This should not be taken as an excuse to the maulers who are in authority. Why place the law in their own hands? They are supposed to be exemplars of peacemakers. Teaching lessons to erring people by mauling is not condoned in fair and just society. Where is the spirit of delicadeza of the Pangandaman family?
#506
It is because people are tired of trusting other peoples motives. Our political system has to be blamed about this irresponsible attitude which seems to be normalized in our present societal set up. I know Bea's motive is true to her heart and soul. Why not give her a chance?

Why is our courts now so subjective about handling such an issue? Is it not part of their duty to weigh things down with fairness? Is it enough for them to favor such an action because they are also tax payers? The level of capability of taxpayers has to be assessed carefully, otherwise they are exercising in consonance with what we call "blanket authority". Overtaxing the lowly Boholanos! It's fallacious! A fallacy called, 'argumentum ad verecurdiam'. They are supposed to exercise their judicial power objectively! What a shame!

I blushed when one time my family was able to witness a show 'It's a Real Deal' on TV with me as a guest. The show was hosted by Toni Rose and Chickie Roa. Then suddendly my son exclaimed, "A yan si Daddy, panoorin ninyo!"

Then when I was home, he asked me, "Dad, sino ba ang nagmake-up sa 'yo? Para kang mukhang patay!"

I agree with this proposal. We need to revive and redevelop the spirit of patriotism amongst our people more particularly the new and the next generations to come. Gone were the days when patriotism was in every hearts of the Pilipino people.

Ako yes because this is the church business strategy. They oppose any artificial methods to birth control because they wanted many children be born naturaly. Naturally, Filipino couples are loving partners because the church teaches us to love your lifetime partner. Loving your liftime partner is habit forming that both, wife and husband, would crave for love three times a day. Bag ohay pa gani nangilomkilom tua na sa solud sa kwarto, matulog na kuno. By that means, our population multiplies in leaps and bounds producing so many children, and therfore makes the church happy as expected. Pag dyotay lang ang mga batang ipanganak, syempre gamay ra sad ang kita sa simbahan kay dyotay ra man ang magpabunyag. LOL...You may not believe me but this is what my neighbor say!

The statistical data presented the general outcome of the survey made. It never showed the random sampling of every barangay that represents the entirity of the municipality of Guindulman. When statistical data of every barangay is available the local government could program the priority of actions that could be taken to alleviate the issue of concern depending on the worst condition of the parameter involved in the survey. In my own opinion, the issue that needs immediate concern is health and sanitation.

In my case, lose of virginity is not a sort of an issue since I am on the male side which is not a bigger question with the females as with males. Male virginity? Should anyone out there who could claim that his male virginity is still intact? C'mom raise your right foot please! Male virginity had long been lost way before a man gets married. So there's no question about that, is there?

Babaye: Unsa man imong tuyo?

Sus, kaulaw gani ning sestemaha sa courtship nato no? Pero morag safer way to play. Unlike now, pwede na sa text. Kita kits ta ha adtos muto! Yoohoo...

General Topic / Re: Cutting Carbon Dioxide Use
January 16, 2009, 06:42:34 AM
I believe really that rice paddies emit methane gas out of the soaked vegetations rotten under the standing water. This does not come from the rice plants itself but may I repeat, from the rotten rice stalks and other vegetations. Although vegtations like greening rice plantations serve as basin in containing and absorbing CO2 the arithmetic remainder is still is the methane gas but now of lesser quatity. This scenario poses some challenging venture for environmental scientist to further search ways and means to reduce further emission of methane gas from rice paddies. It might be a change in rice farming methods of reducing rotten vegetations while maintaining the organic nutrients of the soil. Or rice farming using hydroponic methods fitted in flood-free areas. There's no possibility to reduce rice production here in our country than closing down large manufacturing industry emitting CO2. People can afford to walk with full stomach than ride a luxury car with hungry stomach.

Cattle industry in Australia, the biggest producer of dairy milk from cattles is also culprit of methane gas emission from manures. Did they stop cattle raising just for that? Of course not because of socio-economic impact.

Quote from: ayessa on January 16, 2009, 12:59:51 AM
Morals are formed because of careful observance of acceptable traits or social attitude in a society and this is institutionlized in any free agency, be it religion, education, traditions, customs, practices and beliefs.  Religion may be only one of the institutionalizing agencies of morality, but it reserves the most legitimate authority, most especially in the Philippines.

Theoretically, not.  A strong and peaceful society may not be founded by religious  beliefs.  A strong and peaceful society is built by people who knows how to respect other religion and its beliefs.

Thanks Ayessa! You deserve my credit! Yes, it's true that here in the Philippines religion is the dominant authority in desiminating morality among the Filipinos. They are also the agents of education, customs, traditions, practices and beliefs based on dogmatic idealism. However, the carrier of religious beliefs are even unable to coincide two parallel lines between beliefs and practices. That's why people who look at them as supposedly the exemplars of morality are now more confused as to whom they would like to pattern their individual trait and character. In this kind of a scenario, 'folk religion' comes into the scene where parents take the responsibility of shaping the moral character of their children based on folk beliefs, a traditional one.

Blogs and email reactions could be of some interest to other networks. I personally experienced this when a Global Fraternal Network requested my permission to publish series of my email reactions with a virtual friend, a netizen also from Guindulman, Bohol for their monthly publication. However, I granted their request for free. Anyway, the fun of sharing ideas is not worthier a penny compared to the learning experience one have with others. It would not be possible here to show you the print publication, but a link to their website would show the publication. The topic we discussed here is all about Freemasonry and the Scripture which is located in pages 8-12 in Vol.3 No. 12, December 2008 issue. Should you have the interest, you may follow this link.

When I was still in my teens, I experienced trapping iwons along the dry creeks lined with bangkal trees. Unja lamingon kini sila for a week or so. Then prepared them for food as follows: Grill them upside down for few minutes until the shell reddens. Remove the abs shell in upside position to prevent turtle soap from spilling. The soap is much tastier than balot. Then remove the flesh from the shell. Take out internal organs. Cook the turtle flesh like ginataan or adobo. Yummm...exotic!

Marriage is a daily learning process for determined couples, determined to stay together every minute even during moments when one is afar from the other. Closeness between married couple does not in anyway mean staying physically together. Married partners could still maintain closeness together even though they are far apart from one another because of some inevitable circumstances.

On the issue of virginity, women here is much affected by chauvinistic perceptions. But for me, virginity could still be maintained as ever when you pour in constant love to the woman you then brought to the altar. I simply tried to redifine the precept of virginity. Before, the word virgin as taught by my teachers means, 'untouched by human hands' which I believed then as correct. Otherwise, you will recieve an ex mark when you have it otherwise. God is good, my wife is still a virgin at her age.

Every religious denomination proclaims their sect as the only true religion and every denomination propagates love of God and fellowmen. And yet, "Blessed are those without ears but hear, those without eyes but see, for theirs is the Kingdon of God."
