Magnificat
Mary’s Song of Praise
Mary’s Magnificat praises God, especially for his care for the humble and downtrodden. The sign of the Messiah’s coming is the restoration of justice on the earth: The poor and lowly are lifted up and the hungry are fed. God keeps his promises and shows mercy to all people. Read Mary’s song, and think about how it applies to your life.

Our Pinoy priests are so concerned that our western ways are not abiding with the rules of the church. For example, Pinays married to divorced men or Pinays not married in the catholic church goes to communion.  This is not allowed. This is the painful part where you can not partake at the table. Young ladies taking pills, men are sterilised (vasectomy).  They tell us the clear line.
We are reminded from time to time that life is kapit sa patalim, and that no man is an island.

During my younger years  (kining akong lawas mo ovulate pa), if i smell a sweaty body of a man it turns me on so much that I get wet. During sex I love the smell of the armpit and all those natural odors of the body and the salty taste.  Men don´t worry about those expensive men´s cologne or after shave. It doesn´t serve its purpose of attracting the opposite gender.

I will express my opinion;

Before I left  Pinas  Dec 1980, I was working under Reg Computer Center Davo City, under Natonal Computer Center. All government data are computerized. They are stored and blueprinted. Any complains are attended and data can be retrieve if demanded. Completo ang records. If all papers are presented for your claims I don´t see any reason you won´t get the money that belongs to you. It is a hard earned money.  Please don´t  underestimate a government employee. They are dedicated people. Try to look where the loopholes are. It can be a missed documents, also keep yourself updated with new rules and regulations. Innocence of the law excuses no one.

 Seeman´s Sculpture- Auseinandersetzung ( Argument)

One of the biggest eye-catchers in the old town, the sculpture of two fighting men (known, in the jargon, as "cocks") in the middle of the pedestrian shopping zone is guaranteed to raise a smile. The sculptor, Karl-Henning Seeman, said that his aim was not just to create a work of art that people could touch, but also make something that everyone would talk about.

Such joy in today’s readings! The Bride of the Song of Songs praises the Bridegroom, her Beloved. In the Gospel, Mary’s arrival at Elizabeth’s home causes John to leap in Elizabeth’s womb, and both women praise God for His goodness. Have you ever been so overcome with joy, you could hardly contain yourself?

There was also a professional ski contest. The city put some artificial snow on the path along the Rhine river.

Universities in Germany are using E-chalks,
The electronic chalkboard combines all the advantages of a traditional chalkboard with the functionality of a modern distance education tool. The lecturer writes on the electronic board, seamlessly integrating pictures and interactive programs from the web. Both can be loaded directly from the harddisk or the Internet. E-Chalk also includes algebraic formula manipulation, together with function plotting via handwriting recognition. The lecture can be followed at the lecture room or remotely through the web. Only a browser is needed to receive the audio, video, and the board image. All lectures are stored on a server for viewing on demand. E-Chalk also generates a printable version of the board (PDF) so that students do not have to copy the board content any more.
Advantages of the system

The chalkboard has proven to be a superior teaching tool over the years. Its contrast is good, even in large lecture rooms. The lecturer has to think aloud while writing on the board. So the students have enough time to understand an idea or formula, ask questions and reflect on the contents of the lecture. Using slides, the lecturer tends to proceed too fast and overwhelms the students. E-chalk is therefore just a chalkboard, but a state of the art one, that combines the traditional advantages of chalk with the interactivity of distance eduation software.

If this happens to you, please note the name of the immigration official tending on you. Date, time of arrival, name of flight. I think if this is properly documented, we could file complains about this kind of irregularities. We can publicize  it in blogs, Dept of Foreign affairs website, and to  the administrator of the said airport. I know that the immigrations has to put a clean face of enhance more tourist here and also to serve Pinoys coming in and out as modern heroes.
As long as you have correct papers/visa, updated passport and the like no airport officials has the right to treat you improperly.  Talk to him/her direct to the eyes to show that we are not  a second class citizens.  Good luck all travelers.

Belle/and friends  try to come on 2014 to Aachen because of the Heiligtum European Pilgrimage Site

This urban development had been augmented not only by the abundant water resources of the Aachen Basin, commerce in textiles and the working of brass and copper, but above all by the European pilgrimages to Aachen’s renowned sacred relics: the robe of Mary, the swaddling clothes and loincloth of Jesus, and the decapitation cloth of John the Baptist. This display of sacred objects from Charlemagne’s treasury of relics made Aachen a cynosure for pilgrims: they came primarily from the Balkans - Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia - but also from Poland and Bohemia, as well as the North Sea and Baltic regions. Aachen developed into the most important pilgrims’ shrine north of the Alps, and was frequently also used as a collecting-point or stopping-place en route to Santiago di Compostela. From the time of the great mid-fourteenth century plague, the solemn exhibition of the costly relics was carried out in prescribed sequence and repeated every seven years (cf the ‘Aachen Sabbath Year’). In the interim, the objects of veneration were kept in the Shrine of Our Lady, a masterpiece crafted in 1238 by Aachen’s goldsmiths.

