DO NOT BITE OFF MORE THAN YOU CAN CHEW.

We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable of carrying out. This is done to satisfy our ego. Know your limitations. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries? You cannot gain peace of mind by expanding your external activities. Reduce your material engagements and spend time in prayer, introspection and meditation. This will reduce those thoughts in your mind that make you restless. Uncluttered mind will produce greater peace of mind.

Sakto diay ning akong gibuhat nga mobalibad kon hatagan og trabahoon...  8)

MANILA, Philippines -- Woo the mother and abuse the child.

This is the new modus operandi of pedophiles who have been targeting Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, as their area of operation, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) has warned.

“The child molesters usually meet the mothers, sometimes even the grandmothers, of possible victims online and make them their girlfriends,” BI Commissioner Marcelino Libanan told the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Monday.

The women usually let the economically better-off foreigners into their lives and their homes, not knowing that the men would later pounce on their young daughters or sons.

Libanan said that the British government earlier this year asked the bureau for assistance in apprehending pedophiles possibly hiding in the country.

“The United Kingdom alone has 30,000 recorded convicted pedophiles,” the BI chief said.

Five suspected pedophiles, all British nationals, were the focus of the bureau's intensive manhunt last May, Libanan said.

Libanan identified the Britons as Kriss McCord, Barry Raymond Edwards, Robert Donaghy, Desmond Graham Kelly and Paul Francis Gadd.

“All five suspects are wanted here and abroad for sexually abusing and molesting children,” he said in a statement.

Libanan also asked the public to help the bureau locate the fugitives. He said informants could call the bureau’s 24-hour hotline at tel. no. 524-37-69 (for Metro Manila) and toll-free 1-800-100-ALIENS or 2542 67 (outside Metro Manila).

“I have already issued the mission orders for their arrest,” Libanan said, adding that the foreigners were all believed to be hiding in the provinces.

The BI chief also welcomed earlier reports of a possible extradition treaty being forged between the Philippines and Great Britain. He said the pact would boost efforts in hunting down and apprehending the pedophiles.

BI records showed that the bureau already arrested and deported five suspected foreign pedophiles since late 2007

Two of the sex offenders, Frederick Dipasquale and Reynaldo Estillore, are US nationals wanted for molesting children in their home country.

Masaichi Suzuki, a Japanese national, was also apprehended by BI operatives for operating a nightclub in Ermita, Manila, where young Filipino girls employed as guest relations officers were allegedly forced into prostitution.

Another Japanese suspected pedophile, Yukitoshi Matsushita, was deported last January after serving his sentence for raping an eight-month-old girl in Parañaque City more than six years ago.

The bureau also deported Rudolf Keikut, a suspected German pedophile, for sexually molesting his adopted daughter.

9. Boring is bad.
The problem with this so-called rule, says Bartlein, is when couples confuse a calm, predictable union with a bad one. A drama-filled relationship may feel exciting, but in the long run it’s not likely to be healthy. Isn’t it better, she says, to “boringly” know where your spouse is every night than to be “excited” by constant ups and downs? “Better to have a safe, relaxed, ‘boring’ life together in the everyday. You can always inject excitement with vacations and activities.”

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

Too late...   :-\

"We eat for living, not live for eating". Indeed, we need food to ensure our daily survival, health and functioning. But there are, this is what psychologists say, at least other six reasons that make us get fatter and fatter. Fortunately, knowing and admitting them helps us in turning them ineffective.

1.Individuals that eat for pleasure. These are the so-called real gourmands. Their sense must be stimulated by various flavors and scents of the different foods. These individuals do not have to change food habits. Their attitude regarding food is the right one. If they grow fat, they should give up fats and carbohydrates and eat more fruits and green vegetables.

2.There are people who eat as a remedy against boredom. This is the most difficult type to fight with. They must make a change in their way of thinking and recognize that boredom is not such a terrible thing, but something that determines the brain to rest.

3.Some persons employ food as a substitute for sex/love. This type of behavior affects especially women. Those experiencing this should practice their self-esteem and discover their resources, virtues and skills.

4.One category is made up of those using food as reward. These persons must think of other things as well. They need tasks that could offer them entertainment on a short term: an aromatic bath, a phone conversation with a friend, watching a movie, reading and so on.

