Valencia - Bohol / Gan vs. Olegario
October 05, 2009, 01:02:51 PM
Vote now!

Dr. Gan is the incumbent mayor and scion of reputedly Bohol's richest and most liquid family.

Gen. Olegario, although a native of Valencia, is virtually unknown especially to the new generation of Valencianhons (except by name) since he was in the military and is (was?) residing in Manila. I am not aware too of his programs of government.

Padungga daw mi be, post ug mp.

porbida!!! how did you know??? grrrhhh

a few months ago, manay and i were exchanging PMs in this forum. at that time, i didn't know that administrators have access to our accounts. i was informed of this setup only lately. if anyone noticed that i no longer made "tambay" in tb, it was because of that... grrhhhh

i didn't know i was a victim of a possible "unauthorized" access to my account until now. or was i assuming too much, ben?

no worries though. just keep it to yourself, please.
#718
i doubt if you don't have word of honor cause until now every tb member has no idea of how i look like.

Bay Calle,

how did you know that my face was supposed to be flashed on tv? anyway, mar roxas and loren legarda's staff calls me sometimes. that's how i avoided hearings - talk to their staff and be kind to them, give them data they need/want if it is not confidential. the last time loren's staff called me for inputs in her privilege speech, they called me back to reiterate their thanks. that was enough for me. i also write roxas from time to time if he has queries. hehehe

again, how did you know that my face was supposed to be flashed on tv?

thanks, manay.

continuation:

due to technical problems, we were able to claim our checked-in baggage only after an hour. (this is already around 8 pm). after which, we proceeded to the 3rd floor of terminal 2 to have our long awaited lunch in jollibee-terminal 2 branch only to find out that the queue was so kilometric i might be dead by the time i get to the counter. so, me and my colleague braved heavy rains to get a jeepney ride to baclaran. we arrived in baclaran safe and sound and proceeded to a 24-hour mcdonald branch. finally, we had our lunch - burger, rice and chicken at 9 pm. this is my first time to get stucked due to heavy rains and flooding.

i cannot imagine myself waiting in mcdonald for the whole night. so, i went out and tried to look for a taxi that would take me home. luckily (God was so good to me!), i got a taxi and i proceeded home. the driver is a member of inc, a very good one. he did not even asked me additional charges though i gladly extended more than what is shown in the meter. by that time, baclaran, dampa, picc and vito cruz had no heavy traffic. the taxi dropped me a few meters from my place because the area near my home was flooded. i got a padyak to cross me my the drop-off point to my condo building. im on the 33rd floor of a condominium in manila. wala ng baha dun. i retired soundly at around 1 in the morning - laptop and lcd projector safely placed in the dining table...

much thanks to my brand new crocs sandals that i so reluctantly stepped in to the flooded streets of paranaque, pasay and manila, hehehe.

aw, sajop injo basa sa ako post.

ang ako buot ipaibot, ang laptop ug lcd projector worth more than one hundred thousand.

i was in palawan last week for the information drive of our office. i was one of the resource speakers, ahem, hehehe. we were already in manila by 1120 am but we were not given clearance to land by airport authorities because of the zero visibility thing. so, our flight was diverted to cebu.

however, we were not able to deplane in mactan international airport because we were in a military base. though ground crew of Philippine Airlines were seen in the tarmac, no food were delivered to feed hungry passengers.  i made a scene when i scolded a stewardees for their services i cannot stomach. for that, i was given a pack of peanut and biscuit. i gave the biscuit to my companion who's as old as my father and keep the peanut. We were just inside the plane until 5 pm when we were allowed to depart for manila by airport authorities.

we arrived in ninoy aquino international airport terminal 2 at around 6 pm but we deplaned at around 7 pm because of heavy airport traffic. (note: more than 100 passengers and crew of PAL have not taken their lunch, including me)

to be continued...

Nene (Cornillo?) is building his pension house in canmanico, valencia. emma (forgot the family name but she comes from the palac bloodline of cutcutan and anas) also has her own pension house and restaurant in anas, near badiang. she's a successful businesswoman from anas who migrated to mindanao and now back to the land of her birth.

kini dugang sa mga existing places where valencianhon balikbayans can stay during their vacation - villa tarcela and the house in poblacion occidental (forgot the owner's name).

i took a leave last tuesday, august 4, just to pay my last respects to the late president in manila cathedral. it took me more than 6 hours in the line before i could enter the cathedral. take note also that there were two lines. ganun kahaba ang pila. ganun kadami ang nagmamahal ni cory. nya, sige pa jud uwan, usahay muinit na pud kay dihay tropical storm.

on aug 5, i also waited 2 hours in quirino avenue to take a glimpse of her funeral procession. napasmo kog hinuwat cause i got out of my place immediately after the requiem mass which was aired live on tv. ala 1 na nilabay sa quirino.

the whole procession took 8 hours. i think that was the 2nd largest funeral procession, next only to that of her martyred husband, Ninoy. the procession could have taken long if it were not for the live coverage by the country's largest tv networks.

18 kms = 11.25 miles. You cannot compare the volume of traffic of San Juanico Bridge to the impending possible volume of traffic of Cebu-Bohol Multi-Access Friendship bridge as to since the latter's traffic volume will definitely be way much higher than former kay mas prone to highway robbery ang San Juanico...

noted, sir.

anyway, layo na man kaayo mi taga valencia and other municipalities facing the mindanao island sa getafe, do you think its reasonable to use the bridge in going to cebu?

also, dili kaha ta mangawa sa cebu nga wa ra ba ta mangaanad ug basa ug map, use of traffice light and other traffic regulations? dakop jud nis cebu ba, madato ang citom.

in fairness to mdb ba, there's nothing wrong with being tiguwang man jud. but the way it was said and if you relate the word tiguwang to the other postings by HC, any person in his right mind can conclude that the word tiguwang was posted with malice, to annoy the concerned party, to vex her, in contempt, to degrade her person...

humana na ba ni?

peace na ang tanan?

some prominent family names in valencia:

lim (abling's family), lim (guido's family), lim (ondoy's family) = these are the most prominent families in valencia and they are not related. the first two lim families are rivals in the health care business (they each have two hospitals) and the first lim family and the third lim family are rivals in the retail and copra sectors). the first lim family are said to be bohol's richest and also holds various public positions (board member down to barangay captain)

others:
sale, sales, salise
pala, palac, palaca
amba, gamba, nambatac
tago, tagud
taga-amo, tagaro, taganas, cagadas

hhmmm other than its jurisdiction over intra-corporate disputes, SEC has no legal authority to resolve complaints involving parties outside its organization whose jurisdiction is vested on the regional trial courts.

Adto mo RTC dung. i think in bohol the executive judge is judge fuentes.

anyway, i suggest the issues should be resolved as diplomatic as possible between the beauty queen and the organizers. court cases are so dragging they may all end up with nothing.  on our part, let's not muddle the issues and let's not stoop to levels unbecoming of a boholano/boholana.

NAKAKAHIYA!

hope the info dissemination will reach the poorest of the poors so they can avail of this facility. we worked hard for this, so don't miss this guys.

cooperativism is not very popular in the country although Congress already passed an amendment to the old coop law in february 2009 mainly to encourage such system.

stop this, guys, please!
