Wings

This is a tattoo design that is both magical and spiritual. In many legends and myths, to have wings is a reward given to those who have proven their worth. And aside from the aesthetics a pair gives to any design, knowing that it is associated with speed, elevation, and freedom is enough to make wing tattoos among the most requested tattoo symbols and designs.

Angel

Angels are religious symbols that are believed to be winged spirits intended to deliver the word of God to mankind. They are considered higher beings and therefore a nice niche for a cool tattoo design. Angel tattoos are very popular among all cultures in various forms. They can also take the form of an archangel like Michael or Uriel.

Star / Nautical Star

There is something about stars that is very pleasing to the eyes. Aside from the fact that stars symbolize fame, guidance, and luck, these striking symbols create exciting tattoo designs that even celebrities can’t refuse. Victoria Beckham and Rhianna are two of the most well-known celebrities rocking star tattoos.

Tribal

This is the most requested tattoo design ever. I am not sure why folks really want tribal tattoos in this modern world, but perhaps the contrast of savage design and the new-age body gives a certain level of charm. Besides, tribal designs are quite intricate and attractive, offering rich choices for the tattoo enthusiasts.

Tribal tattoos consist of an exciting array of tattoo design possibilities, ranging from the traditional tribal designs of indigenous and aboriginal cultures to the latest in graphic design for the ink-hungry body.

The picture of a mountain toad eating a Jerdon’s pit viper was taken by a tourist at Qingcheng Mountain park in Sichuan, central China.

Ran Longzhong, from Chongqing, told IC Media that he had been unable to believe his eyes and was happy he had witness this amazing Scene.

“I was wandering on the mountain road, and suddenly I spotted a toad that was eating down a snake, which was still struggling,” he said.

“The toad ate down the whole snake in around five minutes. It’s hard to believe that a predator can be hunted by its prey.”

A local zoologist said it was the first time he had ever heard of a snake being eaten by a toad. (IC Media)

The source of the bacteria has not been traced. An investigation of the tattoo parlor by local authorities in December 2009 found all the procedures complied with Washington State safety and sanitation standards, although they did instruct the owner to switch to sterilized water instead of tap water for rinse solutions and diluting tattoo dyes.

None of the samples taken from various sites in the parlor, including the source of tap water, the tip of a reusable black ink container, various bits of equipment, the soap dispenser, and so on, showed traces of mycobacteria when tested by the CDC.

However, the authors note that although water has been suspected as a reservoir for M. haemophilum for various reasons, when investigators come to test environmental samples, using culture tests, as in this case, they are usually negative. They suggest that perhaps the interval of more than four months between the man visiting the parlor and the local authority investigation further reduced the chance of recovering any M. haemophilum.

They suggest tattoo operators probably use tap water because:

"No tattoo industry standards exist for the practice of diluting tattoo ink. Washington State does not specifically require tattoo artists to use steam-distilled or sterile water when rinsing needles or diluting ink."

But they refer to legislation, brought in in July 2010, that "prohibits mixing ink and pigments with improper ingredients".

So their conclusion, and recommendation is that despite the fact infections due to water appear uncommon, operators should not use tap water for for tattoo procedures. --More at: http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/232631.php

By Agence France-Presse, Updated: 8/10/2011

At least two men may have come down with a rare bacterial skin infection that is hard to treat with antibiotics after getting tattoos at a store in Seattle, US health authorities said Wednesday.

One 44-year-old man was confirmed to have a case of Mycobacterium haemophilum after getting a tattoo on his arm in the western US city in August 2009, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

The infection, which showed up as a bumpy red rash and a pus infection on the skin's surface, resisted treatment with several antibiotics but eventually disappeared after nine months.

A second suspected case was reported in a 35-year-old man who got a tattoo at the same place two months later, but tests were inconclusive. The CDC said it considered it a "suspected" instance of infection.

The source of the bacteria remains a mystery. Authorities said the tattoo parlor was in compliance with safety regulations but told the owner to use sterilized water for rinsing skin and diluting ink instead of tap water. -- http://news.ph.msn.com/

Artists seek 'Kulo' reopening
By Rhodina Villanueva (The Philippine Star) Updated August 12, 2011 12:00 AM

MANILA, Philippines - Artist groups yesterday called for the reopening of the exhibit featuring the controversial installation by artist Mideo Cruz at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP).

The Concerned Artists of the Philippines (CAP) and Palayain ang Sining condemned censorship and pushed for “artistic freedom of expression.”

