Felix I agree with you, he should change his attitude in singing Lupang Hinirang. Maayo pa ko si Nora Aunor ang gipakanta.

I feel uneasy with you because Ayessa left this Forum very unhappy.

I feel that our national anthem be sung with sincerity, in Martins case, he is so americanized, singing this song for the Pacman´s fight, mosakay lang siya sa kasikatan nianing okasyona , this is a big fight and this will be written in history. I don´t like him, siguro malakas at may kapit sya kay Ate.

ps
I hope Lorenzo will not feel bad , this is just a comment.
#7404
Martin Nievera is expecting the Pinoys to be serious when the anthem is sung? Look how he sings, this is the national anthem of our country not a pop song! Plus the diction is americanized, maajo pa maninda nalang siya ug tangkong sa Amerika.

Now that its EU neighbors have reported cases of swine flu, Germany is taking measures at airports, but its stockpile of anti-virals is low. Baffling scientists, the new viral strain has only been deadly in Mexico.
#7406
The swine flu virus is not spread through food.
People cannot become infected with swine flu
by eating pork or pork products.
This current virus is different. Scientists believe
the germ is a mixture of swine flu, bird flu and
human flu- and it is spreading between people
The swine flu has killed more than 80 people in
Mexico and has infected at least 20 people in
the United States. While the seasonal flu is most
dangerous for infants and the elderly, most of the
swine flu deaths have been among healthy adults.
The United States of America has declared a
"State of Emergency" as they worry about the
swine flu that it might be the same big flu epidemic
that killed at least 40 million people worldwide in
1918 that struck healthy young adults.
Some viruses can live for several hours in surfaces
like table, doorkobs and telephone. This may be
true for the swine flu, so some people may be
getting sick by touching something contaminated
by swine flu virus- and then touching their eyes,
noses or mouths.
People with swine flu remain infected for at least
a week after they become sick. But, keep in mind,
many people recover from the swine flu without
treatment.
It's important to pay attention to ongoing reports
about the swine flu. Viruses are smart little germs
and can "mutate" or change as time goes on. If
this happens, the virus may become more or less
dangerous. So far the CDC has been unable to
predict how the swine flu might change.
Currently there's no vaccine available that protects
against the swine flu. However, some basic health
habits and recommendation I have posted earlier
about the seasonal flu.
So far, it seems that the swine flu is spreading the
same way that the seasonal flu does- mainly through
droplets that float through the air when infected people
cough or sneeze.
It is possible for an infected person with swine flu
to spread the virus to other s beginning 24 hours
BEFORE symptoms show up. This means  that you
may have contact with a person with swine flu who
seem to appear perfectly healthy. And it means that
you could spread the virus before you know you have it.

About EMEA â€" The Next EMEA Weeklong Seminar will take place from June 16th - June 21st, 2009

Program Directors: Sabine Lang, Sam Powney, Shamsiah Ali
Email address: emea@culturaldiplomacy.org

Europe meets East Asia: A Forum for Young Leaders (EMEA) is a newly launched network of young, dynamic and influential people from Europe and East Asia who have a current interest in the Europe-East Asia relationship.

Members join the Forum by taking part in a Weeklong Seminar, during which they will learn about the field of cultural diplomacy, explore the relationship between the European Union and East Asian nations, and take part in challenging group discussions on important issues. Participants will gain insight into existing European and East Asian cultural diplomacy initiatives and strategies, discuss the role and potential of cultural diplomacy in the context of the EU and East Asian countries, and examine the changing frameworks in which individuals, businesses, and governments from these two regions interact.

Once they have become a member of the Forum, the young leaders will be supported by the ICD in conducting research into Europe-East Asia relations, which can either be published on our online media service (Cultural Diplomacy News, www.cd-n.org), online in the ICD research section, or in our forthcoming book “Case Studies in Cultural Diplomacy”. The Forum will also organise a number of shorter, academic conferences throughout the year that the members are invited to attend and to help organise. Through the ICD Online Forum (available through Facebook), members are able to keep in touch with one another and members of the other ICD Forums and to share important information about job opportunities and related events. Finally, the ICD will support and offer guidance to members who are interested in organising their own cultural exchange initiatives.

