly did not subscribe to; and the Separation of the Press and State, by which I mean that like the frailocracy, the Media have come to a point of power and influence that they actually "set the agenda" for discussion and debate by the people and the State. Virtually nothing happens or is paid attention to that the Media does not put in headlines or prime time newscasts, whether at the national or the local level.

Until and unless the Mass Media can regain its reputation for professionalism and impartiality, as opposed to being willing tools of one or the other political and economic interest, whether traditional politicians or politicians of the Left, I don't think its practitioners should look to Public Outrage for protection when their deals go sour or they are seen by deadly and serious forces as taking sides for their own profit and advantage.

MEDIA CORRUPTION is not an easy subject for jorunalistic investigation. In this unprecedented work, Chay Florentino-Hofileña looks at the history of media corruption in the Philippines, probes corrupt practices in the 1990s, and discovers how a free press can be bought.

This study shows that compared to the past, media corruption in the post-Marcos era is costlier, more pervasive, and even more systemic. It is also disturbingly sophisticated, and in some cases, even institutionalized. The organized way in which corruption takes placeâ€"through a network of jorunalists reporting to other journalists or to professional public relations or PR peopleâ€"makes it seem almost like the operation of a criminal syndicate, a mafia of corrupt practitioners.

Effective strategies in fighting corruption should necessarily include knowledge and data as pre-requisites, as proposed by Daniel Kauffman, a former director of the World Bank Institute.  He presents this formula:

AC (anti-corruption efforts) = KI (knowledge and information) + LE (leadership) + CA (collective action)

What this shows is the central importance of information and the involvement of media and citizens in any anti-corruption effort. In a number of instances, the Philippine press has demonstrated a strong but somewhat inconsistent capacity to focus on wrongdoing and malfeasance in the public sector.  It was through dogged journalism and concerted action of civil society that Joseph Estrada was ousted from the presidency in January 2001 after an aborted impeachment trial.

By reporting extensively and fearlessly on Estrada’s mistresses, houses, gambling habits, nocturnal and unofficial midnight Cabinet meetings, and kickbacks from various government projects, Filipino journalists, wittingly or unwittingly, galvanized the collective rage of citizens who otherwise would have remained on the sidelines without the kind of information they had on their hands.

That single event underlined the role of critical, investigative reporting in ensuring more transparent and accountable governance.  It also showed that good journalism can spur citizens to action and can open avenues for media-citizen engagement. But in-depth, analytical and sustained reporting on transparency and accountability issues has remained a very specialized field with very few news organizations actually pouring resources and support for such journalistic initiatives.

In many democracies around the world, exposing corruption in electoral campaign financing and expenditures, for example, has encouraged widespread public debates and in a few instances has prompted electoral authorities to put greater restrictions on campaign finance. Scandals linked to campaign contributions in Japan in the 1990s resulted in new laws being passed limiting corporate money influence in elections.

News reporting on this issue in the Philippines has gained little headway since much of journalism has its nose firmly following the circus trail of candidates, especially those vying for national posts.

Increasingly, the internet is also coming to its own as a potent and speedy way of sending and exchanging information, and in many cases, spurring citizen action the way it did in the Philippines in 2001 during the impeachment trial of Estrada.

UNDP’s 2008 Asia-Pacific Human Development Report noted, “During the 2000 election campaign in the Republic of Korea a coalition of 600 grassroots organizations had found that 15 percent of the candidates for parliament had serious criminal records and many others were guilty of tax evasion or dodging the draft.  They published the names of blacklisted candidates on a website.  The website got 1.1 million hits on election day and of 86 blacklisted candidates, 58 lost.”

The report proceeded to ask: “Why did the newspapers not take the initiative?” The answer was because Korea for more than three decades had been in the grip of a dictatorship and the press had survived mainly because of its timidity.

What this shows is the transformative nature of journalism and civil society in many parts of the world, especially here in the Philippines where non-government organizations, faith-based groupings, business associations, civic groups and the like have encouraged strong citizen participation in governance.

“Civil society and the media are crucial to creating and maintaining an atmosphere in public life that discourages fraud and corruption.  Indeed, they are arguably the two most important factors in eliminating systemic corruption in public institutions,” said Rick Stapenhurst in his World Bank Institute paper, “The Media’s Role in Curbing Corruption.”

Stapenhurst presents tangible and intangible ways by which journalism can serve as a deterrent to corruption.

The tangible and most spectacular among the variety of forms, he said, is when corrupt bureaucrats or public-office-holders are impeached, prosecuted or forced to resign after wrongdoing had been exposed such as the case of Estrada.  Less spectacular, but arguably equally important is the day-to-day slogging kind of conscientious reporting that may prompt formal investigations into allegations of corruption.