Iggy Rodriguez of Palayain ang Sining said they plan to hold a dialogue with the CCP to reopen the exhibit “Kulo” on Aug. 21, supposed to be its last day had it not been closed.

“We call on the Cultural Center of the Philippines to reopen the exhibition in the spirit of free flow of ideas and cultural expression, in the spirit of the long tradition of progressive artists who have fought for freedom of expression and against censorship,” Rodriguez said in a news conference held at the University of the Philippines-Diliman College of Mass Communications.

The groups also plan to hold a protest rally at the CCP grounds.

“A rally of artists will also be staged at the CCP grounds. We are also in the process of negotiating with other institutions concerning the future exhibits of our artists,” Rodriguez said.

CAP said the closure of the exhibit because of pressure from religious groups offended by it would set a precedent for other exhibits in the future.

National Artist for Literature Bienvenido Lumbera, also CAP chair, expressed support for the organizers of the exhibit.

“We support the CCP, especially its Visual Arts Unit which was headed by Karen Flores, and the organizers of Kulo for upholding freedom of expression as guaranteed by the 1987 Constitution,” he said.   â€œThe bishops and the lay leaders who are pressuring the CCP to close the show are within their right to speak against Kulo. We believe, however, that this demand to suppress the show smacks of the religious fascism of the friars of Rizal’s time and certainly unacceptable in the 21st century,” he added.

CAP secretary-general Neil Doloricon, also a professor at the UP College of Fine Arts, meanwhile, appealed to critics of the exhibit “not to resort to intimidation and defamation that threaten the artist’s freedom of expression.”

Artist groups Sining Bugkos, Ugat Lahi and Karatula also expressed their support for Cruz.

Cruz, for his part, said the controversy stirred by his installation piece will not stop him from expressing his beliefs through art.

“My works bear metaphorical messages. The meaning refers to what you see around you, in your homes, in the community. However, this controversy will not stop me from expressing myself through my art works,” he said. --More at: http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=715830&publicationSubCategoryId=63

'Hot money' almost quadrupled in first 7 months of 2011
By Lawrence Agcaoili (The Philippine Star) Updated August 12, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (1) View comments

MANILA, Philippines - Foreign portfolio investments or “hot money” almost quadrupled in the first seven months of the year on the back of strong investments in publicly-listed shares and in peso-denominated government securities, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported yesterday.

BSP Gov. Amando Tetangco Jr. said in a statement that net inflows of foreign portfolio investments surged 280 percent to $2.663 billion in January to July from $700.89 million booked in the same period last year.

Portfolio investments are called hot money because they can be pulled out easily.

Philippine share prices closed higher on yesterday, bucking the decline in global markets.

The bellwether 30-company Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) index climbed 20.88 points or 0.49 percent to 4,311.02 while the all shares added 8.73 points or 0.29 percent at 2,996.81.

Global stocks tumbled on Monday in reaction to Standard & Poor’s historic downgrading of US long-term sovereign debt on Friday last week.

Tetangco pointed out that inflows more than doubled to $10.49 billion in the first seven months of the year from $4.978 billion in the same period last year.

Data showed investments in PSE-listed shares surged 62 percent to $5.5 billion from $3.4 billion. Major recipients were holding firms with $1.4 billion; banks with $969 million; property developers, $813 million; telecommunications companies, $713 million; and utilities firms, $679 million. --More at: http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=715842&publicationSubCategoryId=63

European Union EU / The sad truth behind London riot
August 12, 2011, 05:41:10 AM
British leaders are concerned the rioting could damage confidence in the economy and in London, one of the world's biggest financial centers and venue for next year's Olympics.

The prime minister said criminal street gangs were at the heart of the violence. "Territorial, hierarchical and incredibly violent, they are mostly composed of young boys, mainly from dysfunctional homes," he added.

Arguing that police, local government and voluntary workers needed to work together to stop inner-city street gangs, as they had in American cities such as Boston, he said: "I want this to be a national priority."

London police staged new raids on apartments Thursday recovering looted designer clothes and iPods.

A surge in police numbers helped calm streets Wednesday night, but the previous episodes of often unchecked disorder have embarrassed the authorities and exhausted emergency services.

Cameron's view of the rioters as thrill-seeking thugs who are indicative of a breakdown in Britain's social fabric and morals has struck a chord with many people.

Others point to chronic tensions between police and youth, a dearth of opportunities for children from disadvantaged areas and visible inequalities where the wealthy often live in elegant houses just yards away from run-down city estates.