Advantages of joining the Forum

The Weeklong Seminar- The program for the Weeklong Seminar will involve seminars and workshops with experts on the relationship between Europe and East Asia, including academics, politicians, journalists, and practitioners from other civil society organisations. During this week you will have the opportunity to meet with these figures, discuss key issues with them, and take part in structured group discussions with the other participants. The program will be designed to give you ideas and advice for your own cultural exchange initiatives, and to facilitate strong relationships between the participants.

Taking part in the Weeklong Seminar will also offer you a unique opportunity to experience Berlin. As an established NGO with strong connections to Berlin’s political and civil society spheres, we are able to organise seminars in locations such as the German Foreign Ministry, the German Parliament, the Berlin Philharmonic, the City Hall, and the European House. This Forum will also involve a number of historical and cultural field excursions that will allow participants to discover more about Berlin. Guided tours to focal points of inter-cultural dialogue will be complemented by behind-the-scenes visits to institutions, group dinners, and ICD-organized parties, taking the participants to the heart of Berlin’s musical, artistic, and cultural scenes.

Certificate - Upon completion of the Weeklong Seminar, all participants will be awarded with an official ICD certificate detailing the activity of the week, in particular the program highlights, and welcoming them to EMEA.

The Forum - One of the main goals of the forum is to give the members the encouragement and support to organise their own cultural exchange initiatives. During the Weeklong Seminar we will provide you with information about how you can do this, and to encourage you to generate ideas for possible initiatives. At the end of the Weeklong Seminar we will provide you with a document outlining the issues you need to address, how you can plan your initiative, and giving you information about where you can apply for funding.

Following the completion of the Weeklong Seminar you will become a member of the ICD Young Leaders Online Forum. The Online Forum was created to allow members of the different ICD Forums to keep in touch and share information about job opportunities, their leadership initiatives, and other related events with each other. Only Forum members are able to use the Online Forum, and it therefore represents the ideal location to gather support for your initiative from like-minded people across the globe.

Forum members are encouraged, in consultation with the ICD, to conduct research on Europe-East Asia relations, in particular relating to cultural exchange between the two regions. When completed, the ICD can publish these case studies on our online media service “Cultural Diplomacy News”, in the research section on the ICD homepage, and in our forthcoming publication “Case Studies in Cultural Diplomacy”. The publication will allow academics and practitioners to evaluate previous examples of cultural diplomacy, and encourage the establishment of best practice guidelines.

Questions such as "What should I do to keep from getting the flu?" and others are answered at the http://www.cdc.gov/swineflu/ website. CDC recommends, first and most important: wash your hands. Try to stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not to touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

MIGRANT CANDIDATE TO STAND FOR EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT
PRESS RELEASE
The Netherlands
April 28, 2009
News

GENE ALCANTARA, a British and European citizen since 1992, has declared his intention to run for office in the forthcoming European Parliamentary elections in June 2009. He knows that Europe is key to influencing government policy in the UK and he hopes to do that if elected for London.

Gene Alcantara
For too long now ethnic minorities, migrants and East and Central Europeans in the UK have been made the scapegoat for a lot of the ills of British society. Critics have blamed them for the pressures on housing, healthcare and social services, for illegal working, and for taking jobs away from the locals. In this difficult time of global recession, these have created a climate of fear and uncertainty among migrants, and resentment in the wider British community, instead of acceptance and integration.

Government policy has not helped at all, continually putting pressures on migrants, squeezing them for more money and making it more difficult for them to exercise their rights as British and European citizens.
Instead of this, Alcantara said, “I would stress the positive contribution of migrants to Britain, harness their energies, and work on building a more inclusive and fair society that does not discriminate or exclude those who have spent their lives serving the good of this country.”

Alcantara ran for Westminster Council in 1998, and stood for Parliament in West Ham in 2005. In both cases although he failed to get elected, he felt he had raised awareness in migrants to participate in the electoral process in Britain.

Alcantara urged all ethnic minorities, migrants and East and Central Europeans in the 74 London parliamentary constituencies to register to vote and turn out on polling day to make their voices heard. It is estimated that 29% of the 7 million Londoners come from the ethnic minorities, and its population is the most diverse in the UK. They have until 19 May to register as electors, and could also apply to vote by post until then.

Born in the Philippines, Alcantara came to live in London when he was 21. He completed a BA in Russian Studies, and has a MBA as well as a Certificate in Employment Law. He worked for the British Council for 21 years promoting British culture and education overseas, and is currently an OISC-Registered Immigration Adviser/Caseworker.
He is married to Carmila Legarda, and has 3 children.