He said, “News accounts disseminate the findings of public anti-corruption bodies, thus reinforcing the legitimacy of these bodies and reducing the ease with which interested parties who hold power can meddle in their work.  Conversely, when journalism exposes flaws and even corruption within the various bodies of the state (police, courts, the Ombudsman) corruption is put on check.”

Should public pressure, as a result of media reporting on corruption, lead to a reform of those agencies or bodies, “the long-term effectiveness and potential of the media to act as a counterweight against corruption is strengthened.”

But there is a dark side to this.

Corruption, press freedom, media ethics and other challenges

The press and other media can only report on corruption if they have the freedom to do so.  In many parts of the world, journalists face two major constraints: First, states that control the press; and, second, private media owners or proprietors who may themselves be corrupt.

While the news media in the Philippines is widely considered to be the freest in Asia, it has rated low on press freedom ratings because of the number of journalists murdered in the line of duty.  Many of the slain Filipino journalists were investigating corrupt practices in local areas.  As of this writing, and since 2001, about 200 journalists in the Philippines have lost their lives in pursuit of a story.

The Worldwide Press Freedom Index of Asia-Pacific Countries in 2007 conducted by Reporters without Borders showed that the Philippines ranked 128 with a score of 44.8, one point higher than Maldives which ranked 129 and immediately below Malaysia with a ranking of 124.  The index was based on events that took place between September 1, 2006 and September 1, 2007.

“Clearly a free press is not enough.  What these countries need in addition are clean and efficient systems of justice that will follow up on widely-reported allegations,” said the Asia-Pacific Human Development Report.

Unfortunately, today most of the news rooms have gone from media bias, to engaging in media corruption. While media bias is a breach of the fundamental journalistic standards that may lead to loss of the public trust, media corruption is the use of criminal devices to manipulate or defraud the public, and destroys our societal moral fabric.

With the proliferation of technological advances, and subsequent increased ambitions on the global socio-political/economic platform, so too have the ambitions in newsrooms across the nation increased. No longer do media journalists prioritize source accuracy and reliability in news reporting over ratings.

News sources are now competing for popularity, high ratings and advertising dollars. With full access and control of the news outlets that reach the masses, and no one to "answer to," media has ceased to be reliable tools for information, but become powerful tools for fraud and manipulation. Unthinkable as it once was, today journalists fabricate stories, create fraudulent documents to pass them off as evidentiary facts, and for personal gain even collude with elements of society to sabotage rivals, hurt their enemies, and control the masses. Right or wrong, they do whatever pleases them.

question 1:  can you correct something or someone that you haven't judged?  put another way, can you make or set right something or someone that you haven't formed an estimate or evaluation of, especially a negative opinion?  (i'm going by the definitions of the two words.)

They have done it but they are not judged.  They are to be corrected.. that if they accept that they are mistakened... They presumed always they have not done wrong... If I have done wrong maybe because am  telling the truth here answering the postings of criticisms.  For I have witnessed the mistakes and I have to tell the truth and nothing but the truth...  They should accept that they have done a mistake...  Proverbs 15:10, "Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die."

Let us not refuse to receive correction.

II Timothy 3:16-17, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

"I haven't done anything wrong." Often when confronted with personal sin this will be the first response. This attitude, however, is a mistake. Even when we are reasonably sure that we have not done anything wrong, our attitude should not be that of Bart Simpson, "I didn't do it; nobody saw me do it; you can't prove anything." Even popular culture recognizes the error of this fatalistic response.

I went to his office to ask and hear his reasoning as to why he feels that the group is not to hold fund raisers? I had gone to the club meetings after talking with Peter and relayed what we had discussed that is when I suggested that Peter and Gerry should come to a meeting to talk about the matter as well as the matter that one of the TBN Ireland persons had said monthly club dues instead of saying monthly donations.
I did not put it into motion as I felt I had already had plenty of motions on the floor from past get together and I allowed Donna Alonso to put the motion of inviting both the anchorman and Peter to a special meeting. She did not know how to do it I was the one saying it for her as she was repeating out loud what it was that I was saying.... STOP YOUR DEFENSIVE STATEMENTS ABOUT THESE AND EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR BECAUSE UNTIL NOW GERRY DID NOT APPEAR TO SIT FOR A MEETING WITH THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND DID NOT ANYMORE ANNOUNCE MEETINGS AND IT IS YOUR DUTY TO  HAVE IT ON AIR TO ANNOUNCE MEETINGS AND FOR HIS COMPULSORY ATTENDANCE TO APPEAR...  THIS IS THE PROBLEM OF THE BOARD AS WHAT I HAVE RAISED IN THE PREVIOUS POSTINGS... AFTER THE PROPOSAL FOR THE TOWN CHAPTERS COLLECTION OF ANNUAL DUES TO KEEP UPDATED ACTIVATION OF THE TBN MEMBERS IN THE WHOLE PROVINCE HE DID NOT ANYMORE APPEAR...

