Kon imong ibaligya, ngano ug pila man pod?
Kon dili nimo ibaligya, ngano man pod?

Life and Car Insurances nindot pod.

Agent 1 : Nindot akong insurance kay covered from "birth to death".
Agent 2 : Aaah, layo ra na sa akong insurance nga from "womb to tomb".
Agent 3 : Akoa kay simple lang, from "erection to resurrection".

planohon, hinoktokan, mag-research, magpatambag,
ug uban pa.

Apan una sa tanan, for you Ofws,
magtigom jod mo kon gusto mo mag-negosyo ug dinagko.
Damgo man jod lagi nga mahimong negosyante pohon

For new businessmen, dili pwede ang
remote management. Iningles ang kalabasan niana.
Failure or short. Closed until further notice.

God bless.

Okay Ben, i will share with you and our fellow TBhon,
aw, TBsters diay akong experience in real business.
I will share here a very inspiring one also from a friend.

I am currently a franchisee of Madelicious Bakeshop.
My franchise area is part of Bukidnon. I have 5 branches.

Madelicious Bakeshop is a subsidiary of Madelicious Foods Corp.
Madelicious Foods Corp. is purely owned by Bol-anons.
Dodong Alemania of Loon and Madel Penaso of
Tagbilaran City. Both were graduates of DWCT in 1983.
Dodong worked with Sunpride baligyag Holiday
corned beef intawon. But later, he passed the board
exam and became a CPA. But still he worked as a salesman.

Later on pa jud, he realized getting out of the daily rat race
was to get out of the daily run, so he decided to become
an entrepreneur. He became a businessman in early 1990s.

Madelicious Bakeshop has now over 60 branches nationwide
company-owned or franchised. The couple Dodong & Madel
has added new businesses and now has hotels & restaurants,
Inns & Apartelles, ug uban pa.

Now, let me go back to the bakeshop business, cuz
it is there where i want to sell the idea for you folks.

Madelicious Bakeshop is now actively looking for
additional franchisees. Areas for market grab or
to be developed are vast, kaya join na kayo.

Bird's Eye View:

Ang gastohon per Branch:
1. If Renovation Only (Naa nay Building daan)
700k to 900k. Apil na dinhi ang Franchise Fee
for 5 years (250k), Renovation, Equipment,
Initial Ingredients, Training of Personnel, etc.

2. If Lot Only (Buildingan pa) 900k to 1.3M.
Apil na dinhi ang Franchise Fee
for 5 years (250k), Renovation, Equipment,
Initial Ingredients, Training of Personnel, etc.

If interested, i am just a reply away.

God bless.

What i mean is Franchising.

Franchising is a package already. Product, Production, Machineries,
People (Salespersons) and Bizniz Accounting Systems are all in na.
Igo na lang mo mo-seminar or workshop gamay, the bizniz will run
in itself.

Naay bizniz nga thousands lang, say 50k to 150k. Kasagaran ani,
are the Food Carts/Kiosks. Unsay Food Carts/Kiosks? Sa sulod sa Gaisano, SM,
or ICM naay mga island stalls or food carts or kiosks. Some of these are
selling: Cold Fruit Shakes or Chicharon or Ice Cream or Shawarma,
or Burgers with a lot of choices, ug daghan pa. Pwede mo,
mag-franchise niini through the internet ang application.

A food cart usually will gross 3k to 10k daily.
for you na Maagap.

Mas magaling ang Maagap kaysa Masipag.

Samples lang na sa mga websites where you can find food carts franchising.

I like this thread. Gihurot nakog basa gikan page 1 hangtod 20.
cremation with flavor, tulingan, onggoy, wati, burger nga wati,
paw, ug uban pa. Way klaro tanan. Pero pwerteng sakita sa akong tiyan
ug katawa. Mora kog boang nagsigeg katawa. Akong anak,
natingala. Hunahuna niya, naboang na man akong Daddy?

Aguuuuuy! Kasakit jod.
Hehehehehe. Panandaliang kaligayahan.