Social strains have grown in Britain for some time, with the economy struggling to clamber out of an 18-month recession, one in five young people out of work and high inflation squeezing incomes and hitting the poor hardest.

The crisis has also exposed Britain to opportunistic attack or ridicule from countries stung by frequent Western criticism of their human rights records and who now scent hypocrisy.

Iran's hardline Kayhan newspaper likened the British riots to Arab protests against autocrats, saying the "tumult against illegitimate rule ... has found its way to the heart of Europe."

State media in Libya have also depicted the British unrest as legitimate protests born of social deprivation.

Libyan state television said Cameron was using Irish and Scottish "mercenaries" to tame the riots in English cities.

European Union EU / The sad truth behind London riot
August 12, 2011, 05:38:51 AM
Hugh Orde, president of the Association of Chief Police Officers, said this week a 20 percent cut in police funding until 2015, planned by the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition, would pose great challenges.

"I do sense, without question, resentment (among police officers) that they are now being portrayed in the routine as corrupt, unprofessional and need sorting out," he told Reuters.

On Wednesday, London Mayor Boris Johnson, a member of Cameron's party, called the case for police funding cuts "pretty frail," the Guardian reported.

The British leader said he would maintain a higher police presence of 16,000 officers on London streets through the weekend and would consider calling in the army for secondary roles in future unrest to free up front-line police.

The prime minister promised to compensate people whose property was damaged by rioters, even if they were uninsured. The riots will cost insurers more than 200 million pounds ($320 million), the Association of British Insurers estimated.

Cameron, who has already authorized police to use baton rounds and water cannon where necessary, said he would explore curbs on the use of social media tools if these were being used to plot "violence, disorder and criminality."

Public fury over looting

Many Britons were appalled at the scenes on their streets, from the televised mugging of an injured Malaysian teen-ager to a Polish woman photographed leaping from a burning building, as well as the looting of anything from baby clothes to TV sets.

But occupying the moral high ground is tricky in a country where some lawmakers and policemen have been embroiled in expenses and bribery scandals, and top bankers take huge bonuses even as the taxpayer bails out financial institutions.

'It's about culture'

Cameron denied deprivation or the spending cuts, mostly not yet implemented, had caused the riots.

"This is not about poverty, it's about culture. A culture that glorifies violence, shows disrespect to authority, and says everything about rights but nothing about responsibilities," Cameron said.

The opposition party has also been reluctant to blame budget cuts for the violence, UK's Guardian newspaper reported. Labour leader Ed Miliband said the reasons behind the riots were "complex" and warned against "simplistic solutions" for deeper societal problems, the newspaper reported. Miliband cited parental responsibility and "gang culture" as among issues that were contributing to a sense of lawlessness.

Police have arrested more than 1,200 people across England.

Among those charged were the daughter of a millionaire, a teaching assistant, a charity worker and an 11-year-old boy.

At Westminster magistrates' court, one of the first cases was that of a second-year university law student accused of being part of a gang that ransacked cafes and restaurants in the upmarket area of St John's Wood.

The initial police response was inadequate, Cameron told legislators who had been recalled from their summer break. "There were simply far too few police deployed on to the streets. And the tactics they were using weren't working."

Defending planned police funding cuts against criticism from Miliband, Cameron proposed more police powers, including the right to demand that people remove face coverings if they are suspected of crime.

"I hope that in the debates we have on the causes we don't fall into a tiresome discussion about resources," said Cameron.

"When you have deep moral failures you don't hit them with a wall of money."

Cameron denies budget cuts caused UK riots
Critics say public services reductions, unemployment helped fuel violence
msnbc.com staff and news service reports

LONDON â€" Prime Minister David Cameron blamed the worst riots in Britain for decades on street gang members and opportunistic looters and denied government austerity measures or poverty caused the violence in London and other major English cities.

Cameron told an emergency session of parliament on Thursday that police tactics had failed at the start of the rioting. Courts worked through the night to deal with hundreds of mostly young people arrested during the mayhem.

"The fightback has well and truly begun," said the Conservative leader, in power for 15 months.

"As to the lawless minority, the criminals who've taken what they can get, I say this: We will track you down, we will find you, we will charge you, we will punish you. You will pay for what you have done," Cameron said.

Police in central England said they arrested three people, ages 16, 17 and 26, on suspicion of murder after three men protecting property in Birmingham from rioters were fatally hit by a car.

Community leaders say inequality, cuts to public services by the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government and youth unemployment fed into the violence in London, Birmingham, Manchester and other multi-ethnic cities.

