aw, sajop injo basa sa ako post.

ang ako buot ipaibot, ang laptop ug lcd projector worth more than one hundred thousand.

i was in palawan last week for the information drive of our office. i was one of the resource speakers, ahem, hehehe. we were already in manila by 1120 am but we were not given clearance to land by airport authorities because of the zero visibility thing. so, our flight was diverted to cebu.

however, we were not able to deplane in mactan international airport because we were in a military base. though ground crew of Philippine Airlines were seen in the tarmac, no food were delivered to feed hungry passengers.  i made a scene when i scolded a stewardees for their services i cannot stomach. for that, i was given a pack of peanut and biscuit. i gave the biscuit to my companion who's as old as my father and keep the peanut. We were just inside the plane until 5 pm when we were allowed to depart for manila by airport authorities.

we arrived in ninoy aquino international airport terminal 2 at around 6 pm but we deplaned at around 7 pm because of heavy airport traffic. (note: more than 100 passengers and crew of PAL have not taken their lunch, including me)

to be continued...

Kumusta ang imong gipuy an wala ba bahai ug maayo?

NAIA and the adjacent domestic airport was like a lake at the height of the typhoon. It was really impossible for you to land in that condition. I am happy you're back and safe.

PAL is one of the oldest flight carrier, that means they should be trained to such situations. Apan unsa man pod ang ilang idalit kon walay supply. Na-a kana sa taas. I wish they could improve their services to the passengers.
The weather bureau should update their gadgets or instruments to exactly predict incoming typhoons. We are prone to such calamities, there should be preparedness for the authorities to minimize the impact and loss of life and properties.
There is an outpour of donations from Europe especially Germany, hina-ut pa ang mga naig-an sa katalagman maoy makadawat.

continuation:

due to technical problems, we were able to claim our checked-in baggage only after an hour. (this is already around 8 pm). after which, we proceeded to the 3rd floor of terminal 2 to have our long awaited lunch in jollibee-terminal 2 branch only to find out that the queue was so kilometric i might be dead by the time i get to the counter. so, me and my colleague braved heavy rains to get a jeepney ride to baclaran. we arrived in baclaran safe and sound and proceeded to a 24-hour mcdonald branch. finally, we had our lunch - burger, rice and chicken at 9 pm. this is my first time to get stucked due to heavy rains and flooding.

i cannot imagine myself waiting in mcdonald for the whole night. so, i went out and tried to look for a taxi that would take me home. luckily (God was so good to me!), i got a taxi and i proceeded home. the driver is a member of inc, a very good one. he did not even asked me additional charges though i gladly extended more than what is shown in the meter. by that time, baclaran, dampa, picc and vito cruz had no heavy traffic. the taxi dropped me a few meters from my place because the area near my home was flooded. i got a padyak to cross me my the drop-off point to my condo building. im on the 33rd floor of a condominium in manila. wala ng baha dun. i retired soundly at around 1 in the morning - laptop and lcd projector safely placed in the dining table...

much thanks to my brand new crocs sandals that i so reluctantly stepped in to the flooded streets of paranaque, pasay and manila, hehehe.