Let me do some more memory jogging for you...The secretary and I asked our Vice President of the group who is Atty. Raul Barbarona on what are our legal boundaries for being able to raise money via fund raising?
According to Atty. Raul we are allowed as we are a registered non-profit through SEC.
This was the time I had told the secretary that we need to invite these people in order to let them know that it is okay to have fund raising activities instead of the info I was given by Peter that the group could not...He even went as far as telling me to have the fund raising but not using the programs name.

I was hurt for this, ashamed for me and the TBN group. and found it hard to believe? Peter is conservative and a low profile type and does not want things to ever go bad....
I think he does not like the ideal of fund raising maybe to do with a lack of trust for some? Who knows? He also mentioned I am a nice person and for me to have my own organization someday and have my own fund raising going on for my own group....ANYONE WHO DOES NOT TRUST SOMEONE TRUSTED BY A GROUP OF PERSONS CANNOT BE TRUSTED ALSO.... THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS LOSES THE TRUST THEY HAVE WITH THE ANCHORMAN AS IT WAS RECORDED IN THE MINUTES THAT I HAVE READ... MANY ANNUAL DUES ARE NOT UPDATED...

Then we had invitations to get out to members in the group for the meeting together with Peter. The secretary text me asking a favor if I could deliver the invitations to Pabe and Peter? I gave each guy their own invitation. For sometime Pabe had not received any donations from TBN Club.

While awaiting Peter at the meeting, the group had made an emotion to have Donna as chairman on entertainment to inquire on Bohol has Talent. This was an ideal to have as a money could be raised with such an event....Huh So far there are no reports given to the club on such an event neither has Donna called me in regards to such matters, as I was also chosen to help with the fund raising activity.THERE WAS A MEETING AFTER THAT AND YOU DID NOT ATTEND... PLEASE DON'T STOP TALKING IF YOU ARE NOT SURE... YOU ARE JUST TALKING OF NON-SENSE... GOOD FOR ME ... EVEN IF I AM NOT AN OFFICIAL (ONLY A MEMBER) I ALWAYS INQUIRE INFORMATION FROM THE SECRETARY.... THIS PROPOSAL WAS NOT CARRIED BECAUSE IT NEEDS MORE CAPITAL... AND THE GROUP MUST HAVE FIRST TO CLEAR UP ITS DOCUMENTATION WITH THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT... PETER SAID HE IS OK FOR FUND RAISING AS LONG AS THERE WILL BE TRANSPARENCY OF THE TRANSACTIONS.... SO TBN NEEDS TO HAVE TO PUT UP ITS OWN FINANCIAL STATEMENT SO THAT THE FUND RAISING INCOME WILL BE  ADDED TO THE TBN FUNDS AT PRESENT.... THIS SHOULD BE THE PROPER WAY AROUND... THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE PERSON HANDLING THE MONEY COLLECTED WILL NOT APPEAR DURING MEETINGS... THIS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM OF THE GROUP... YOU SHOULD NOT TALK MORE THAN THAT.... YOU SHOULD NOT KEEP ON TRANSACTING ONLINE DONATIONS WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF THE GROUP... TAKE NOTE THAT YOU DID NOT MENTION WHERE THE DONATION WILL BE GIVEN... SO IT IS ALWAYS GERRY PABE AND / OR EITHER YOU WHO WILL BE RECEIVING IT... DO YOU UNDERSTAND THE VIOLATION THAT YOU HAVE MADE???? ASK PERMISSION FROM THE GROUP BECAUSE YOU ARE USING YOUR POSITION AS PRO IN RECRUITING DONORS BUT YOU WILL BE GIVING THE MONEY TO WHERE????? WHEN THERE IS SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE WHERE WILL IT GOES????   STOP... STOP EVERYTHING.... YOU ARE ALWAYS TALKING NON-SENSE.   GIVING TROUBLE TO THE GROUP..... SHOUTING ON THE PHONE TO YOUR SECRETARY DURING NIGHT TIME????? THIS COULD NOT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM!!!! EXPLAIN IT TO THE REST OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS...

I do not recall accusing or pointing a finger at anyone in here as you have mentioned.

Anytime if you know people are saying bad things about the people then you should always talk to those persons who are being talked about in a wrong way and help them in the best way possible.