Cameron is under pressure from different quarters to ease his austerity plans, toughen policing and do more for inner-city communities, even as economic malaise grips a nation whose social and racial tensions exploded in four nights of mayhem.

His statement was followed by another emergency address to parliament by the finance minister, George Osborne, in the wake of the euro zone debt crisis.

Osborne said Britain's urgency in dealing with its budget deficit was an example to the rest of Europe but many Britons fear large job losses, benefit cuts and reduced services in the government's austerity drive.

The unrest flared first in north London after police shot dead a black man. That disturbance then mutated into widespread looting and violence across several cities.

European Union EU / The sad truth behind London riot
August 12, 2011, 05:23:05 AM
By Martin Fletcher, NBC News correspondent

LONDON -- As political and social protests grip the Middle East, are growing in Europe and a riot exploded in north London this weekend, here's a sad truth, expressed by a Londoner when asked by a television reporter: Is rioting the correct way to express your discontent?

"Yes," said the young man. "You wouldn't be talking to me now if we didn't riot, would you?"

The TV reporter from Britain's ITV had no response. So the young man pressed his advantage. "Two months ago we marched to Scotland Yard,  more than 2,000 of us, all blacks, and it was peaceful and calm and you know what? Not a word in the press. Last night a bit of rioting and looting and look around you."

Eavesdropping from among the onlookers, I looked around. A dozen TV crews and newspaper reporters interviewing the young men everywhere.

The truth is that discontent has been simmering among Britain's urban poor for years, and few have paid attention. Social activists say one out of two children in Tottenham live in poverty. It's one of the poorest areas of Britain. Britain's worst riots in decades took place here in 1985. A policeman was hacked to death. After these riots, the same young man pointed out, "They built us a swimming pool."

Poverty, joblessness cycle

Police and local leaders in Tottenham made real progress in improving community relations in the intervening years and that's true about all of Britain. The best way to prevent crime, the theory goes, is to improve the lot of the people, then they won't need to commit crimes. But caught in a poverty and joblessness cycle, young people in many British urban areas have little hope of a better life.

So when a local 29-year-old father, described by police as a gangster, was shot dead by an officer, the response came quickly.

Mark Duggan was killed Thursday. On Saturday night about 50 relatives and friends protested outside the Tottenham police station.

Local young men, almost all with their heads covered by hoods -- known here as "hoodies" -- took advantage to indulge themselves in a favorite sport: cursing the police. This quickly escalated into a night of hurling rocks, bottles (Jack Daniels, one young man told me -- "we broke into the liquor store, drank the Jack Daniels and threw the bottles at the cops"), burning two patrol cars, torching buildings, smashing shop windows and carting off hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of phones, cameras and clothes.

The looting and rioting had nothing at all to do with the killing of Mark Duggan. That was the spark. The bonfire had been prepared by years of neglect, fueled by the anger of young men with no stake in the system, angry at everybody and quick to exploit fury at the killing of a local man, even if he did allegedly fire at the police officer first.

So now the question people in Tottenham are asking is: Will the government pay attention to the social issues underlying the anger?

And a wider question is: Would anyone care at all if there had not been violence? -- http://worldblog.msnbc.msn.com/

MANILA, Philippines - Miss Universe-Philippines Shamcey Supsup left for Colombia, Wednesday night, to undergo some final polishing to cap her Miss Universe training. The 25-year old board-topping architect, who graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines, will stay in Bogota, Colombia for ten days before proceeding to Sao Paulo, Brazil where the Miss Universe 2011 pageant will be held.

In a stellar send-off party by Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) at the Topaz Room of Gateway Suites in Araneta Center, Supsup seemed unfazed by the added pressure brought by the amazing fourth place finish by her predecessor Venus Raj.

“When I won in April, I knew that the journey to become the next Filipina Miss Universe would be very challenging, but it will be an endeavour to be enjoyed,” Supsup said in the send-off party.

In a one-on-one interview with philstar.com, Supsup revealed that it took extensive efforts before she was convinced to join Binibining Pilipinas. She mentioned that she was, at first, afraid to join beauty pageants, but the enduring support of her family and friends helped her overcome such fear.

“I was scared. Alam mo 'yung feeling that you don't want to make a mistake, and you don't want to be embarrassed? Since hindi ako into pageants, hindi ako marunong; I did not want to try it. But with the support of my friends, of my family, sila 'yung nagbigay ng force para ako'y mag-start (referring to joining the Binibining Pilipinas pageant). But when it started, ako na mismo ang nag-motivate sa sarili ko to do this and to do that because I have a responsibility.”

