The news I have to report is good.
I made an announcement that anchorman Gerry Pabe was on his way into the meeting. He went to the meeting and cleared up any miss-communications amongst the board members on how the donations are being kept track of at DYRD and Chronicle outlet.
Everyone who was having bad feelings amongst ourselves as a group were out in the open many apologies and even a hug were given to the secretary from both Pabe and me....
I was asked to give the closing prayer and closed it with words coming from my heart and the real spirit of God and his son Christ and with that the meeting ended on a very high and positive note.....
Merry Christmas everyone!
THE END!

There is beauty in revelation, dear. It releases the burden of the heart...
Belle, you are right, no one can really ever understand how another person feels, or how painful a life experience was for them.
Just know that we care, and that we are here for you.
Always,

Yes, yes and yes! I love the smell. I love the smell of freshly picked humay. I love the feel of walking in the basak, talking to the caretakers, and just overseeing the work. There is an unexplainable sense of contentedness in farming. It's just a natural feeling.
The smell of the fresh air in Valencia and the cool breeze when i drove up to barangay anas , barangay manga. Its truly different from the hot smog and the smell of polluted air in Tagbilaran.
And the countless times I've sat on the banks of Valencia to witness the picturesque sunsets...
mingawon...
Puhon dong Bran... you'll come back to basak.. hehe.. puhon

The greatest insult , the greatest insult to injury,
is an ingrate, an unrepentant lover, a morbid soul
But even so, you have to be the better person,
to rise above the stressor, the wall in your life, is an absolution and a must
For you see, there is no such thing as a perfect life
there is no such thing as a proof to all problems, but there is this:
Life goes on, after a fall, there is a rise, there is no permanent suffering
Let your beautiful brown eyes dry the tears, let your smile show itself to the world
For a beautiful soul like you, does deserve to be crowned with adoration with a kind, assertive lover
So smile, so dance, so continue to laugh, continue to look for better days
For there will be more sunrises, more sunsets....
With a whisper,
Lorenz

Belle, sweetheart,
Just know that there are always ups and downs in life, and that its perfectly, perfectly normal to feel these emotions. Everyone goes through these feelings, I don't know what you've been through, and only you have felt the pain that you have felt. No one can really ever understand these personal painful moments.
I can say that I had the feeling of total sadness when I lost my best friend 3 years ago because of his unexpected death. Coping with his death, was an ordeal. But thanks to good friends, a strong support group, and a personal relationship with God--allowed me to cope with it and buffer the stressor event.
So I empathize with your situation. And remember, always continue to share with us your written thoughts.
Truly,
Love,
Bran Lorenz
PS. You are too beautiful to stay feeling down. So, please, smile...
but really I'm a positive person , I'm ok... I can't tell JK... he's too young and it's not good telling him. I could say you're a beautiful person with a kind heart
I can't tell you all those painful moments I've been through... lots and lots of it... and most of them I've conquered... it's just this new pain but I'm almost through, been trying to connect to the world again
Quote from: Lorenzo on October 29, 2010, 11:06:21 AM
My dear,
There are stressors in life, which are environmental demands, that can affect our psychological defenses as well as our physical limitations that can lead to a reclusive situation (some individuals can even hide this by supposed extrovert activity). In fact, it is quite evident that stressful situations , and an increase in stressors can pose a risk for the development of anxiety, depression and the manifestation of mental disorders. However, we can best study how one can buffer himself/herself from this with the use of coping mechanisms; central to this is the presence of social support groups (family, friends, therapy) and positive personal control.
There is no such thing as an 'unaffected' individual; as all humans cope with stressful situations, and in what you refer to as being 'living dead'. Devoid of feelings, and numbness to external environment is symptom of depression, which is an effect due to a stressful situation and or a pathology in one's endocrinal pathways.
There is nothing wrong in sharing these kinds of thoughts, nor should one be ashamed of it, as it allows one to identify the source of such stress, and can lead to the development of proper coping mechanisms to buffer against the stressor.
With a hug,
Lorenz.
I have a great God whom I tell all my acheus echlavush.. hehehe) I'm surviving... I've also meet with a councilor... In a positive way I released stress... I refused to dwell on hurts... and all that echlavush ( though I confronted pain for a period of time, but that's all, I'm moving)... writing those is my way of expressing them... hehehe... Thanks really dear Bran.. I'm OK

Life is filled with memories in mind
To open the bottle hurts the heart
To close it again, leaves one thinking
Memories stick despite trying to forget it
So refuse it not now let it flow
Let the pain throb, let the joy flow
For in these do we experience life.

naa man pood mi ug gagmayng hacienda sa Valencia hehe, not 50 hectares, pero quite sizeable pood. When I visited Valencia, i went there to visit my lolo's basaks as well as my parents' basaks. Fertile green. Talking to our caretakers and seeing the carabao(s) that tilled our farm. hehe.
The best part is visiting the basak early in the morning, just before the sunrise. Fresh humay from Valencia is one of the best.
I exceptionally enjoyed being with the farmers, only because i used to plant rice with my grandfather and my grand-uncles when i was younger. So the memory of being there was richly ingrained in my mind, and being there walking there was enjoyable. Talking to the farmers, and listening to them. At the time I visited, there was a dry season (early july) but by the second time i visited (late july), the rains had come and had filled our rice land with life-giving rain. It was amazing seeing everyone planting the rice, and the stories being overheard. I did not even know those people but they knew me, my lolo, and my parents. And how their grand parents knew my lolo's grand parents etc. Humbling experience.
Many times they would tell me not to plant rice kai 'luoy pood ka sir', ingoon pood ko balik, 'dili oy, kamo may luoy kalingaw mo trabajo sa basak nga init kaajo. mo testing lang gud ko unsa man ning kinabuhi sa basak...' katawa sila , katawa pood ko. so i experienced life as a basak farmer for that short time. working with our caretakers.
I loved it there.

