and to think that it was constructed with the best engineers and architects in the world up front. by the way, i read some years back that dubai urban planners (most of whom are british) went to bohol to consult with local government officials. is this panglao island reclamation an offshoot of such consultation?

Very nice design, Islander. I have a friend in Thailand who makes candles as a hobby. Now she is exporting candles to Europe and America. Candles make her a millionaire.

Hello Everyone,
Here's the posting on why TubagBohol was inaccessible yesterday: http://tubagbohol.mikeligalig.com/forumhelp/tubag-bohol-outage-march-14-2011-and-images-not-showing-up/
I'm still thinking how we can further polish our site's face.
For now, bye-bye to the "somber" skin of TB.

After all, the word looks like it can be divided into syllables that are parts of Cebuano words...

tinuig gyod diay? my goodness and badness... no wonder new orleans is popular. more than its music, hardy people man diay ang naa dinha.
my own misty water-colored memory of two songs that mention your place's name: 'house of the rising sun' (there is a house in new orleans/ they call the rising sun...); 'niki hoeki' (way down louisiana/ down in pidgin land/ folks got somethin'/ don't do somethin' like niki hoeki patusi). wa gyod hinoon ko kasabot aning ikaduhang kanta fr chic. all i'm sure of is that my father loved its beat because it's danceable.

postscript: i'm in no mood to unpack my emergency pack any time soon. my biorhythm has drastically changed for the worse. the kitten that we brought along is naughtier.
lesson: always have a packed and ready emergency bag or survival bag or whatever it is called. i thought only of cash and jewelry and our cats when i packed. i missed passports and official documents and a change of clothes. now i have all this in one bag.
i have to admit that i couldn't shoo away my fears overnight. i just have to heal slowly and patiently wait for my system to take its course and go back to what it was, whatever it was.

i was saddened by the thought that we couldn't take all our cats along. more so those 11 homeless ones who were already at the balcony, waiting for feeding time. close to tears, i decided to take along only the smallest and sickliest one so i didn't have to go through the grisly process of selecting favorites. i had to fortify myself to be able to function.
let me come back and find you here, i told our cats as i put off the lights.

presently i'm in a place that the creator has placed like a jewel in the pacific rim.
japan had that current tragedy of a tremblor and, like some parts of the philippines and other countries in the pacific rim, this here was placed on full tsunami alert.
we were unaware of it but for a german friend we met at the grocery store after my visit to the cat shelter. then we got home and saw our landlady preparing to go to higher ground. she, too, told us about the tsunami alert.
we happen to live in a house where i can see mangroves and the sea from the kitchen sink window, the sea being just some twenty meters away.