Okay tama na. Apil kog hunahuna sa negosyo. Kanang tinood.
Kanang pwede sa Bohol. Pili lang mo ani:

SEA
1. Caged Lapu-lapu & Other High-Valued Fishes
2. Caged Blue Crabs (Lambay gud, Doy.)
3. Guso Farming
4. Punong (Bangus)
5. Pump Boat/ Fishing Boat (parentahan)

LAND
1. Fleet of Vans for Tourist Rental
2. Franchise of Food Carts in Malls and busy areas (google Food Carts)
3. Jatropha Farming (Tuba-Tuba)
4. Fruit Farming
5. Rice Farming (irrigated jod aron dili mag-iningles inig harvest "short", "over-dropped" "failure")

AIR

In Bukidnon, Philippines pirmi gahilak ang mga sugarcane farmers.
Some has stopped farming and lease their lands to pineapple and banana corps.

Chinese Patient : "Doctol, ngano ako lawas taas kaayo sugal?"
Ako lawod-lawod sugalcane gamay lang sugal?"

Unsa may ipasabot sa "assistance"? Dili bayaran? Or bayaran?
If bayaran, naaah, "loan" na kana.
#621
#622
Walay mahimo ang Pilipinas niini. Pirmi lang ta mag-agad sa ilang presyo.

... "One article has pointed out the important role of "silent languages" of international business.
The article identified the use of five different silent languages: space, material possessions,
friendship patterns, agreements across cultures, and time."

This is true. Let me elaborate farther:

1. space - mas ganado ko mosulod sa Gaisano kaysa gagmayng tindahan. Busa kon magnegosyo
consider big spaces. Mag-unsa ang bakeshop kon way snack area? Labyan lang. Or makuhaan ang customer.

3. friendship patterns - be friendly to customers always. 'ika nga, "customers are always right". Do after sales,
like following up how was the product they bought. Show them that their comments are of great importance to you.

4. agreements across cultures - if you are into resto business in a non-pork-eating community, do not serve pork in your menu.
that is equivalent to "open today and close tomorrow until further notice."

5. time - be on time. serve fast. serve well.
Salesladies in your
stores must be trained with the 8 C's of Customer Care para tul-id pirmi, dili mayabag.

Kapoya dukdok sa keyboard oy. Pahulay sa ko.

Perfect products are common. To sustain sales, the product must be of importance to mankind. Like alpiler, dili mawala kay daghan man karsones nga matanggal ang butones unya tapolan na motaod ang nag-sul-ob busa palit na lang ug alpiler. Daghan pa nga butang nga gamit kaayo sa tawo ug sustained ang gamit niini. Busa daghan nadato inig mass produce ani. Labi nga registered na. Like Aji-no-moto. Kini nga product walay kalaban. Nawala na man ang Vetsin. Wala kalahutay kay di mahalin. Busa nadato pag-ayo ang naghimo sa Aji-no-moto. I think the man behind this product thinks not from "cradle to grave" but from "conception to resurection". Hehehe. Cheers !!!

For me, managing my time by making a to do list is better.
I can not do something, unless i have a list to focus on.
(i mean, i usually have more than 5 things to do daily in my bizniz.)

Attention for me is just a minute detail of each thing to do.
It is just like putting attention on sharpening the knife
para di mahiwa imong tudlog apil.

But i am always listing in a square according to:
1. Urgent, Urgent
2. Urgent, Important
3. Important, Not Urgent
4. Not Urgent, Not Urgent

Business and Economy / Re: Discover Your Plan B

Plan B Again

The biggest chance to become entrepreneurs
are with you OFWs.

Now, karon samtang bata pa.
Paningkamot mog tigom.
Time deposit your money para dili mahilabtan.
Dili mo matintal ug palit ug Fortuner unya idayan-dayan
lang sa inyong balay sa Bohol. It is a dead investment.
Madaan ra ug maguba. Dili mokita.

Unya na mo palit ug sakyanan kon mo-decide
na mo ug uli sa Bohol for good ug magsugod nag bizniz.

Ayaw intawon mog waldas sa wawarts,
kay dili na jod na mobalik. Naa hinooy bag-o nga moabot.

Spend time browsing the internet for some good bizniz.
Focus on it para magtinihik mog sugod ug mag-save na jod.

Kon makauli man, segurado man jod nga naay mamarayeg?
Hatag lang ug one time, like maghikay kag gamay aron makakaon tanan.

gipangandoy nga Plan B or Business sa umaabot.