How I made money when I was a kid? Let me count the ways
3-5 years old: Mokanta sa balay sa akong ig-agaw kon naa siyay bisita; mopatong sa lamesa
6-11 years old: Manglampaso sa health center ug sa balay sa akong apohan
6-8 years old: Mouban sa akong maguwang lalaki mag limpya-bota didto sa public market kon Sunday, bahinan kay tig-brush man
7-8 years old: Mamupu og ukban/sunkist (usa lang ka punuan sa yuta sa akong apohan), ibaligya sa Central
7-10 years old: Magpundok og bato aron ibaligya sa magtukod og balay; tag diez centavos ang taro
7-16 years old: Mamuwak og lubi ibaligya; mangawat og itlog sa among pugaran, ibaligya - both aron makapalit og sud-an or school supplies
9-10 years old: Mamaligya og pulvoron hinimo sa akong igsoong babaye gamit ang powdered milk nga hinatag sa USAID ngadto sa health center
10-11 years old: Maoy mokuha sa nutri-bun sa school bakery aron ma-ako ang free nga usa ka bun, unya akong ibaligya tag diez centavos
11-13 years old: Mokuot sa bulsa sa akong tatay nga gibitay sa kwarto; kawaton ang sensilyo
12 years old: Maghatud sa malagkit sa among silingan ngadto sa merkado kada sayo sa buntag
12-13 years old: Manguha og balimbing sa way tag-iya (abi nako, kay wa may nanguha kay salipod sa kasagingan), ipabaligya sa akong manghod
11-13 years old: Manaygon solo, kay kon paubanon ang uban, ako ra man gihapon ang pakantahon
12-15 years old: Mag-drawing og outline sa pagborda, ibaligya sa female classmate nga dili makamao mo-drawing (school project)
12-16 years old: Mo-assist sa cousin in law during summer inventory of books, laboratory equipment, etc sa public schools
12-15 years old: Mag-drawing sa mga visual aids sa akong cousin nga public school teacher
13-16 years old: Mo serve as acolyte, ang sweldo mag depende kon ordinary or canta misa, novena or requiem

14-16 years old: Mo-apil sa mga amateur singing contest aron makapremyo
... ug daghan pa, para lang gyud makakwarta. I believe poverty triggers creativity.

Quote from: Lorenzo on October 27, 2010, 12:08:02 PM
This poem was written by an old woman living in a nursing home in
Ireland. It was found among her things when she died.
What do you see nurses, what do you see?
Are you thinking when you look at me?
A crabbit old woman, not very wise,
Uncertain of habit, with far away eyes,
Who dribbles her food and makes no reply
When you say in a loud voice- "I do wish you'd try."
And forever is losing a sock or a shoe.
Who unresisting or not, lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding, the long day to fill.
Is that what you think, is that what you see?
Open your eyes, nurse, you're not looking at me.
I'll tell you who I am, as I sit here so still,
As I use at your bidding, and eat at your will,
I'm a small child of ten, with a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters who loved one another,
A young girl of 16, with wings on her feet,
Dreaming that soon now a lover she'll meet.
A bride soon at 20, my heart give a leap.
Remembering the vows that I promised to keep.
At 25 now, I have young of my own,
Who need me to build a secure, happy home.
A women of 30, my young now grow so fast,
Bound to each other with ties that should last.
At 40, my young sons have grown and are gone,
But my man's beside me to see I don't mourn.
At 50 once more, babies play round my knee,
Again we know children, my loved one and me.
Dark days are upon me, my husband is dead.
I look at the future and shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing young of their own,
And I think of the years and the love that I've known,
I'm and old women now and nature is cruel,
Tis her jest to make old age look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles, grace and vigor depart.
There is now a stone where I once had a heart.
But inside this old carcass a young girl still dwells,
And now and again, my battered heart swells,
I remember the joys and I remember the pain,
And I'm living and loving life over again,
I think of the years all too few- gone too fast,
And accept the stark fact that nothing can last.
Open your eyes, nurse open and see.
Not an empty old women, look closer- see ME.

there , then, your smile that lighteth my heart, shall ever be
within the bosom of my heart
Byron and Shelley used to talk about solitude,
nay, there is no comfort in such talk,
for only in union with thee, my heart is beckoned to joy
So, let it be
So, let it sing
If I painted the stars for you,
would I get a reward?
A kiss or two?
Must I really ask..

I once knew a man who knew the melody of the thumping heart,
ye, before he saw the brilliance of a simple smile
Ye, but he did see such a smile,
The thumping of his old heart changed
The resonating sound of a gallop replaced the former
Can you imagine a heart, a heart that gallops
Nay, not tachycardia,
Nay, not hyperthyroidism,
Nay, not pathology
But, my darling, the sweet sound of Melody
The sound that is heard only by the man
in
adoring love
Do you hear it?

Nindot pud and treehouses sa Korowai...
The Korowai, also called the Kolufo, are a people of southeastern Papua (i.e., the southeastern part of the western part of New Guinea). They number about 3,000. Until 1970, they were unaware of the existence of any people besides themselves...
The distinctive high stilt architecture of the Korowai houses, well above flood-water levels, is a form of defensive fortification- to disrupt rival clans from capturing people (especially women and children) for slavery or cannibalism. The height and girth of the common ironwood stilts also serves to protect the house from arson attacks in which huts are set alight and the inhabitants smoked out.