St. Peter Chanel

(1803-1841)

Anyone who has worked in loneliness, with great adaptation required and with little apparent success, will find a kindred spirit in Peter Chanel.
As a young priest he revived a parish in a "bad" district by the simple method of showing great devotion to the sick. Wanting to be a missionary, he joined the Society of Mary (Marists) at 28. Obediently, he taught in the seminary for five years. Then, as superior of seven Marists, he traveled to Western Oceania where he was entrusted with a vicariate. The bishop accompanying the missionaries left Peter and a brother on Futuna Island in the New Hebrides, promising to return in six months. The interval lasted five years.

Meanwhile he struggled with this new language and mastered it, making the difficult adjustment to life with whalers, traders and warring natives. Despite little apparent success and severe want, he maintained a serene and gentle spirit and endless patience and courage. A few natives had been baptized, a few more were being instructed. When the chieftain's son asked to be baptized, persecution by the chieftain reached a climax. Father Chanel was clubbed to death, his body cut to pieces.

Within two years after his death, the whole island became Catholic and has remained so. Peter Chanel is the first martyr of Oceania and its patron.

Just as what I have told you before, this news landed in my mailbox. I went to consult some people to verify the chances of this second tsunami, an excellent source told me that there is a great probability using scientific calculations from Marine Institute of the Netherlands, Frauenhof Institute, Tech University Berlin. This is a warning, to increase the awareness of the people living in the areas involved,  hence minimizing the impact and damages if possible.

St. Louis Mary de Montfort

(1673-1716)

Louis's life is inseparable from his efforts to promote genuine devotion to Mary, the mother of Jesus and mother of the Church.Totus tuus(completely yours) was Louis's personal motto; Karol Wojtyla chose it as his episcopal motto.
Born in the Breton village of Montfort, close to Rennes (France), as an adult Louis identified himself by the place of his Baptism instead of his family name, Grignion. After being educated by the Jesuits and the Sulpicians, he was ordained as a diocesan priest in 1700.

Soon he began preaching parish missions throughout western France. His years of ministering to the poor prompted him to travel and live very simply, sometimes getting him into trouble with Church authorities. In his preaching, which attracted thousands of people back to the faith, Father Louis recommended frequent, even daily, Holy Communion (not the custom then!) and imitation of the Virgin Mary's ongoing acceptance of God's will for her life.

Louis founded the Missionaries of the Company of Mary (for priests and brothers) and the Daughters of Wisdom, who cared especially for the sick. His book, True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin, has become a classic explanation of Marian devotion.

Louis died in Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, where a basilica has been erected in his honor. He was canonized in 1947.

A big debate is going on in Germany about the economic crises, but France is way ahead.  They simply put their empowerless bosses as hostage for a number of hours.Colline Colboc and  Marcus Kerriou are the youngest victims, they spent 26 hours  (CEO and Personal head respectively) , in their office.  They are the head of a wiring company who is planning to close their plants which means losing 300 jobs in this small town of France. Colline said it is so humiliating to face the glaring cameras of the journalists and asks for permission to go to the toilet.
The drama is simple but the result is effective, the employees take their chief as responsible for mismanagement  and the misery of their situation.

Marcus Kerriou, co-director of Molex Automotive, a subsidiary of the American company Molex, whilst being held for a second day Tuesday April 21, 2009 in Villemur sur Tarn, southwestern France, by some 50 workers protesting plans to close their plant. Molex Automotive announced in October plans to close the plant and relocate its work to China and the U.S. Some 300 workers are to lose their jobs when the plant, which manufactures electrical connectors, ends production June 30. www.daylife.com

St. Pedro de San José Betancur

(1626-1667)

Central America can claim its first saint with the July 30 canonization of Pedro de Betancur by Pope John Paul II in Guatemala City. Known as the "St. Francis of the Americas," Pedro de Betancur is the first saint to have worked and died in Guatemala.
Calling the new saint an “outstanding example” of Christian mercy, the Holy Father noted that St. Pedro practiced mercy “heroically with the lowliest and the most deprived.” Speaking to the estimated 500,000 Guatemalans in attendance, the Holy Father spoke of the social ills that plague the country today and of the need for change.