Time to sign myself out.....Good Night!

Well, alright you have the right to deny to the maximum point about the issues that BIR is not after of the receipts because they were not told that HE is the one holding the money / collections... And that should be done by the Anchorman to see personally the BOD officials ALWAYS... Why just now??? Why not during the meetings especially when scheduled for monthly meetings????  And perhaps if HE would not see the concerned officials it would be  thousands who would be inquiring why HE will not communicate with the people whom HE organzed and after organizing saying THE GROUP HAS NO RIGHT TO QUESTION THE MONEY HE HAS RECEIVED.... ////  WHY DID HE NOT APPEARED TO THE MEETING WHEN CALLED UP AND INFORM SOME MEMBERS NOT TO ATTEND IF THE SECRETARY WILL NOT RESIGN SINCE/// Atty. Barbarona said there are fines to be imposed and you heard it..... WHY?????? You are blaming the secretary of being irresponsible!!!! You did not know that last year the Secretary is always jotting down all the transactions and when there was a discrepancy and the Secretary questioned the Anchorman was angry??? If you could also remember there were minutes that I have read that the Anchorman said the group has no right to raise funds????? WHY???? Is he afraid that the group could raise more funds and he could not anymore hold the money???? THE OBJECTIVE OF THE GROUP IF GENERATING FUNDS FOR DONATIONS.... WHY WAS HE AGAINST OF THAT AND HE WAS NOT AGAINST COLLECTING MONEY online without the permission of the BOD officials concerned... Who will pay the fines that if it not of THE ANCHORMAN who is against the issuance of receipts there will be no fines imposed..... HE must have to clear up so that HE will not be questioned by thousand people...  MORA SIYA UG NAKAMINOS SA MGA OFFICIALS...  AJAW NA PALABI JAMA-JAMA ilabi nang iapil pa gyud nimo nang mga politiko nga wanay labot...

hahaha, atangi ang sunod sumpay...labaw na gud mabuhi ang organization kay thousands of members mahibulong... anyway... muabot raman sad sa SEC ang results ani kay mapasa man ni tanan kung dimakig settle ang anchorman so SEC maybe will make action kay witnesses baya sila si anchorman ug gm sa articles of incorporation... maka daut baya ni nila kay the program can collect donations but given directly to the concerned on that hour... but if it is annual dues of membership collection and benefactors who entrusts money will b monitored by SEC... so di na ma tense ang officers sa ilang transactions and they can go on the other way but ulaw gud kay daghan mang issues kay daghan mangutana.... NON-PARTISAN mi nga group....wala mi politiko gi dapigan to uphod dignity...ga jama2x lang gyud mo

The only thing worse that you have done is talking about non-sense.... talking about topics what you have ONLY attended as to the secretary have said.... I am focusing on this because its been a long time that the anchorman did not settle this problem with the group.... And here comes you who keep on criticizing the group as eating so much.... Yes we will eat lechon during Christmas Party because we have contributed for that.  The officers solicited for some donations so there it was a lechon... And they planned to solicit for Christmas Party soon... That is why it is so.... So you could see that if the secretary will resign as if everybody will be moving out from the officers... But even if the secretary will resign still she is a member of the BOD.... And so also with the rest of the officers.... The only thing is there was a move when you were absent and you did not know it... The BOD planned to move to the other station if the anchorman still won't clear up the confusion he has given to the members....  But the Secretary said as of now she will resign and make a move to move you out from the membership of the group because you are adding trouble to the group... The group has certain by-laws to be followed I have read it..... So perhaps you should settle this with the anchorman to solve the problem and not add the problem... Upon reading the By-laws I have learned you have violated such and the Secretary is planning to file charges against you to the Board of Directors so that it will be decided together with the wife of the anchorman and the anchorman himself who never attended meetings..... so perhaps you must be updated with your activities then.... And it is up to the decision of the Board of Directors now.....

Ngano man diay ug Tagilaran By Nite gihapon ang name kami man nag una pagregister.... Kanang mga organization nga magamit ug name nga dili registered mao nay walay originality.... We are giving donations during night time sad so what kung magkasinabot mi as a group nga mubalhin gyud sa pikas... hehehhe mao na diha ang uwaw nga mahitabo... paluma-luma man organize unya dili tarungon kung maka gunit kag kwarta moingon walay labot ang organization so dili na pud mi maninglabot sa iya...