Cheers !!!

Business and Economy / Re: Discover Your Plan B

Plan B is cool for me.

Nearing and after graduation, nabalaka nako.
Asa kaha ko motrabaho?
Unsa kaha akong trabaho?
Makaya kaha nako akong trabaho?
And worst, makatrabaho kaha ko?

In short after graduation,
nakatrabaho ra ko dayon.
I was absorbed in one of the university offices
sa akong Alma Mater.

After 3 years, nag-start akong mind ug kabalaka na pod.
Dinhi ra ba taman? Gamay ra ba akong sweldo.
Igo lang sa pagkaon ug sinina.
Libre man sa university ang balay, tubig ug suga.

In short again, nakabalhin kog opisina nga goberno gihapon.
Libre gihapon ang balay, suga ug tubig.
Times four pa jod akong sweldo.

After 3 years nabalaka na pod ko.
Di man ko kapalit ug awto aning sweldoha?
Labi na ug balay? Nagakadako ang mga needs.

From there, i started to think of Plan B again.
I must have a decent income, i thought.
I must work in a private company who could give me
higher wage.

In short, nakabalhin ko sa private sector.
Ug tuod man, times 5 akong sweldo sa gibiyaang trabaho.
Mas chada ang trabaho sa private sector.
Output oriented in reality,
unlike sa government nga time in time out lang.

But my future was at stake kasi.
So, himo na pod ko another Plan B.
I was thinking of becoming an entrepreneur.

Ug nahimo kong Entrepreneur 15 years na.

Now, one time, pag-do nila usa ka gabii, syempre

nakakita siyag paagi. Ingon niya, "Ooy, sulayan kaha nato ug
gamit ang lubi? Tua may kinagod tuas ref. Testingan nato?"

Ug nagkupos silag gamay.

Tuod man, nag-Do na sila.

Giingnan niya, "Ngano sige man kag katawa, Day?"
Mawala man sab akong gana ani oy.

Tubag ni Wifey, "Kinsa may di mahimuot aning atong gibuhat Dong?"
Karon pa intawon ko kasuway ug DO nga tinunoan.

3 N 1

Yes, Bambi taga Loon ko. But i left there over two decades ago.
But i see to it nga makauli kog pista. Last Sep 3 to 10, i was there.
Dia ra ko midagsa sa Mindanao. Diri ra pod nabihag ang akong kasingkasing

That is true, Bambi & BlueAngel nga daghan kaayo gwapa ug gwapo sa Loon,
Pero nagbaha pod ang medyo-medyo lang. Maglunop pod usahay. Hehehehe.

But the bottomline is always the heart of a person not the skin.
I prefer to be with people whose hearts are full of genuine good values
rather than people whose hearts are double-sided.

Some of those people i mentioned earlier are here at TB,
kaya ganahan ko diri magtambay in my spare time.
My body and mind need to recharge frequently not only spiritually
but also socially. And i enjoy it here.

This web is almost complete kay i never thought evangelization
and spirituality is not around here. But i was wrong.
Bran is one. Bran keep on evangelizing here. You are nourishing me.

spiritual uplift, and of course, the forever sharing of life's spice - Jokes.

Inspiration & Hope / Re: 'The Great Coffee Scandal'
September 26, 2009, 07:15:39 PM
COFFEE AND YOUR HEALTH

by Jardine Davies R. Torno, MD

Coffee continues to play an important role in our society today. The Turks first adopted it as a drink, adding spices such as cinnamon and anise to the brew but it was not until 1938 that freeze-dried coffee was invented to become the first drinkable instant coffee. Studies showed that coffee actually contained the highest number of antioxidants per serving. Green coffee beans contain about 1,000 antioxidants, and the brewing process adds 300 more. This is four times more than the antioxidant content of green tea. The brewing process creates its own set of helpful compound which are unique to coffee alone. Although the exact amount of antioxidants in the average cup of coffee still remains to be known. Here are some other reported health benefits associated with coffee:

* A study published in the European Journal of Neurology and the
Canadian Study of Health and Aging, found that those who drank more coffee were significantly less likely to develop Alzheimer’s disease.