5.There are people eating as a remedy against the stress. For this category it is also essential to look for alternative activities with a similar function, like yoga or the physical closeness to his/her partner.

6.Some individuals eat as a remedy against frustration. For these people it could be utile to remember moments in which we eliminate the frustration through massages or a sport competition and to encourage and repeat these experiences.

Pakapikapi lang, pero kopi luwak pud diay...

Kopi luwak or civet coffee, is coffee made from the beans of coffee berries which have been eaten by the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civets, then passed through its digestive tract. A civet eats the berries for their fleshy pulp. In its stomach, proteolytic enzymes seep into the beans, making shorter peptides and more free amino acids. Passing through a civet's intestines the beans are then defecated, having kept their shape. After gathering, thorough washing, sun drying, light roasting and brewing, these beans yield an aromatic coffee with much less bitterness, widely noted as the most expensive coffee in the world. Question and Answer / Re: Are You The Coffee Type ?

Even vampires drink tea...

Three vampires walk into a blood bar. The first two order a glass of blood each and the third one orders a glass of boiling water.

The bartender thinks that it’s kind of weird, but doesn’t say anything--he just gives them their drinks.

The next day, the three vampires walk into the bar and order the same thing, two glasses of blood and a glass of boiling water.

The bartender still thinks it’s weird but doesn’t say anything, he doesn’t want to be that vampire’s next victim.

But when it happened again on the third day, the bartender couldn’t help but ask why. . . “Okay, I know that the three of you are vampires, so why do you two order glasses of blood but you always get a glass of boiling water?”

The third vampire pulls out a used tampon and says, “I like to make tea!”

Not bad. Pero dili kompleto ang estorya. Here's a version I like:

Three guys died and went to heaven. St. Peter said, "Listen - we're having a really busy century, so we need to manage admissions tightly. Right now we can only admit people who have died in horrible fashions, and those who have died in a more mundane way will have to wait in limbo, and it could take a decade or two to work you in." So, St. Peter took each of the three men aside in turn and asked them about how they died.

First man: "I'd been suspecting for a long time that my wife was cheating on me. I decided to come home early from work one afternoon to see if I could catch her in the act. When I got back to my apartment, I heard the water running. My wife was in the shower. I looked everywhere for the guy, but couldn't find anyone or any trace that he had been there. The last place I looked was out on the balcony.

I found the bastard hanging from the edge, trying to get back in! So I started jumping up and down on his hands, and he yelled, but he didn't fall. So I ran inside and got a hammer, and crushed his fingers with it until he fell twenty-five floors screaming in agony. But the fall didn't kill the assholɘ. He landed in some bushes! So I went to the kitchen and dragged the refrigerator--which weighed a ton--to the balcony, and hurled it over the edge. It landed right on the jerk and killed him. But then I felt so horrible about what I had done, I went back into the bedroom and shot myself."

St. Peter nodded slowly as the man recounted the story. Then, telling the first man to wait, he took the second aside.

Second man: "I lived on the twenty-seventh floor of this apartment building. I had just purchased this book on morning exercises and was practicing them on my balcony, enjoying the sunshine. Then I lost my balance and fell off the edge. Luckily, I only fell about two floors before grabbing another balcony and holding on for dear life. I was trying to pull myself up when this guy came running out onto what must have been his balcony and started jumping up and down on my hands. I screamed in pain, but he seemed really furious. When he finally stopped, I tried to pull myself up again, but he came out with a hammer and smashed my fingers to a pulp! I fell, and thought I was dead, but I landed in some bushes. I couldn't believe my second stroke of luck, but it didn't last. The last thing I saw was this enormous refrigerator falling from the building down on top of me and crushing me to death."

St. Peter comforted the man, who seemed to have several broken bones. Then he told him to wait, and turned to the third man.

Third man: "Picture this. You're hiding, naked, in a refrigerator..."

Bwahaha!  ;D

Men tend to use and enjoy language that is literal and direct, specifying those things that are wanted or unwanted.

Women tend to use and enjoy language that is figurative and indirect, talking about one thing in terms of another and presenting suggestions in the form of questions or asides.

Hmm. Interestingly, men seem to do better than women at writing poetry...