No I am not am a Certified Public Accountant a government employee,,,,, But a member of the organzation... Kung Non-Profit modiha sa Ireland... ang TBN Volunteers Club, Bohol non profit pud and organize by the anchorman himself... Registered mi unya kamo dili.. so you are not authorize to collect from TBN members in Ireland... Maapil lagi na audit inyo money kay nakalista sa Bohol Chronicle nga intended for donations... Non-profit ka or dili basta mangolekta ka ug money you must be registered and issue receipts.. Standard Operating Procedures gani... Kanang mga foundations ug charitable organizations mga non-profit organization na sila... and they are registered... Mao ni gi monitor sa atong government karon ang mga individual persons or groups collecting money using foundations and charitable organization's name for the benefit of fame or vested personal interest of a group or individual...

And only chairty organizations should take hold of moeny for donations... Bisan gani ang ABS CBN ug GMA naghimo gyud ug foundation para sa mao nga purpose... Dili gyud mogunit ang mga media people it should be the organization... Wla man ko maninglabot kung ugaling moingon mo inyo na nga money ug kamo magbuot but once on air na it is intended for a certain purpose...

I will report you to your manager why you have out of stock with that... You need to update that stocks... Buo-tuoton gyud... Defensive lang gyud siya... Nagpa advise man gani akong amiga una nako before siya moadto sa among Director.... FOLLOW RULES AND REGULATIONS... Aron dili siya ma deport.  Asa man gyud paingon kung daghan na siya ug mali diri daghan na moreklamo niya..

Definitely I have and many.  All my friends, classmates and relatives follow rules and regulations.  And they are very careful in their walks of life there... Here comes a foreigner who will not follow rules and regulations... And is very defensive... and insist not to follow...not to follow...  Our team want to know who are those people in BIR who intervenes of not issuing receipts..... It seems she is guilty... Why will she insist to know me in person so that she will have a wrestling with me????  In front of many people with  shout at me??? How dare she is .....Foreigner of good manners will not do unnecessary things like calling up a person during late at night who is sound asleep and disturb her with shouts on the phone like what she did with my friend... No matter who I am and whatever I am... FOLLOW RULES AND REGULATIONS especially on collecting donations... This is the main issue here....

Grave offense???? What about defaming of the church collecting donations??? Hello???? the church is not the talk of the town here... It is you who keeps on recruiting donors or benefactors without any information for them for the proper protocol to whom they would give the donations.... If your are using yur name as PRO of TBN so you must have to let everybody know that TBN has official receipts for their donations because that is the proper way in which YOU and anyone else there followed..  Have yu tried to ask BIR whether TBN is obliged to issue receipts for the money they collected from donations???? They have to monitor this??? and Who is the person whom you said that TBN may not issue receipts???? Then because our team wants to know because they have instructed all the registered organizations to issue receipts.... All foreigners who are not following Philippine laws are going to be deported... That is my advise for you to go home to your country before a decision will be made for you to be deported...

Wala pa gyud na muabot sa BIR kay gipugugungan sa BOD kay aron paghatag ug chance sa concerned people to submit proper documentations.  Gajama-jama lagi ajo lagi ipa deport... Murag anha gyud diha ipadulong... Gajama-jama... The BOD will make action first before the BIR will intervene... Nag advise ra mi sa among friend to look into the documentation... Kung dili gyud sila ka comply the more nga mudako ang penalties nila... The investigators dili man maka intervene kung walay complain... Ok Ra just join the organization... All are welcome to realize the reality.... Bye...

No apologies will be accepted by law except when sanctions have been served.... Justice should prevail to prevail because God said Come Follow Me and I will give you rest.  Wrong grammar and paragraphing is not the main issue here but for us to Follow Rules and Regulations. For there are law enforcers who will persecute violators....No investigators or intelligence group entertain excuses because of ignorance.... Better for her to apologize to the person whom she called up and disturbed her sleepless nights.....In front of the public....It is a sort of public disturbance.... My friend just be patient, I have talked already to your BOD Members and don't resign to clear up your name... Gipahiran na gani ka nga ikaw sayop wapa ka mo resign... Fight for your right.... This is for th betterment of our country.....Foreigners must go home to their country if they violates the law of the Philippines....  She couldn't understand the intelligence team working out so she must go tho their country to understand it well....   We know why she is still here in th Philippines.... And we know why she reacts so much on the issue of giving receipts....The fines are already there and let the concern work out the documentation of our organization... Ok Have Peace my Friend....

Accounting Practice for Non-Profit Organizations

Source Documents/ Filing -

Each entry should be backed up with folders of documents supporting each transaction. In addition to receipts, payments should be supported by a payment voucher and any other relevant documentation. Payments and receipts should be filed separately. File these documents in date order, the most recent on top. This filing system should make it easy to find the records for any transaction listed in the cashbook.