“Let us think of the children and young people who are homeless or deprived of an education; of abandoned women with their many needs; of the hordes of social outcasts who live in the cities; of the victims of organized crime, of prostitution or of drugs; of the sick who are neglected and the elderly who live in loneliness,” he said in his homily during the three-hour liturgy.

Pedro very much wanted to become a priest, but God had other plans for the young man born into a poor family on Tenerife in the Canary Islands. Pedro was a shepherd until age 24, when he began to make his way to Guatemala, hoping to connect with a relative engaged in government service there. By the time he reached Havana, he was out of money. After working there to earn more, he got to Guatemala City the following year. When he arrived he was so destitute that he joined the bread line which the Franciscans had established.

Soon, Pedro enrolled in the local Jesuit college in hopes of studying for the priesthood. No matter how hard he tried, however, he could not master the material; he withdrew from school. In 1655 he joined the Secular Franciscan Order. Three years later he opened a hospital for the convalescent poor; a shelter for the homeless and a school for the poor soon followed. Not wanting to neglect the rich of Guatemala City, Pedro began walking through their part of town ringing a bell and inviting them to repent.

Other men came to share in Pedro's work. Soon they became the Bethlehemite Congregation, which went on to earn official papal approval after Pedro's death.

He is sometimes credited with originating the Christmas Eve posadas procession in which people representing Mary and Joseph seek a night's lodging from their neighbors. The custom soon spread to Mexico and other Central American countries.

Pedro was beatified in 1980.

Comment:

As humans, we often pride ourselves on our ability to reason. But, as Pedro’s life shows, other skills may be an even more crucial element of our humanity than a clever mind: compassion, imagination, love. Unable to master studies for the priesthood despite his efforts, Pedro responded to the needs of homeless and sick people; he provided education to the poor and salvation to the rich. He became holyâ€"as fully human as any of us can ever be.

Swine flu Cases In California Worry Health Officials

April 23, 2009

Health officials alerted doctors Tuesday to a unique type of swine flu diagnosed in two California children, but it’s unclear whether many people will be susceptible to the infection. The children were diagnosed last week. One was a 10-year-old boy in San Diego County, and the other a 9-year-old girl in neighboring Imperial County. Both recovered.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials said there’s no reason for the public to take unusual measures against it.

“CDC is concerned, but that’s our job,” said CDC spokesman Tom Skinner.

Health officials have long feared the emergence of a deadly form of flu. They have not noted a spike in flu cases or a rash of severe illnesses. But they are continuing to investigate the genetics of the virus and track down and test people who may have been in contact with the children.

ps
German hospitals are getting prepared if the flu really turns pandemic, quarantine areas are ready to be used.

Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza that regularly cause outbreaks of influenza among pigs. Swine flu viruses do not normally infect humans, however, human infections with swine flu do occur, and cases of human-to-human spread of swine flu viruses has been documented. See General Information about Swine Flu.

From December 2005 through February 2009, a total of 12 human infections with swine influenza were reported from 10 states in the United States. Since March 2009, a number of confirmed human cases of a new strain of swine influenza A (H1N1) virus infection in California, Texas, and Mexico have been identified. An investigation into these cases is ongoing. For more information see Human Swine Flu Investigation.

Authorities closed schools, museums, libraries and theaters in the capital, Mexico City, to try to contain any possible outbreak. Many people in the capital were wearing face masks while in public. Authorities say 1,000 people have become ill.
Scientists have long been concerned that a new flu virus could spark a worldwide pandemic. A pandemic is usually declared when there is a new virus to which few people have resistance, the virus is easily transmissible and sustainable within a population, and causes severe illness.

Freud believed that humans were driven by two instinctive drives, libidinal energy/Eros and the death instinct/Thanatos. Freud's description of Eros/Libido included all creative, life-producing instincts. The Death Instinct represented an instinctive drive to return to a state of calm, or non-existence.

This is a Freudian term that we are mostly motivated to be sexually gratified. Objects, insinuations and hints in this direction are the guidelines to make  advertisements eye-catching.