While in the country, Supsup underwent rigid trainings on personality development, language, history, and hair and make-up. Despite said trainings, Supsup maintained that her winning edge would be revealing her true self.

“I'll just be myself. Ganu'n yung nangyari sa Binibini, I was just being myself. I didn’t try to please everyone. I just showed who I really am,” Supsup told philstar.com.

The coronation night for the Miss Universe pageant will take place on September 12 at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo.

- BANAT NEWS

The newly-proclaimed senator was seen as early as 12:00 noon at Hotel Sofitel in Pasay where the SET later announced its decision. It was a unanimous vote by members, except for Senator Lito Lapid, who is abroad.

Surrounded by family and friends, Pimentel said his goal as a lawmaker is to implement electoral reforms.

He also wants to become a member of the SET “to correct the loopholes [in its rules].”

In a press conference on Thursday morning, he also revealed his intention of joining the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

He will proceed to Mati, Davao Oriental Thursday night.

He will take his oath Friday morning there, where he garnered the most votes during the 2007 elections.

He expects to join the Senate as a member of its ranks on Monday morning. -- http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/

MANILA, Philippines (2nd UPDATE) - The Senate Electoral Tribunal (SET) finally proclaimed Thursday afternoon lawyer Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III as a winner in the 2007 polls.

The tribunal gave merit to Pimentel’s election protest, which raised questions of irregularity and fraud in the ballots and election returns obtained from precincts in Mindanao.

Based on the SET’s appreciation, Pimentel led by 258,166 votes from Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri, who announced his resignation August 3.

The tribunal studied a total of 384,680 ballots, of which only 69,811 were accepted.

The tribunal rejected a total of 254,222 spurious and fake ballots. These ballots were considered fake because of deformities in the watermark, no ultraviolet spots and after-glow spots, as well as chemical or solvent insensitive.

SET also said the fake ballots’ microprints were not readable even under a magnifying glass. It also noted these were shorter compared to the genuine ballots.

It also said around 60,000 genuine ballots were also rejected because they were prepared by 1 or 2 persons, based on the style and stroke of the hand-writing.

The SET’s findings put credence into allegations of new witnesses to cheating during the 2007 mid-term polls.

Suspended Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Gov. Zaldy Ampatuan and former Maguindanao election supervisor Lintang Bedol have signed affidavits saying they were ordered by Malacañang to pad the votes for Zubiri while reducing the votes for 3 opposition bets in Maguindanao and other controlled areas.

The tribunal also fast-tracked the appreciation of the ballots following Zubiri’s decision to drop a counter-protest. The latter had asked the SET to study a total of 73,265 poll centers.

After announcing his resignation in a privilege speech at the Senate last week, Zubiri subsequently pulled out his counter-protest.

Health and Food / Best Ways to Protect Your Heart
August 11, 2011, 03:13:57 PM
By Consumer Reports
Mon, Aug 08, 2011

Many people fail to take the proven steps to prevent heart attacks and strokes. The strategies listed below are ranked by the number of heart attacks and strokes they could prevent in American adults over the next 30 years, according to a special report in the July 29, 2008, issue of Circulation.

Lower your blood pressure

Goal: A systolic (upper) level under 140 and a diastolic (lower) level under 90.
Problems prevented:  6.2 million heart attacks, 7 million strokes.
What you can do:  Get your blood pressure checked at least once a year. If it's high, cut back on salt, lose excess weight, and exercise more. If drugs are necessary, our CR Best Buy Drugs recommendation for most people is a generic diuretic, especially a thiazide diuretic.

Improve your cholesterol levels

Goal: An LDL (bad) cholesterol under 160 for people at low risk of heart attack, 130 for those at intermediate risk, and 100 for those at high risk. (To determine your risk, use our online calculator.)
Problems prevented: 9.6 million heart attacks, 3 million strokes.
What you can do: Men 35 and older as well as women 45 and older with coronary risk factors, such as high blood pressure, should get tested at least every five years. Other adults might consider testing, too. If your levels are high, control your weight, exercise more, quit smoking, and eat a heart-healthy diet. If medication is necessary, our CR Best Buy Drugs recommendations for most people are generic lovastatin, pravastatin, or simvastatin.

Lose excess weight

Goal: A body mass index (BMI) under 30 (the cutoff for obesity) and preferably under 25 (the cutoff for being overweight).
Problems prevented: 7.1 million heart attacks, 1.1 million strokes.
What you can do:  Determine your BMI by multiplying your weight in pounds by 703, then dividing by your height squared in inches. (Or use our online calculator.) Even simpler: Measure your waist. Men with a waistline over 40 inches and women with a measurement over 35 inches should lose weight.