Provide Receipts for Donors â€"

Always give receipts when you receive any kind of donations. It is best to use the carbon copy kind. This allows the donor to claim their contribution on their tax return, as well as provides you with a record of donations.

Explanation of Accounts -

The accounts included in the spreadsheet are:

•   Bank Account â€" Record deposits, withdrawals, and fees charged
•   Cash â€" Keep track of all cash transactions
•   Donations â€" Monetary support received
•   Non-Cash Donations â€" Estimate the value of clothes, food, etc received
•   Sales â€" Record goods sold at the selling price
•   Cost of Goods Sold â€" Keep track of the cost of and profit made on goods purchased for sale. More on this account below.
•   Advertising â€" Cost of advertising the organization's purpose or an event
•   Bank Fees â€" Record any fees charged by the bank
•   Charitable Contributions â€" Record the transaction when funds are transferred to help your cause (i.e. To a specific school, orphanage, charity)
•   Miscellaneous Expenses â€" One-time expenses not covered under the given accounts
•   Office Supplies â€" Envelopes, staples, paper to print flyers, etc
•   Postage â€" Stamps, delivery expenses
•   Printing Expenses â€" Having material printed for an event, making copies
•   Professional Fees â€" Hiring a consultant, accountant, web page designer, lawyer, etc
•   Other Income â€" Any income that isn't a donation or sale, and that doesn't relate to the mission of the organization. For example, if the organization invests in a mutual fund, the profit from the sale of the stock would be listen under Other Income. Also, if the organization's savings account receives interest, it will be recorded under this account.

Keep in mind that you can tailor the spreadsheets to your own activities and needs. If there is a recurring expense that isn't covered under the given accounts, don't hesitate to create a new account (don't forget to assign an account number to it and add it to the income statement). Likewise, feel free to delete any extraneous accounts that you don't use. Just make sure your records are consistent.

Recording Transactions -

Each transaction, be it receiving a donation, selling cards, or paying a bank fee, must be recorded in order to keep accurate business records. Each entry should be recorded in the general ledger. The general ledger is the core of your records, where every financial transaction is accounted for. It may seem confusing at first, but it's easy once you've made a few entries.

There are two main points to understand when using a general ledger. The first is that the information recorded in the general ledger is used to create an income statement, which is an overall picture of efficiency based on income and expenses for a given time period.

The second issue is that you will always create two entries for any given transaction. For example, if you receive a donation of 2,000 yen:

First, record the donation under Donations (100):

06/29/06           Donation             2,000              Received donation from Mr.X

Then, make an entry under the Cash account, since the cash has not yet been deposited into a bank account.

06/29/06           Donation             2,000              Received donation from Mr.X

When you deposit the money into the organization's bank account, you will again make two seperate entries to record the transaction:

Under Bank Account:

07/02/06           Deposit               2,000               Deposited donation

Then, under Cash, subtract the amount of the deposit, since you no longer have the cash on hand:

07/02/06           Deposit             <2,000>            Deposited donation

Try to keep the explanations as detailed as possible. It's fine to lump several donations together in one entry under Donations, as long as you keep a seperate report detailing the individual transactions.

Paying Out of Pocket

If you pay for an expense out of pocket, for example if you purchased a book of carbon copy receipt templates for 400 yen on July 10th, you would first make an entry in the Donation (100) account:

07/10/06   Donation                   400      Purchased receipts out of pocket

Then, enter the expense under Office Supplies (330):

07/10/06   Receipts             400           Purchased receipts out of pocket

Please see the sample ledger for more examples of recorded transactions.

Cost of Goods Sold

Note: If you are selling cards for Go M.A.D., or any other good you don't have to purchase, ignore the Cost of Goods Sold account! Enter the cash received under the Sales and Cash accounts only.

This may be the most complicated accounting concept you will have to deal with while using this system. If you decide you want to purchase goods, with the intention to sell them at a higher price in order to donate the profit to charity, there are some special entries you will have to record.

First, lets say you purchase 20 greeting cards for 50 yen each, which comes to 1000 yen total cost to you. Record the purchase under Cost of Goods Sold (200):

06/30/06   Purchased Cards   1000      Purchased cards to sell (20 @ 50en/each)

Then, reduce cash, your bank account balance, or increase the donation account (if you paid out of pocket), depending on where the money came from. For example, lets assume you paid using cash you had from donations that you hadn't deposited in the bank yet:

06/30/06   Purchased Cards   1000      Purchased cards to sell (20@ 50en/each)

When you make a sale, you must make 3 entries. Let's say you sold 5 cards for 100 yen each (500 yen received).