Wikipedia:
Sigmund Freud popularized the term and defined libido as the instinct energy or force, contained in what Freud called the id, the largely unconscious structure of the psyche. Freud pointed out that these libidinal drives can conflict with the conventions of civilized behavior, represented in the psyche by the superego. It is this need to conform to society and control the libido that leads to tension and disturbance in the individual, prompting the use of ego defenses to dissipate the psychic energy of these unmet and mostly unconscious needs into other forms. Excessive use of ego defenses results in neurosis. A primary goal of psychoanalysis is to bring the drives of the id into consciousness, allowing them to be met directly and thus reducing the patient's reliance on ego defenses.[1]

I highly respect your opinion, but places like Bohol you could see that they just trust the Divine Providence. Had I allowed a nuerologist to opereate on my elbow, there is a high probability of things which might go awry like stiff fingers.  I don´t want to take the risks. I told him that I will have it done in Bohol and he was laughing, I showed him after my vacation, he was not laughing anymore but confused, ha ha ha.

After Susan confessed that Osmond was the inspiration behind her singing skills, she is now all set to meet her hero - and sing with him.

The Puppy Love hitmaker said, "I would die to do a duet with her."

And Osmond would like to make the humble Scot a part of his Las Vegas Donny and Marie revue, he said: "I would have her come up onstage and I would sing to her and I'd have her sing to me."

Earlier this week Elaine Paige also offered to sing a duet with Susan!

Mel, I know you are a very educated woman, what Lorenzo is telling sounds good but really costly. Do you believe in faith healers? Kanang  doktor laway? I have myself treated with a pain in my elbow (parehas ba sa tennis arm), ang mananambal ra ang naka cure. Si nong Demi taga Kasbo, Guidnulman. He keep on massaging the painful part and after half an hour it was gone.
He will also tell if your complains can be treated by a common medical person.
I gave him (1,000) Phil pesos, out of joy and gratitude which he declined because it was too much.

Zurab Tseriteli"
The art was the creation of Russian artist Tseriteli who has a mixed reputation within the art world. Many critics of art have problems with the monumental scale of almost all of his pieces. He made a 300 foot tall statue of Columbus and a 165 foot Peter the Great! He filled a St. Petersburg, Russia park with 74 life-size busts of czarist royalty. While Robot Nine is not enamored of the 9/11 work, perhaps it is our Texas nature to not be taken aback by large works. Christo has spent his life draping cloth over islands and buildings and the art world fawns over him like a mother's newborn. Epic works such as Mount Rushmore, Sitting Bull, and Stone Mountain also meet with criticism so it is to be expected.

It is also evident that there are some sleeping  problems during full moon.Ion research from around the world has proven that Serotonin overproduction stimulated by higher positive ion ratios is the primary cause for many of the problems associated with positive ions:

Kosog sab ang dugo kon masamdan, busa ang mga ospital sa Japan mohulat sa operasyon kon mahimo angin nia-ani nga phenomenon.

Glace ani-a ang tubag ngano nga motokar ang mga sinyalan;
The term Lunatic is derived from the word Lunar (Moon).

Simply put; Hormonal reactions to increased positive ions in the air (Full Moon Effect) cause hyperactivity, depression, violent behavior, road rage, higher occurrences of migraines and asthma.  Even bees are known to sting without provocation on higher positive ion ratios.

The Israeli Army considers the Sharav wind (high in positive ion concentrations) a natural enemy of an efficient fighting force. They even have a term for this reaction called "Bedouinism" which means the soldiers cease to be alert, or effective fighters during the wind.
In some middle east countries, Judges are more lenient on criminals if the crime was committed during increased positive ion wind conditions.

These periodic winds blowing in from the desert are called the Sharav. University studies in Israel concluded that increased positive ions can cause an increase in violent tendencies.

Lunar, lunatic!

The police corps in Bremen are on  high alert during this period, since they discover that crimes are high on this days.

St. Fidelis of Sigmaringen

(1577-1622)

If a poor man needed some clothing, Fidelis would often give the man the clothes right off his back. Complete generosity to others characterized this saint's life.
Born in 1577, Mark Rey (Fidelis was his religious name) became a lawyer who constantly upheld the causes of the poor and oppressed people. Nicknamed "the poor man's lawyer," Fidelis soon grew disgusted with the corruption and injustice he saw among his colleagues. He left his law career to become a priest, joining his brother George as a Franciscan friar of the Capuchin Order. His wealth was divided between needy seminarians and the poor.

As a follower of Francis, Fidelis continued his devotion to the weak and needy. Once, during a severe epidemic in a city where he was guardian of a friary, Fidelis cared for and cured many sick soldiers.