* A number of studies have indicated that people who drink coffee on a regular basis are up to 80 percent less likely to develop Parkinson’s disease. This condition develops when the dopamine levels in the brain falls thereby interrupting nerve signals from the brain to the muscles resulting to memory impairment accompanied by tremors and gait disturbances. Caffeine increases the expression of dopamine receptors in the brain.

* Researchers at Harvard School of Public Health concluded that both
men and women coffee drinkers tend to have less risk of developing gallstones.

* According to a new study from University of California which was published in the November issue of Diabetic Care, coffee reduces the risk of diabetes by over 60 percent. Another study at Vanderbilt University believes that a group of compounds present in coffee called Quinines increase the capacity of the liver to use glucose thus improving the blood sugar control in diabetics. It was also found that coffee contains large amount of chlorogenic acid, tocopherols and magnesium which have been shown to improve insulin sensitivity and glucose metabolism.

* Methylpiridinium, a powerful antioxidant found almost exclusively in coffee boosts blood enzymes that are widely believed to protect against colon cancer.

* Coffee also reduces the incidence of heart disease though the exact mechanism is still unknown.

* Another compound in coffee called trigolline which gives coffee its aroma and bitter taste was shown to have anti-bacterial and anti-adhesive properties which helps prevent dental cavities from forming.

* A Brazilian study has determined that drinking a few cups of coffee a day will also increase male fertility. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the caffeine in coffee appears to increase sperm motility thus increasing the odds of pregnancy. Coffee is neither a miracle drink nor a cure for all diseases like the hype we get nowadays in drinking green teas and other health drinks in the market. Neither is it a villainous drink that can cause sickness to our body. In order to benefit from it, one should follow the simple but reliable rule that everything should be taken in moderation. A balanced and sensible diet with regular physical activity is still, by far, the best way to keep fit and healthy. So the next time you drink your favorite cup of coffee, share some of these wonderful facts to your loved ones while enjoying the moment.

Quote from: bol-anon nga cebuano on March 18, 2009, 12:58:55 AM
Masturbation is a sin because a person consents in their own heart to take sexual gratification from impure thoughts. It is sinful to indulge in the sexual pleasure that is derived from the satisfaction of using one's imagination to FIXATE upon obscene images, or obscene actions, or forbidden sex. Lustfully fixating upon genitals, or sexual acts, is idolatry. This is called: the worship of obscenities. This is the sin of those addicted to pornography. That's often a "guy" thing. Alternatively, taking delight in the lust of another, or consummating a fantasy of forbidden sexual romance, is the sin of adultery in the heart. That's often a "girl" thing. The act of masturbation is an outward act that confirms that one's heart and mind has consented to an inward act of impurity. Only by consenting to an imagined act of impurity can one attain orgasm. To attain sexual release, a person's will consents to LOVE something that is sexually impure.

Pagkanindot nga pamahayag. Asa ra to si Aduy? Duy, dia ra ang saktong tubag sa imo pangutana, "Is masturbation a sin?"

Love Talk / Re: There comes a time...
September 26, 2009, 12:04:35 PM
There comes a time ...
when we hear a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make change
We are all a part of God's great big family
And the truth you know
Love is all we need

chorus:
We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day, just you and me

Send them your heart so they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free.
As God has shown us by turning stones to bread
And so we all must lend a helping hand

When you're down and out, there seems no hope at all
But if you believe there's no way we can fall
Let us realize that a change can only come
When we stand together as one

LGU Philippines / The 2010 Presidential Election
September 26, 2009, 08:32:27 AM
I like getting by  email Perry Diaz’s

“Balitang Kutsero” columns.

They are fun. Here’s one of them:

“It took Noynoy lot of courage when he entered the presidential race with nothing but a yellow shirt on his back and a fire in his belly.

But the other candidates are also on fire.
Manny Villar has fire in his pockets which has been burning hundreds of millions for his campaign.
Erap Estrada has fire in his heart which endears him to the powerless poor.
Chiz Escudero has fire in his head which gives him lots of ideas on how a kid could run the government.
And Gibo has fire in his ‘cojones’ which, in spite of his .2% rating, keeps him going against all odds.