First, record the sale in the Sales (101) account:

07/01/06   Sold Cards   500   Sold 5 cards @ 100 yen each

Next, record the cash received in your Cash account:

07/01/06   Sold Cards   500   Sold 5 cards @ 100 yen each

Then, record the reduction of inventory in the Cost of Goods Sold (200) account, using the price you paid, not the selling price:

07/01/06   Sold Cards   250   Sold 5 cards (5 @ 50 yen cost = 250)

Non-cash donations

All non-cash donations, such as food or clothing, should be recorded using their fair market value. Just think of what you would pay for clothes in a second-hand store or how much food costs in the grocery store, and calculate the value of the donation. For example, if you receive a donation of 2 shirts and one pair of pants, a good estimate would be 200 yen for each shirt, and 300 yen for the pair of pants, making for a 700 yen value of the donation. This would be recorded under the Donation (100) account as:

07/17/06   Non-Cash Donation   700    Received 2 shirts (200 yen each) and 1 pair
                                                                       of pants (300 yen)

And then in the Non-Cash Donations account:

07/17/06   Non-Cash Donation   700   Received 2 shirts (200 yen each) and 1 pair
                                                                       of pants (300 yen)
Income statement -

An income statement, otherwise known as a profit and loss statement, is a summary of a company’s profit or loss during any one given period of time, usually over the course of 3 months. You use an income statement to track revenues and expenses so that you can determine the operating performance of your business over a period of time.  Specific items that are causing unexpected expenditures can be pinpointed, such as fees, postage, or supply expenses. Income statements can also track increases or decreases in donations versus money spent on advertising and how much of the donations received makes it into the hands of whoever the organization is trying to help.

Adding Rows to Accounts -

Inevitably, you will need to add rows to the accounts in the general ledger in order to accommodate a higher number of entries than the space provided. The formulas within the spreadsheets automatically calculate the totals of the accounts in the general ledger, as well as column F in the income statement. If you add a row to an account, or add accounts to the income statement, be sure to check that the formulas cover the new perimiter, although the formula should update automatically.

For example, if you click on cell D19 in the general ledger, you will see the formula =SUM(D9:D18) in the white area above the spreadsheet. Now, if you add a row to this account, the cell that displays the total will then be D20, and the formula, when you click on D20, should read =SUM (D9:D19), and will now display the sum of the new range. Update the formula manually if it doesn't update automatically.

Accounting Periods -

You can begin recording entries on any date, as long as you keep consistent time intervals. For example, if you begin recording entries on 06/20/06, you will then create the income statement for the quarter on 9/20/06, or thereabouts.

You should record entries in the general ledger for three months before creating an income statement for the quarter. After the quarterly income statement is finished, do not record any more entries in that quarter's general ledger. Instead, you will need to start a new spreadsheet for the new quarter.

When starting a new ledger, don't forget that the ending balance of Bank Account, Cash, and the Cost of Goods Sold Ending Inventory become the opening balances of those accounts for the next quarter!

Supporter Database -

There is also a spreadsheet dedicated to keeping a record of everyone who has helped support your cause, whether donor or volunteer. This way, you can keep everyone updated on charity events or upcoming projects. But first, be sure they consent to being contacted by your organization.

Tax Exemption Guidelines -

Even if the organization doesn't file taxes, this information is good to keep in mind:

To be tax-exempt, an organization must be organized and operated exclusively for one or more of the purposes set forth (charitable, religious, educational, scientific, literary, testing for public safety, fostering national or international amateur sports competition, and the prevention of cruelty to children or animals) and none of the earnings of the organization may inure to any private shareholder or individual. In addition, it may not attempt to influence legislation as a substantial part of its activities and it may not participate at all in campaign activity for or against political candidates.

The term charitable is used in its generally accepted legal sense and includes relief of the poor, the distressed, or the underprivileged; advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; erection or maintenance of public buildings, monuments, or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening of neighborhood tensions; elimination of prejudice and discrimination; defense of human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.

Henares clarifies issuance of receipts
July 27, 2010, 5:56pm

Commissioner Kim S. Jacinto Henares of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) said on Tuesday her instructions to market vendors and operators of small businesses to issue receipts to their customers does not mean that they will be required later to pay income and business taxes.

The BIR chief issued the clarification to allay fears expressed by small traders that the invoicing requirements are a prelude to the imposition of taxes by the government. She said she is aware of existing laws exempting marginal traders from paying taxes, obviously referring to Revenue Regulations No. 11-2000 signed by then Finance Secretary Jose Pardo and BIR Commissioner Dakila Fonacier.

Henares said she came out with the invoicing directive to monitor earnings of these lowly enterpreneurs, earnings that may grow later that would be subject to taxation. She said it is part of a bigger program of exploring all possible sources of revenues to meet this year's P860-billion collection goal.