Control your blood sugar level

Goal:  A fasting blood glucose level under 110 for people who do not have diabetes, and preferably under 100; an A1C level, a measure of long-term blood sugar control, under 7 percent for people who already have the condition.
Problems prevented:  4.8 million heart attacks, 0.6 million strokes.
What you can do:  Consider getting your blood sugar level measured, especially if you're at high risk for type 2 diabetes because of high blood pressure or cholesterol levels or excess weight. The same lifestyle changes that lower blood pressure and cholesterol can lower blood sugar, too. Our CR Best Buy Drugs recommendation for most people with type 2 diabetes is generic metformin, alone or combined with other drugs.

Stop smoking

Goal: Quitâ€"for good.
Problems prevented: 3.3 million heart attacks, 1.4 million strokes.
What you can do: Talk with a doctor about the best smoking-cessation program for you and be examined for smoking-related illness.

Consider low-dose aspirin

Goal: Take a low-dose (81 milligrams) aspirin daily if appropriate.
Problems prevented: 3.4 million heart attacks, 0.3 million strokes.
What you can do: Talk to a doctor about your risk of heart attack, stroke, and gastrointestinal bleeding starting at age 45 for men and 55 for women. Use our calculator to see whether the benefits of aspirin outweigh its risks for you. -- http://health.yahoo.net/

Experts think Breivik’s manifesto contains secret code
The Lookout â€" 10 hrs ago

A group of hundreds of international experts are scouring the accused Norway shooter's 1,500-page manifesto for signs of a secret code.

Rolf Frøysa, the chief technology expert at a broadband internet company in Norway, told the UK Telegraph that when he learned that Anders Breivik left behind a manifesto that plagiarized large portions of the writings of Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, he began to wonder if Breivik also made use of codes in the text of his broadside. Kaczynski famously embedded a code in his writings that took years to crack.

Frøysa started a site where users who want to volunteer can examine the document and share their findings.

When he began examining the document, about 46 internet links attracted his attention. The URLs didn't work, but did contain numbers inside of them. When Frøysa plugged those numbers in as GPS coordinates, he found that most of the links corresponded to sites in Europe, such as a train station in Liverpool. You can see a map of the cities here.

Police think the GPS coordinates "could be a part of the plan to get attention," according to a translation of VG newspaper. But they could also be other terror attack targets, as Breivik said initially he was part of a "cell."

According to an English translation of an account in the newspaper Dagavisen, a group of hackers called Noria broke into Breivik's email and handed over the data to a journalist named Kjetil Stormark. The hacking group thought the emails could shed light on whether Breivik was working alone or had accomplices, as he originally claimed. But it's unclear if police will be able to use the emails, since they were illegally obtained.

Breivik is accused of detonating a bomb in Oslo that killed eight people and then going to a youth camp affiliated with Norway's ruling political party and killing 69 people there. In his manifesto, he rails against multiculturalism and Islam, among other things. -- http://news.yahoo.com/

Here's part of the exchange from the town hall:

Constituent: "What I'm here to do is ask you for your apology."

McCain: "What apology is in order?"

Constituent: "Because that was very clumsy of you"

McCain: "Was there anything wrong with what I said?"

Constituent: "Are you saying you're not apologizing?"

McCain: "I don't know what to apologize for."

Heard in the back: "For calling tea partiers hobbits!"

McCain: "What I said was true. It's unrealistic and unfair to the American people to tell them that we have to pass a balanced-budget amendment to the Constitution before we would act. If anyone misunderstood that then of course I would apologize. ... But it's not my fault if they misunderstood. ... I am sorry if I was misunderstood. But I am not sorry for what I said. Why should I if it was a fact?" -- http://news.yahoo.com/

A tea partier confronted Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain during a town hall meeting Monday with one simple request: Please apologize for calling us "hobbits."

Instead, McCain may have just made matters worse. "I am sorry if I was misunderstood," he told the constituent after a testy exchange, which can be seen on video below. "But I am not sorry for what I said. Why should I if it was a fact?""

At the the height of the debt ceiling battle last month, McCain read a Wall Street Journal editorial aloud on the Senate floor that slammed tea party-backed Republicans and called them "hobbits" for demanding a balanced-budget amendment to the Constitution in return for their votes to raise the debt ceiling. -- http://news.yahoo.com/