“And what happened to Bayani Fernando?
He still couldn’t figure it out why Gibo beat him for PaLaKa’s nomination?
He should have known that La Gloria’s preferences were Noli first, Gibo second, and Bayani… zero.
Now, he’s saying that he’s going to bolt PaLaKa! Quo vadis, Bayani?

“Who are the other casualties of the Rigodon de Horror?
Dick Gordon found out that he’s too chubby to fight like Flash Gordon.
Nick Perlas found out that nobody is reading his website on how he will run the government.
Fr. Ed Panlilio found out that being a priest is not enough to exorcise corruption out of government.
Bro. Eddie Villanueva found out that to win he has to be ‘numero uno’ not just a ‘miron.’
Loren Legarda would find out pretty soon that beauty is not a replacement for brains.
Miriam Defensor-Santiago found out that brains is not a substitute for beauty.
Jamby Madrigal knew that money can’t buy brains.
Jojo Binay found out that he needs charisma to win.
Bro. Mike Velarde found out that being Charismatic is not enough to win.
Noli De Castro found out that running for president under Gloria’s PaLaKa is a ‘kiss of death.
JC de los Reyes found out that to run he needs to learn how to walk first.
And Erap Estrada will soon find out...

that at 72 years, all he could do is play domino.”

Quote from: Lorenzo on September 26, 2009, 12:28:59 AM
I used to contemplate and entertain thoughts of priestly ministry in my last year of college, actually.
But the only thing that prevented me from fully acting on it was the notion of total sacrifice.

I want to have children in the future, to be a physical father, by His Will.

And this was a problem that I had, after attending many various Catholic Conferences for Male Catholic Students at the  Diocese of Erie, Pennsylvania and the Diocese of Pittsburgh, I talked it over with my collegiate chaplain.

His words of advice to me was, "Al, discern, you must discern the calling, if it is legitimate and genuine."
"Are you willing to sacrifice and give up everything to carry the Cross of Priestly Ministry? Can you answer the call of the Royal Priesthood?"

I could not.

I just could not do it. I was called, but I could not answer fully.

And it is okay, for me, i realize that God calls me to a different purpose in life. To live a life of a layman, and to heal the bodies of sick fellows.

----

Many are called to PRIESTHOOD, but very few can answer its calling.
Priesthood is TOTAL SACRIFICE.

:)

It is , in my opinion, one of the greatest Sacraments...

Bro Lorenz, God has a purpose ngano wala ka mapari. Gihimo ka niyang dual purpose. A medical practicioner and a Global Evangelizer dinhi sa TB. Layo ra kaayo ang pari nimo. Thanks Glac for the interest.
Yes, that is true. 60 thousand lang ang usa ka balay.
Tan-awa lang sa GK website.
Throughout the Philippines, there are now over 5,000 houses
in less than 5 years nga paningkamot sa taga Gawad Kalinga.

Your idea of donating 1 house for a year is okay na.
True story ito. In Manila, a group of kids (members of
the Kids For Christ) went carolling. Raised close to 60k
ilang nakita sa daygon. Ug nagpatukod silag usa ka house
didto sa GK Smokey Mountain. Read more inspiring stories
sa GK Website.

Sa dinagko pod nga istorya, Dylan Wilk, a young British millionaire,
heard of Gawad Kalinga. He went to the Philippines and see for himself.
He was so awed by the work of God, through this Filipino idea
that he flew home, sold his sports car, went back to the Philippines
and constructed 1 village of 80 houses!

Later on, Wilk married a Filipina who is working for Gawad Kalinga.

1. Buhatan ug balay ang mga pobre (as in tua nagpuyo sa kalsada, kariton, ilawom sa tulay, etc.)
2. Pwede mo maghugpong for this concern and name it like One Bohol OFWs.
3. The group will then pool financial resources for the houses.
4. Barato ra ang balay sa Gawad Kalinga. Usa ka balay 60 Thousand ra.
5. The group can sponsor one village in Bohol and name it One Bohol OFWs Gawad Kalinga Village.
7. But the usual situation is, ang grupo nga mo-sponsor ganahan mo sagubang sa tanang needs per village.

Aron masabtan pag-ayo giunsa paghimo sa GK kini nga idea, please go to Gawad Kalinga website.

God bless you all.