“Big and small taxpayers are required by law to pay taxes,” she said. (Jun Ramirez)

Raquel dili sila mo audit kay ang organization  submits  audited financial statements....  The financial statements will be signed by a Certified Public Accountant.... What shall the accountant tell you is to issue receipts and vouchers for proper accounting procedures... Hello ..... Common sense TBN atong concern which needs to submit audited financial statements to BIR but they have not done it due to negative attitude of the Achorman.... The negative attitude should not be tolerated... That is why there are plenty of tax evaders in our country because we citizens don't dare to cooperate the laws especially on the issuance of receipts....

If you feel that the money you have given to your mom is subject for auditing of a third party then you let your mom sign that she received it.  It is in a form of voucher for the auditing purposes... Basin diay ug ang sud-an imong gipapalit para sa reunion ninyo and it is contributed by a group of your relatives wherein your relatives might audit you.... or even your wife might audit you where your money goes..  Philosophy sometimes will go back to you.... What is really the purpose of your money given out??? Receipts and disbursements is management of cash.. If you don't know how to manage your cash then chaos might come and go.... Churches are audited.... Yes they are audited for sure..... The Parish Pastoral Council are doing that job....

COMMISSION ON AUDIT HAS NO TASK OF MONITORING THE FINANCIAL AUDITING OF THE NON-PROFIT NON-STOCK ORGANIZATION FOR YOUR CLARIFICATION.... It is the BIR and SEC concerning receipts and disbursements of these organizations.  Hey fellowmen issuance of receipts is the biggest campaign of BIR.. Please help our government by inquiring official receipts when you give money to anyone else. Even though it might be in kind or in cash.....

Am just back because I was off from my duty of investigating this.  the practice of receipts should be implemented to have a trial balance of the cash in and cash out.... How could the audit be if it is only signed but no copy for audit and receipts were not issued.  How could the auditor check it out is it only on the outgoing list?????? Before you the Government agencies will send this court the concerned organizations should submit audited financial statements.... To clarify where does the collection reflects????? And who would pay the penalties????? pagka thrilling nila??? Should the group sacrifice that the group have made efforts but sacrificed due to negative attitudes of people who does not want to have audited.  Once you are holding money from public you are subject for audit bisan asa man gyud na..... Bisan sa dajong sa baryo naa gyud na klarong balansi ug mga pirmahanay sa modawat sa kwarta....

correct very very correct scarb... I really want that sharing of yours so that the people in the philippines how taxes are paid out outside our countries.  here sayon2x lang panikas sa mga business operators... If DYRD then is trusting Gerry Pabe handling the money without receipts and vouchers then they are practicing that maybe wihtout clear financial statements... since they are not used to isuance of receipts.  All sponsors should ask for receipts so that the amount they have paid will be reflected on the books of accounts of DYRD... but these donations I don't know... even though we trust them there should be proper documentations for auditing puroses... Mao gyud na dapat... Dili kay masuko tag naay mag audit kay hilabtanon daw............Wherever business is and wherever money is involved there should be auditing for documentaion....the persons handling money should not get angry and dictate whatsoever what the auditor will do......

I could send you the link after this
http://tubagbohol.mikeligalig.com/talk-of-the-town/nice-to-see-nice-to-hear-that-things-are-going-in-the-right-direction/ try to link that or search that topic in tubag bohol it is that issue which I printed and gave it to the secretary that made all BOD members surprised because they were made to believe that the TBN Ireland IS THE MONEY OF GERRY PABE GIVEN BY HIS DAUGHTER IN IRELAND.... The General Manager called up the anchorman but he never appeared and it made the General Manager to arrange a meeting wherein mr Gerry Pabe will be present.  But until now it is still a problem hanging around.....

It is none of those positions that you have mentioned who will be fined.  It is merely the group... But the secretary knows the guidelines and she was entrusted to do the jotting down of the donors and benefactors and the recipients.  She is also the one who transact for donations from the government officials in the province... It was for this reason that they were applying for issuance of receipts since they were required by the Provincial Treasurer.  When the BIR approved their application for issuance of receipts she requested the Anchorman to issue receipts of the benefactors entrusting him the money.. There was a negative attitude from the anchorman... Here then is the problem... when audited as I have said the statements uttered... DO NOT INCLUDE THIS BECAUSE THIS IS THE MONEY OF MY DAUGHTER.... And then after all it is a collection of several people from abroad... KASABOT KA/////

It is better to investigate rather than to tolerate because it will be done by many taking advantage of the generous people.  This is what citizens should watch  THE PROFESSIONAL  BEGGARS!!!!!!!