I was able to see this last year. This event is every 7 years. You could see the materials morag katsa, you could reflect their humble apparel, and our present ways.

December 19, 2008, 11:35:56 PM
The Müngsten Bridge is the highest steel railroad bridge in Germany. The bridge is 107 metres (350 ft) high and spans the valley of the river Wupper, connecting the cities of Remscheid and Solingen. This stretch is part of railroad route nr. 458 between Wuppertal and Solingen, used exclusive by line RB 47, aka "the Muengstener". Originally the building was named Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke (Emperor Wilhelm Bridge) to honour Emperor Wilhelm I. After the end of the monarchy the bridge was named after the close settlement Müngsten, which is close to the city limits of Solingen, Remscheid and Wuppertal. Today, the settlement no longer exists, so Müngsten is simply a landmark.

By David Jackson, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON â€" President Bush may have been amused by the shoe-throwing incident in Iraq, but first lady Laura Bush was not.
"As a wife, I saw it as an assault, and that's what it was," she told USA TODAY during an interview at the White House on Thursday. "So I didn't laugh it off."

A month before returning to private life, Bush said she will continue her public advocacy of women's rights in Afghanistan and democracy for Burma. A self-described "ambassador" for her husband's policies over the past eight years, Bush praised her husband's record in Iraq and Afghanistan. She said she will be an active defender of those actions "because they are worth defending."

"Fifty million people are free from tyranny because of the United States, because of my husband's policies," Bush said. "These are very, very important, world-changing happenings, and they're for the best."

On Iraq, she said, "Do people really wish Saddam Hussein were still there? I don't think so."

Do you ever feel like you’ve “lost your fire or enthusiasm?”
We all have times when we feel overwhelmed by the pressures of life, but that’s when we need to stir up what God has placed on the inside of us.  Remember, there are no disadvantages with our God.  You have everything you need to succeed.  No weapon formed against you is ever going to prosper; you just have to stir up the gift inside.  How do you stir it up? By speaking God’s truth and meditating on His word.

To give you a better grasp of the significance of the balanghai in the history of Caraga and the Philippines, hereunder the words of Ms. Margarita R. Cembrano, the curator of National Museum in Butuan:

A large boat used by Malay settlers of the Philippines in prehispanic times. The vessel was about eighteen meters in length. Such a vessel would carry a small clan or a large family.
Retrieved from "http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/balanghai"

... In late 1976, Butuan Boat 1 was discovered near the east bank of the Libertad River. Then in 1977, Boat 2 was found about a kilometer southwest of the first site. All in all, eleven boats were identified at four different open sites (named after the land owners Luna, Toro-Toro, and Fortun and the Shrine Museum). The National Museum excavated and conserved three boats (Boat 1 in 1976, Boat 2 in 1978, and Boat 5 in 1986), despite the furious commercial digging activities for imported ceramics in the mid 1970s and later for processed gold.

Before these discoveries nothing was known about the ancient Philippine boats. The series of Butuan boat archeological excavations contibuted much to the fundamental knowledge about the tradition of boat construction and clarified basic time perspective on the cultures of the ethnic groups of the region....

The radiocarbon (C-14) tests on the three boats (numbered according to the order of their discovery) gave the following results (radiocarbon dates are suggestive rather then conclusive):

Boat 1 1630+-110 years 320 AD
Boat 2  700+-790 years 1250 AD
Boat 5   900+-70 years 900AD

The Butuan Boat, just like the contemporary Badjaw/Sama Laut's Lepa boat, and the barangay boat described in the seventeenth century AD by the Spanish Friar Francisco Alcina in his study of the Eastern Visayas (Samar/Leyte area) material culture, are built in a lashed lug technique. The elements of this boat building tradition are believed to be of Southeast Asian in origin, though there are parallels in Oceania and the Indian Ocean, too. The technique of edge-joining with hardwood spikes is also a tradition in Southeast Asia. Throughout Southeast Asia and the world, it is only in the Philippines where a flotilla of such prehistoric wooden boats are known to exist.
Source: Patterns of the Past: The Ethno Archaeology of Butuan
             by Margarita R. Cembrano
......................................................................................

The Eskaya people are the descendants of of the Balanghai who landed in Butuan/Caraga region. There are scholars and national historians who are working extensively on this part of history.
I will try to reach Mr Vic de Jesus, Bol-anon ang kaginan, history graduate UP and grew up in Butuan City. I did not dare to say much since this has lots of inconclusions and they still refuted the fact the it was not Limasawa where the first spanish landed, it was here in Butuan area.

We are eligible for 30 paid holidays, so you see, if you are frugal enough you could really have a vacation. We have strong labor unions, if inflation rises, there will be warn strikes to ask for raise. It might sound utopic but the standard of living is really high.

When we look at the wonder of creation, it is apparent that God is a good gardener Taking care of creation is a moral obligation for us.  Our care for plants, animals and one another reflects our cooperation with the will of God.

In what practical ways can I protect creation?

Joseph’s Doubts Dispelled

In today’s Gospel, Joseph is told in a dream that the baby Mary is carrying is the Messiah. His doubts and fears are dissolved in new-found faith. Have you ever been told something so incredible that you were unable to believe at first? How did you come to believe it?

