Dong, my friend Melmel just had her surgery last Saturday (already a week now) and she is yet to have chemo theraphy. In '06, two doctors in Cagayan de Oro told her she had breast mass in BIRADS category 4 but when she seeked for third and fourth opinion in Cebu, they said it wasn't something that can not be "dissolved" by medication.  I wonder if the doctors in CDO were right then afterall.

I know that prayers can move mountains and so I pray that you whisper a prayer for Melmel.  Thanks a lot, Dong!

Thank you very much, Bem, Tita Sol and Glacier for your kind words.  I am so sad right now.  Very sad.  I was told that there's already a pus in my friend's lung.  She sent me text message yesterday to ask me about my birthday and it really made me cry.   It gave me more resolve to donate blood as an offering for her sickness, my nephew's sickness and for the atonement of my sins, etc.  I got to have lots of reason to do this kay dili ni sayon for me.  The first and only time I donated blood was in 06 when my Mom had surgery.

The thought of needle is enough to kill me, as in my heart is palpitating right now!  I am the biggest coward in the whole world when it comes to needle,  but I will still do this.  I resolve to do this.  Please guys pray for me.

Panihapon:  todo-todong kaon sa Japanese Restaurant.  A birthday treat from a friend.  We had sushi, seafood udon, pot stickers na hinapon, edamame, miso soup and hot sake dayon green tea ice cream!

I remember my worst experience. The nurse can't find my vein. perme sayup. So what she did, while the needle was poked in my skin, she literally moved it from side to side until ma shoot sa ako vein. Fun no? I almost passed out. I never smiled at her. argh!

ngek! atot ning bataa ni! that helps relieved my tension, bem! hahahaha

I know, kadtong gi emergency ko for ulcer bleeding, di na nila makita akong veins busa tusok2x to the max.  Of all the years na wa ko na hospital, in just 5 days, nabawi tanan to.  As in!  Nahurot na akong nerves ug kakuyap.

di man gani kamao mag ininglis ang ubang Americans, kita pa ba kaha.  pero for sure you redeemed yourself.

Sa BloodSource, Bem.  Mao unta na offering nko for my birthday and for my nephew na masakiton and also for a friend na naay cancer scare karon. I thought about it last night busa gasugod na sakit akong kuto2x sa kahadlok!  I did this na before as offering for my Mom's surgery.  Makamuot kay when I walked in, the first thing I asked was, would you take blood from somebody who wants to give blood but is scared to death to do so?  Tubag dayon nila, "oh yeah.  we'll take care of you."  They treated me like a kid aron malipat ko pag tusok, matabang!  Then I informed them that I was about to pass out.  Ingon sila, just stay with us.   

Di ko katulog maghuna-huna tusukan ko'g dagum kon mag donate ko'g blood!

Jun, I also experienced hardships when we were growing up, but just like you, I was never bitter about it.  I felt privileged of having to go through the hardships when I was growing up because it allowed my faith to encourage me to persevere.  I didn't allow poverty to be a hindrance to get proper education, to dream big.  Nobody should.