He was appointed head of a group of Capuchins sent to preach against the Calvinists and Zwinglians in Switzerland. Almost certain violence threatened. Those who observed the mission felt that success was more attributable to the prayer of Fidelis during the night than to his sermons and instructions.

He was accused of opposing the peasants' national aspirations for independence from Austria. While he was preaching at Seewis, to which he had gone against the advice of his friends, a gun was fired at him, but he escaped unharmed. A Protestant offered to shelter Fidelis, but he declined, saying his life was in God's hands. On the road back, he was set upon by a group of armed men and killed.

I had gotten this info from a very close relative who teaches in a NY university. Lisod na mag tomo-tomo ug ing-ani nga balita.
In my opinion, Pakistan is a very dangerous country. It is the place where fundamentalists are trained for their Holy war. They possess nuclear weapons. They are very eager to erase the State of Israel and they are capable of using this weapon to execute their goal.
Islamists who are caught here in Germany  (naturalized Germans) admitted to have gotten their military and other brainwashing techniques in this country.

St. Adalbert of Prague

(956-97)

Opposition to the Good News of Jesus did not discourage Adalbert, who is now remembered with great honor in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Germany.
Born to a noble family in Bohemia, he received part of his education from St. Adalbert of Magdeburg. At the age of 27 he was chosen as bishop of Prague. Those who resisted his program of clerical reform forced him into exile eight years later.

In time the people of Prague requested his return as their bishop. Within a short time, however, he was exiled again after excommunicating those who violated the right of sanctuary by dragging a woman accused of adultery from a church and murdering her.

After a short ministry in Hungary, he went to preach the Good News to people living near the Baltic Sea. He and two companions were martyred by pagan priests in that region. Adalbert's body was immediately ransomed and buried in Gniezno cathedral (Poland). In the mid-11th century his body was moved to St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague.

Vertigo is a sensation of dizziness, faintness,
or lightheadedness that results from an impaired
sense of balance and equilibrium. Dizziness is
not synonym with vertigo. Anyone may occa-
sionally experience a feeling of ligheadedness,
dizziness, unsteadiness, or the sensation of
feeling faint. Dizziness can be caused by many
different things, some of them serious. If you
feel dizzy and find it difficult to speak, swallow
or think clearly, seek medical attention. These
may be the symptom of stroke. Numbness and
tingling or loss of vision accompanied by dizzi-
ness can be sign of a stroke.
Vertigo is not an illness in itself-it is a symptom'
of another condition. Vertigo occurs when the
central nervous system receives conflicting
messages from the inner ear, eyes, muscles,
and skin pressure receptors. This may result
from a variety of causes, including brain tumors,
high or low blood pressure, allergies, diabetes,
head injuries, inadequate or interrupted supply
of oxygen to the brain, anemia, viral infection,
fever, the use of certain drugs, nutritional defi-
ciences, neurological disease, psychological
stress, changes in the atmospheric presssure;
blockage of the ear canal or eustachian tube,
middle ear infections, or excess wax in the
ear. It could also be caused by Meneire's
Disease.  Poor cerebral circulation can also
cause dizziness and the inability to maintain
balance. Poor cerebral circulation may be due
to either narrowing of the blood vessels  that
supply the brain ( arteriosclerosis) , pinched
lood vesselin the neck (cervical osteoarthritis) ,
or a disorder such as diabetes or anemia.
Because of the effects of aging on the body,
older people are more prone to vertigo. As people
age, tiny bits of debris may accumulate in the
inner ears and press against the hair cells, re-
sulting in false signals being sent to the brain.
This can interfere with the sense of balance and
result in vertigo. In addition, with increasing age,
nerve impulses require more time to travel from
the eyes to the brain and spinal cord. This can
cause dizziness and loss of balance upon
sudden movement.
Ginger relieves dizziness and nausea. Gingko
biloba improves circulation and improves brain
function by increasing the supply of oxy-gen
to the brain. Take 120 mgs of gingko biloba
extract daily. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, nicotine
and all fried foods. Limit your sodium intake.
Too much sodium can disrupt the working of the'
inner ear.
To subdue dizziness, sit on a chair with your
feet flat on the floor and stare at a fixed object
for a few minutes. And avoid rapid or  extreme
movement and rapid change in body position.
If vertigo is a recurring problem, consult your
health provider. It may be a sign of an under-
lying problem that requires treatment.