Mike thanks for this tip.

The space where Agora is locared has a very high commercial value. It is an excellent idea to have some park in the middle of Tagbilaran.
We need a very good city planning to avoid congestion, traffic jams, mahadlok ka mobaktas kay basin ka ma side sweep.
Is there still room for improvements? what are the  beautification policies of the present elected politicians?

That would never happen in Europe especially Germany. Everyone is clamoring to lessen taxes to improve the purchasing power but our lady Chancellor Angie Merkel is not subscribing to this idea. She had her own tactics.

Have you ever thought about something you wanted or needed, and suddenly that need was suppliedâ€"before you ever even stopped to pray about it?  God knows your needs before you even speak them.  He wants to provide for you and answer the very desires of your heart.  When you put Him first in everything you do, when you faithfully follow His commands, He’ll pour out an extra portion of His goodness and favor upon you.
God is Great!

Sayang Oliver, nga wala ta mag abot ug uli. I got  lots of friends and a payag in Tagbi. We can visit Guindulman ug adto sa Este, Anda Mabini, Candijay labi na sa Ubay. Mao kini ang rice granary sa Bohol. Adunay Phil Carabao Center, unya dali ra itabok sa Leyte.
The most exciting is visiting Siargao with its famous waves. This is the hottest tip in Europe for surfers.
Or bird watching in Cebu, Ask Alfonso Potane,I assume this guy is down to earth.
Good luck.

Muntadhar al-Zaidi
Shouting as he was dragged to the floor, the reporter called his shoe-throwing -- a traditional insult in Arab culture -- a "farewell kiss" to a "dog" who launched the 2003 invasion of Iraq. He was arrested and alledgely mishandled.

Al-Baghdadia reported Tuesday al-Zaidi called one of his brothers and said he was in the custody of judicial authorities and will appear Wednesday in Baghdad's Central Criminal Court. He asked his defense team to meet him there, the network said.

Presence in the Midst of Crisis

Of all times for the financial health of the world to end up in Intensive Careâ€"just as the holidays entice us to splurge, to buy a little beyond ourselves because gift-buying and gift-giving are expressions of care, appreciation, even remembrance. We bake richer foods at Christmastime. And wrap things in shinier paper. And we like to spend a little more, just because this time is special. It is a time for feasting and lingering. It is a time for extravagance.

There is some justification for extravagance at this time of year. We are celebrating the love of an extravagant God. The Christ Child is the ultimate gift. God’s love is lavish, overflowing. God did not hold back from us, in sending Jesus, the son of God. In that birth we were given God’s very self.

And so, this year in which money is especially the focus of stress and strategy, perhaps we should think in terms of giving the self instead of stuff. God gave God’s self in fairly plain wrappingâ€"the infant of two pilgrims with limited resources. No fine blankets or silky bassinet for Jesus. No huge basket of Ghirardelli’s chocolate treats for his parents. But the presence of that child was so rich and fine that poor shepherds, great intellects from far countries, a pious widow and an old prophet were all drawn to him with tears and joy.

What kind of presence am I to those I love? If I can’t give a hefty gift certificate or even a nice set of bathroom towels this year, how can I be more present to that person for whom I’ve been willing to pull out an overextended credit card in years past? If I can offer no great cash value, then what is left? My stories? My welcome? My precious time for a phone conversation? My visit that lasts longer than it takes to exchange wrapped boxes?

This has been a stressful autumn for my husband and me. Unemployment, then underemployment, then major house repairs, and family too far away to travel to easily. And what we are discovering is that, to come home in the evening and eat a simple meal together, to give a long hug and a word of encouragement, to spend a little more time with our dogs and cats doing nothing but petting and cooingâ€"all of that is lavish enough for us. There will be no expensive dining out this year, no big party thrown for friends. There will be cooking together in the kitchen, looking for the best price on clementines. There will be one trip to a family wedding and brief stops at other relatives on the way back. On each stop we will enter the home and be there with smaller gifts but a bigger sense of usâ€"us coming in the door, giving hugs, having a relaxed conversation, enjoying the presence of those we don’t get to see very often.

We tend to forget, don’t we, that God’s presence is enough. God’s grace is sufficient. We forget that and follow after the big pay-off, the nicer car, the gadget that will make life more convenient, the vacation that will be more romantic and exotic than all the others. We hanker after finer and pricier presents, when the only answer to our real desire is that awesome Presence.

This Christmas seems like a great time to spend more time in that Presence. And more time exploring the power and wonder of our own presence with others.

Historical Stadthalle Wuppertal

A star attraction overlooking the town The Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal, one of the most remarkable concert
halls and conference centres in Europe and a member of the Historic Con-
ference Centres of Europe (HCCE), looks down over the town from a green
hillside. There is nowhere else quite like it in Germany.

It was built in 1900 in the magnificent, opulent style characteristic
of the period of Emperor William II and reopened in 1995 after masterly
renovation, with the result that its original splendour and unique acoustics
are now combined with state-of-the-art technical equipment.

Take a look at the sheer beauty and numerous possibilities offered
by this marvellous building. Welcome.
